    The size difference at the coin toss was comical. Dean was almost as big as their linemen

      The only lineman at the toss was Vastardis, who's a Center at 6'3" and Dean isnt even close to his size, let alone the others that are 6'6" and up.

      @@rayelee1301 Wrong...Hutch is a DE which is a lineman. The entire team across the board made Michigan look like a little league team full of noodle arm players. They were all Bigger Faster Stronger and better coached. Period.

    50 yr Michigan fan. Another longtime fan asked me a week before the game to sum up the game in one sentence. I thought about it for about one second and said "That Georgia team isn't losing back to back games".
    My buddy looked at me, sighed , and said "why did you have to say that?". He knew it sounded right

      I made a joke about Michigan showing up and finally noticing how massive Georgia's front seven in and then learning the difference about SEC vs the rest and it came true, but Michigan fought tooth and nail and that was awesome to see

      I agree. Michigan had a good team, but they struggled to beat a mediocre Penn State (7-5) team. Michigan, I believe was good, but not National Championship caliber.

    It was actually a lot of fun watching the game. For 2 or 3 weeks a guy who I went to grad school was constantly telling me about how good Michigan's defensive was. I also heard that UGA would be amazed by the quality of Michigan's offensive line. I did find a few things amazing, but Mike seemed a bit mistaken. I haven't heard from him yet, but ...

    As a Georgia fan I'm proud of the long tradition of excellence in the Michigan football program. Michigan worked hard and contended this year. We will be hearing from the Wolverines again soon.

    Michigan did not flop Rich. Georgia is that good. With exception of the Bama game, which is inexplicable, Georgia did that to everyone this year. Nobody would have beat Georgia last Friday. Congrats to Michigan for a great year.

I am a Georgia fan and its such a weak and insulting argument to say Michigan is no good because Georgia beat them. If you are saying Michigan is no good then that has to be followed with literally every team in football is no good except Georgia or Bama and that is a weak argument. Matchups matter. Georgia matched up well against Michigan. Unbiased fans could see it. That is what it is.

    As a Georgia fan, what I can say is that there's a VAST difference between top 5 recruiting classes and top 15.

      And the rankings not reflecting that. Big ten teams and Notre Dame clogged up the top ten all season. Iowa, Penn, Ohio St, Michigan state, Michigan and Notre Dame all had their turn in top 5 this season and all had embarrassing Bowls and Playoff games. But the media just loves to have the perennial lightweights overhyped every year.The SEC will continue to dominate as long as the big ten and notre dame bias continues. The SEC loves facing off against inferior teams that don't belon in major bowl games.

      And exactly why the myth or Mark Richt being such a great recruiter was...a myth. We had top 10 classes but were 7th best in the SEC one year (true story). It matters how well your rivals are recruiting and when the teams you have to play are such a cut above it's going to be tough.

      @@AlphaDwg Agreed and Clemson has never had the depth of some of the big boys but their starting 11s featured just about as many stars as the other elites. Having to go through the ACC and not the SEC IMO is a big reason they can get by w/ those classes that aren't as deep too. That and to go w/ 2 absolutely elite QBs (no idea why Watson not winning a Heisman isn't seen as a bigger wtf?)

      @@RogerThat902 Yea, I was actually thinking how similar this Michigan team is compared to a Richt-era UGA team. They both have a fairly competitive starting 22 but behind that it gets VERY thin and you see that take shape over the course of the game. Richt would consistently recruit anywhere from like 6-12, and that's just not good enough to get a natty in my opinion.

    The problem for Michigan is not until they can recruit like Ohio State, it would be really difficult to beat the very best teams such as Georgia and Alabama. That's the bottom line. 5-stars recruits count, a lot.

      @@nerdyguy1997 It doesn't matter. In the end, you would win more often than not with more 5-stars recruits such as in the case of the complete mismatch against Georgia. What you are trying to avoid are situations of "oh, look at how much bigger and faster they are", it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that is never a good thing.

