I'd spend quite a good bit of money to have the angel of darkness trilogy continued. As I'm sure a lot of people would. Even today, if it was continued, WITH THE TECHNOLOGY OF TODAY INCLUDED, and they took their time like they did with shadow, it would be one of the best selling ones. AOD's problem was time. They've stated this for years. The game could have done better with even just an extra year. They were too innovative and wanted it to be perfect, which I loved the idea of.
Unfortunately, AOD's fans are a minority in the different generations of Tomb Raider today, so even if this audience were faithful to this sequel, I fear that it would be not enough financially for the studio at the charge.
AOD's problem wasn't time. The game had been in development for more than 4 years when it was released. CD developed Legend in less than 3 years.
It is well known that Core was burned out from Tomb Raider by that time and that they had some issues as a team.
To me, AOD is different from all the other games. It gives me movie vibes. I'd love the whole trilogy.
I was shocked this video is so recent. I can't believe the TR community is still alive.

So happy that there weren't that much unused stuff in this game! It is my absolute favorite Lara Croft along with AOD, despite the fact that her trilogy never came to existence (which of course I wanted soo bad) I wouldn't change that with legend's reboot, come for me all you want, Legend is the best Lara Croft ❤️
yess finally someone who agrees with me :) Legend is the BEST Lara croft i dont know what it is but something is just so appealing to Legend Lara with her attitude, bantering with the boys ( really miss Zip) completed with her awesome Character model that is easily my favourite ^^ Such a shame well likely never see her again
@@ValerieSparrowW Yes 😍😍 Everything about Legend is just outstanding, from the graphics wich received finally cause of Crystal Dynamics a superior change compared to the previous TRs, to the characters, model, outfits, levels and story which was and will be forever my favorite Lara Croft story ( along with AOD, but being a little bit more special for me since I grew up with it ❤️). Well I still have my hopes up that will she will likely return considering underworld was almost an exact continuation of legend and with the new trilogy of Tomb Raider (with Lara supposedly being much more younger than the actual events and story of legend and underworld) ended I can see the possibilities. But I guess we just have to wait and see 😍
Legend was awesome!! One of my faves from the entire TR series!! ☺️☺️☺️ I have played it a million times over lol! I never get sick of it 😍
I loved Legend so much man and Legend basically breathed some new life into the series and is way more true to the spirit of Lara than the current games.

I really want to play the alpha version because the french braid, the deleted early level design's and many more. Which is why i prefer the alpha version rather than the beta or final.
My favorite tomb raider channel
Alpha and beta level designs plus first ever trailer...the game would have been so much better if they kept those levels and concepts in the game. The final product was rather dissapointing.
For a lot of people, Tomb Raider Legend had "the best cinematographic configuration of the saga". (writing, charcters, musics ect…) But it's true that at the end of the day, as a classic Tomb Raider formula, it was rather dissapointing.

I hate so much of the idea that everything has changed so much in the Tomb Raider franchise as I was so upset for that to happen!! 😡 it makes me so angry everytime when I see this happened!!

The Tomb Raider that got me into the series. Back on the ps1 era my friends liked the games but I just couldn't stand the controls, even back then there where very mediocre 3d games with better controls around. I still own 2, 3 and AoD tho. So I got a PSP and was looking for games and Legend was there at a low price, I had no idea it had a new team making this games or that it was a reboot. Anniversary and Underworld where out by this point, I was so out of touch with the franchise I had no idea the order of the games or how many there where by then. Well I have no idea why, maybe it was my groin area, but I ended picking it up and to my surprise "ow shit it's good", so good there I was on the internet looking what I've been missing and not much later I'm devouring the HD trilogy on my PS3. Damn I like this game so much. Oh and btw anniversary made me go back to the past check out the old games again hehe I think I like them more now, maybe one day I'll finish my collection. I got 2, 3 and AoD cheap, I'll check sometimes if I can get the others at a low price too.

This game introduced me to the Tomb Raider series when I was 15. I loved everything about it. Now I know why Crystal Dynamics did what they did to make the game perfect. It was also cool to see the beta and deleted parts as well.
I got through half the game on the original Xbox 360 before it died out. Haven't played since, but I'm going to reinstall it and have another go at it.
5:33 looks so beautiful, im tired of the same trees and water and jungles in all the new tomb raider games that square enix keeps redoing.
You clearly never played any tomb raider game, because one of their strongest points was always it's level designs and atmosphere.
