Really great architectural walkthroughs! I really appreciate the coverage of both the architectural details and it's resulting impact on the people in the space. There's a ton of realtor channels out there, but yours stands apart in conveying the work of the architect and the experience of those who might look forward to living in those designed spaces. Well done!
Just a side note that the clip at 3:33 features a car driving through the intersection in reverse. I get why the reverse motion edit was done for the camera motion to match the adjacent clips, but it was momentarily surprising to the me when watching.

The subject really fascinates me and I think that most people take for granted the effect that great design can have on us. Truly. A level of intentionality I wish more spec houses had. It was inspiring to tour and even more inspiring knowing that it sold before ever even hitting the market. It gives me hope that we can design better and the money will follow, as opposed to designing strictly to maximize profit

Thank you so much! I do not use AI! I’ve thought about it but it’s difficult considering AI can’t actuallg step inside the home and I’m not sure how it would be able to describe the properties themselves. I do plan to make videos showijg my process but those will probably only be available to members of my premium membership which will be released soon
Nice courtyard centric, double primary suites, tall windows & guesthouse.
Only thing, dislike the small corridor + raised platform for the dining room ....the small opening in between the sofas or the L turn from the steps might not be great for bringing food platters over

I work in residential construction. Thoughtful design is always desirable, but not always affordable. Spec homes, while “uninspiring” allows more people to afford a house. What’s better, getting more people into more houses, or fewer “inspiring” houses that only “the wealthy” can afford?
I appreciate the comment! While I don’t think that thoughtful design makes a house any less affordable (I believe it has more to do with consideration and intentionality than lavish materials), I was referring more to spec houses in the luxury arena. At least in Austin, I see a lot of spec homes more expensive than this one that were obviously designed with solely profit in mind
Very well asked question! I was asking myself that same thing in my head within the first 20 seconds of this video (and may not have been as succinct as you). I totally get the inverse thought too though, the cookie cutter style is obviously very uninspiring. The best bet is to find some kind of balance between the two.
This affordability question is half-baked. There is plenty of bad taste out there that cost way too much. Poor design can also be expensive. GCs and other contractors often cheap out and gouge. I can build an absolutely inspiring home that is 100x better than so much of the expensive garbage out there, for $500k.
Cool. So if you want to walk from the bedroom to the kitchen in your underwear at midnight you get to walk to walk a lighted glass catwalk that all your neighbors can see. Well thought out.

Truthfully, it depends on the location. I will say, this house is located in a highly desirable area of Austin and utilized high quality materials. It sold for several million.
If you were to pick up the property and drop it somewhere further outside of town you could probably get it for quite a bit less. It’s hard to give you an exact number since I cannot disclose price, but as a baseline, it would cost you at least a couple million.

@@LozanoLiving It's a nice house, don't get me wrong. I just don't think it's a masterpiece when it comes to design, although it seems like the build quality is higher than usual for the US.
