Vince McMahon likes to "humiliate wrestlers" from other promotions. That's why he made 2 Cold Scorpio use the Flash Funk gimmick. Sadly, 2 Cold "needed the money", so he agreed to make an a$$ out of himself for Vince's pleasure.

Yes it's been substantiated that Scorpio got the best of hawk...but Scorpio embellishes more and more every time he tells the story...first time I ever heard about the fight they traded words pretty much the way scorpio told it in the beginning here...hawk punches him,Scorpio jumps on him and gets the upper hand and the boys quickly separate the two of them...now Scorpio narrates the story as if it were a full on action sequence in a combat movie🤣

When was Hawk not strung out on drugs? I'm sure in the fights he won, he was high too. An addict is an addict. And Scorpio knew how to box. Fighting a trained fighter is much different. Ask Rick Steiner, who got beat up by Xavier, a guy that was trained as well. Size is a factor, but when the other guy knows what he's doing, sometimes size doesn't matter...

I believe Scorpio lit Hawk up, but if you listen to the whole story Scorpio was ready to shank Hawk because he knew he could be a problem...why would he lie about that? I think a lot of wrestling fans also side with who was the bigger star in these stories. With the exception of a few, most of the guys who were considered the legit tough guys in wrestling weren’t the top guys and main eventers. It was guys like Dan Spivey, Tracy Smothers, Steve Blackman etc.
Not saying Hawk wasn’t tough in his day, or that he was at his best when him and Scorpio scrapped. But isn’t Hawk’s rep mostly based on beating up drunk guys when he was a bouncer in Minnesota and roughing up jobbers when he got into wrestling in the 80s? I’ve never heard a story where he actually beat up someone who was also considered a fighter. Looking mean and having muscles doesn’t mean you can’t get your ass kicked.

I loved the Road Warriors growing up. I thought they were real life super heros. They say never meet your hero’s cause I had to go to Hawk’s ass too back in 2001 or 2002.I’m from a small and really poor area in Appalachia. It’s the kind of place where the average income is $600 a month for most families. It’s a forgotten coal mining town that has absolutely nothing. No jobs, no entertainment, nothing for kids. It’s the type of place where ya either gotta get out of early or become at best case addicted to alcohol and pills or a little worse case a meth head. The local car dealership sponsored some wrestling shows a couple hours away but had paid wrestlers to come, take pictures and give autographs at the dealership in my town on the way. Disco Inferno, Rick and Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash, David Flair, Bagwell, Lex Luger were some of them. The owner did it for the kids to have a day with free hotdogs, bouncy houses, balloons and meet these guys they thought they’d never see besides on tv. Everybody was awesome and extra nice to the people and kids except one. Hawk. Kids didn’t have anything so they were grabbing the free NASCAR calendars or whatever they could to get signed. I heard Hawk say if another redneck or n word comes up with a f-king Nascar piece of shit for me to sign I’ll shove it up their ass. They can buy a 8/10 picture for $15 ! This is how I feed my family. He kept going on and on using those words and my twin nephews were in his line. My mom was black but I look white. Unless you know me and my family you’d never guess that I’m mixed. They were 8 at the time. He said I’ve already said I ain’t signing shit else free you little welfare n words and kinda shoved one of them. So he was such a piece of shit that he called two little boys the worst name you can call a black adult let alone kids. I don’t think they’d ever been called that let alone by somebody they had figures of. I saw the tears welling up in my nephew Big Daddy and lost it. We called him Big Daddy cause he outweighed his twin by 50 lbs. Anyways I flipped out on him and was beating the shit out of him till some of the other wrestlers and a cop broke it up. I never realized how short the sob was till I was kicking the hell out of him. I was a young Navy Seal at the time, 6”3 about 218 of muscle. I’m like 260 of fat now. Long story short the police wouldn’t press charges when they heard why I’d tagged him. He whined that he was on pain medication and didn’t have any and was irritable. No excusing that though. So he went from being a hero I’d loved to one of the biggest pieces of sh1t I’ve ever ran into in under 5 minutes. My nephews still talk about it and brag that their uncle whipped a Road Warriors ass for them. I didn’t know he couldn’t fight at all.

Off the top of my head Flair, Cornette, Schiavone, Crockett, Powers Of Pain, Norton, Rock N Roll Express, Pat Tanaka, Fantastics, HBK, Nord,Nikita, Don Frye and more all had good things to say about Hawk.
