Amusing video, being British having moved to Toronto, I bought a home in Canada for a reason. I couldn't imagine returning home, the country has been decimated over the past 2 decades. The wages are so, so low. Why would I go back for 1/3rd the pay to do the same job, and as you pointed out, equal or more expensive rent? 10 years in Toronto is equal to 30 years work in England. Then unless you live in London or Manchester, you then go down the rabbit hole of, well the food, the events, the music and culture its all lacking in the UK or you have to travel so far. (then again same situation if you live anywhere outside of Vancouver or Toronto)
I do agree, the winter is my least favourite bit about Canada, not the cold, but specifically just how LONG they are. Reaching the end of april and seeing all my friends having BBQs in their flowery gardens, whilst here its gray and the leaves haven't started does make me feel kinda shitty haha. And the insurance costs here are absolutely insane for driving on extremely boring, low speed limited straight roads.

Thanks for sharing haha. It does seem so crazy to me how much it costs to live in the UK in comparison and yeah the winters here are not fun!

Of course living in Canada is better than UK, the fact Canada is a massive country with endless resources makes it better alone.

Don't know if I fully agree. Have you lived in both places?

Very interesting video. Hard to Imagine that Toronto has better weather than UK. But ya if the insulation is bad that makes it cold and damp inside constantly, I can see that being a big problem. I've heard the same thing about Uruguay. Great weather, but very poor insulation so it just makes inside living a misery. I guess in Canada its is must to have good insulation because of our harsh winters. One nice thing about Canada is the proximity to the US for Jobs and the Economy. Most of our economy relies on it, and I'm not sure if that's the same in the UK. If your not a drinker I can see how the UK might be a difficult place to make friends. Canadians are drinkers too mind you, but I think the brits even have us beat. My Bad points about living in Canada are: Vacation Time is low, airfare is expensive, car insurance, Wages are generally low and you're very lucky if you get a small yearly raise. Our Healthcare is in Major decline. There is also the recent problems with Drug addicts and Drug Dens/Safe injections sites and Homes-less people everywhere. I'm not sure if its as bad in the UK. My Wife is Turkish and I've spent a lot of time in Istanbul, and not once did I ever see any Junkies or Homeless people in Turkey.

    Living in Canada.
    Do not come here.
Everything has gotten so expensive, far beyond what anyone can afford.
    Cost of living, government.
    Country has gone to shit.
    It's also massively over immigrated.
    Leaving myself shortly.
UK at least has culture but would not live there either.
    Both shit move elsewhere.