    I don’t know why anyone expected anything else. Alabama couldn’t even bully them-they just had the better QB. Georgia has 19 five star players. There’s 2 to 4 teams with elite talent every year, and then there’s everyone else with a couple of overachieving guys thrown to the wolves.

      Exactly, it really comes down to most the time, who is your quarterback. Alabama has a stud who can also run. We had Cade, who is average, and really is no threat to run. You have to have a great athletic quarterback to beat Georgia defense

      @Jason Johnson I'm a lifelong Bama fan. I was at the SEC title game. We had 2 Huge plays in the 2nd half. The Williams TD and pick 6.
      UGA still had 35 min of TOP and 3 red zone trips with ZERO points. We don't have Metchie but our D is peaking at the right time. The title game will be an absolute WAR.
      Michigan and Cincy are damn good teams. They are the 3rd and 4th best this season.
      The Super Senior helped make the season special. There truly is a large gap right now with Bama and UGA and the rest of college football. They just have a different type of athlete. What people don't realize is this years Bama and UGA are the 2 most talented rosters in college football history according to 247 composite.
      I have lots of respect for the Big10.

    This is the first video of yours I’ve seen. Seriously, thank you for not using this as a “we must expand the playoffs” rant. I had no idea what to expect playing Michigan, I’m just glad GA played well. I’ve seen other videos of Michigan fans say they will refuse to watch the championship to protest an all SEC championship game. I am lost. I don’t understand how they want to fix the “issue”. Cincinnati lost to Bama and Michigan lost to GA.
    We could have seen a group of 5 Cincinnati play Michigan for the national championship if they both had won. Seems like a pretty good system to me… I’m not trolling. I just don’t understand

    Not a team in the country would have beat Georgia that night. Michigan needs to recruit for 5 year at a elite level. Georgias 2s would start for a lot of teams. Same for Bama

      There's a lot of teams that have Georgia's talent level but in the B1G only Ohio State can match the top 4-5 SEC teams (the same is true of Clemson in the ACC). This year you saw what happens when you have recruiting misses which created positional holes for the Buckeyes and Tigers they couldn't overcome. That allowed other less talented but senior laden teams to thrive. You don't notice it in the SEC because there is always someone else to pick up the slack (except Alabama... because they are a machine).

      Precisely !! IA and OSU got ours.
      AR and MI got GA. What did WI give ND? GA converted the IA and MD passes that fell to the ground. PS Lions beat Cardinals by 20 - who is better - Cards beat Cowboys in Dallas. Pros play 12-14 games that are competitive - College - some teams top out at as few as 3.

      @@ksimon6485 My kids went to UGA. We have been following UGA all season. Alabama played its best game of the season against UGA. The rest of the season they have been okay. the teams they both played UGA beat the same teams in beat down fashion. Bama struggled. Saban used his we don't get any respect in the SEC championship. He can't do it again. They should have lost to Auburn, they barely beat Florida. They looked better for one game. End of the season Bama struggled. They weren't even that great against Cincy.

    I don’t care that we lost to Georgia. They were the better team. I still love and support my team no matter what. My team had a spectacular season starting unranked, beating Ohio State finally, winning the Big Ten championship, and being ranked #2 in the country. What a complete turnaround from the past few years. Yes, I’m so very proud of what my team has accomplished so far. Thanks to all the players, coaches, and fans! GO BLUE!!!💙💛

    Georgia had a BEAST of a defense last season. That’s why they thrashed Michigan, and finally bested Saban’s Crimson Tide for the first time since 2007.

    Rich, when Michigan beat Ohio St. I loved every second of it. Being a Georgia fan, Michigan had a tremendous season and was worthy of their appearance in the game. You're right, never change a second of Michigan's season. You have to build a team by the action they play every year!

    As a MSU guy, the only important thing is that you got there. Michigan did the unbelievable. I was proud of that group because after taking the L to MSU they didn’t keel over the rest of the season. In fact they learned from that loss and got better each and every game after that. That was a true joy to witness!
    The only thing that is unfortunate, is that if you are in the big ten and not OSU, you are lightyears away from even competing in the cfp. That game was a realization since there have only been 3 big ten teams to get there. One has a shot, and the other two got put back in there place.

    Kudos to you! Seriously, I wish everyone who loves college football could feel this way. It's not all about winning a Natty. Enjoy the success you get. If the season is in the toilet then find hope for next season.
    I'm trying to adopt that philosophy now in preparation for when Nick Saban retires. Bama won't be in contention every year, but I'll still love Bama football and root and hope just as much as I do now. And I hope I enjoy it as much, just minus the championships.

      Georgia simply was not afraid of Michigan’s passing game, and with as talented a defense as Georgia if one phase of your offense doesn’t threaten them, they aren’t going to let you beat them with a one dimensional offense, you must have balanced offense to challenge them. Michigan’s O-line Pushed The Buckeyes around, that wasn’t going to happen with Georgia

      Except that MSU beat them. Then MSU promptly got smoked by Ohio state. Michigan got every ounce of fortune go their way in the week leading up to the game and during the game - that's the only way they were going to beat Ohio State and they did it. Hopefully next year OSU won't have multiple staters recovering from the flu during the game.

      @@33moneyball you're confused. Georgia was never behind in that football game. As for that interception, it wasn't a gift, it was earned. Chris Smith baited D.J. Ugetsackedalot and made him pay. I guess the butt hurt is real, especially if you're jealous of Georgia's success.

      No B10 team has any business in the CFP. The B10 should move to the FCS until they start seriously recruiting and playing elite level football again. That means recruiting nationally and playing outside their cupcake conference.

      2006 Florida blew them out by 27
      2016 Clemson shut them out and scored 32
      2020 Alabama beat them by 28
      If they're the best the B10's got have fun in the lower division and STFU.

    I can’t wait to hear all the “Michigan doesn’t ever belong in another CFP” talk because of what UGA did to them. Michigan earned a playoff spot. Getting their asses drubbed doesn’t change that fact. The average point differential in the CFP era is 20+ points in the semifinal round.

    The talent in Lil league football is in the south is crazy. I literally watched Cam Newton,Eric Berry at 12 yrs old play Lil league. Their athletic coordination as kids was amazing. Crazy part is a lot of great athletes don't make it because they didn't grow enough. Just undersized.

    As a Georgia fan, I have to say that I have always liked Michigan and I was proud of them for the season they had. But I knew that Georgia would be too much for them in that game. No way was Georgia going to lose two games in a row for sure but also, Georgia is a much bigger and faster team in general. I wish Michigan nothing but the best next season. They are a very good program.

    My father and a few other family members and friends went to UGA so i decided to watch the game with my family as we cooked some steaks.... i must say it was nice to see a team from Georgia win, looking at you Falcons, but as a big Rich Eisen fan as my family celebrated the 4th or 5th touchdown i quietly toasted to Rich and felt sad for him as i know what Michigan means to him. Hopefully they continue their form next season.

    I try really hard not to be a conspiracy theorist. I watched 4 'bama games in '21 and 3 Georgia games. Small sample sizes, for sure. From my view, either GA had the worst game possible against the Tide or they laid down because I just didn't see that level of bad out of GA nor that level of good out of Alabama in the games I watched. I saw GA as at least one TD better than Alabama going into that game and I still do.

    Not hard to swallow at all. They put 7 to 8 in the box. And man handled them. our defense couldn't get to the QB. And ran over us. Recruiting matters when they get 19 -5 Stars to our 3-5Stars in a 4 year span.

    Big difference in talent and speed. Michigan still playing 80s style football. Defense doesn't win games anymore, Saban figured that out about 10 years ago.
