The difference between 1 & 2 is that Cheryl was adopted/ not blood-related, while James & Mary were a "perfect couple" who loved each other just before Mary got terminally sick. SH3 - Alessa, Cheryl & Heather/ Alessa, Claudia & Dhalia. As you said, Triple Goddess (Maiden, Mother & Crone) & Holy Trinity. SH4 - The Home. #4 is symbolically known for being the square, the element Earth & even in the Tarot's minor arcana the four of each suit is related to Stability & The Home. My goodness! Heather will always be one of my favorite video game characters, especially when I started with the series, I was 14 and could identify myself with her a lot, although she is a female. It never really bothered me that she's a girl, I just saw her as a young person who had to deal with the struggles of becoming an adult.
She was born from a soul her story is by far interesting to me and she is called a reincarnation more games with Heather need to come she's an amazing character who's an abomination since she's literally born from a soul technically she's not even supposed to exist just like various other video game characters and her story of being a witch is most interesting to me she is a brilliant character.
There is nothing wrong with this. As a woman, there were so very little awesome women roles out there. (I'm 37 now.) So I always identified with males, still do a lot: however now we are finally starting to have much better roles for women in games/TVs etc. (A lot of people are still against it though.) Just the same way I think Harry is perfect, he is a human being.
Silent Hill 3 is very memorable. I got the pc version physical but have to get it to work. Even though Heather was not related to Harry, the diary that Heather/Cheryl Mason reads in the game shows that even when Harry had his doubts and other things, he decided to love her and care for her unconditionally. The red liquid in her necklace was Harry just being protective of her as a father. Even her badassery and bravery is from Harry. Harry went so far as to kill a order cult member who wanted to kidnap his child.
Something I noticed about Heather‘s clothing is that yes, she dresses comfortably, but does not exactly shy away from feminine expression either. She wears a skirt above the knees and shows her arms, yet seems insecure as well. She wears chunky boots that hide her calves and ankles, a turtleneck that hides her neck, wrist bands that hide her wrists (and oddly, a watch over one of the wristbands which seems strange and impractical). Perhaps I’m just projecting, but those clothing choices in particular remind me a lot of myself at her age: Very insecure about certain parts of my body, yet how is yearning to express myself and show as much skin as I was comfortable with.
I feel the same way I'm a guy but I want to say this I feel like me and her have some thing in common ! When I was a teenager myself I was heavily into dark clothes and I still wear nothing but black still till this day ! I remember I will wear a black t shirt a black hoodie or a black leather jacket In the winter only when it's ready cold ! I will wear black jeans or Blue jeans and will wear black milltary style combat boots! I will always tuck my jeans in my boots! I felt comfortable dressing like that ! I will be sure that my outfit was always was in the best way it was and will always try looking my best! I do shy away from trends! Plus I'm heavily a fan of metal music! So you can I'm a metalhead! Heather s ways of fashion are pretty cool though! But difference between my fashion and heathers fashion is her way of clothing is pretty much something that she came up with her self! Like something that matches with her style or attitude! Mine on the other hand was something I came up with myself as well a lot of kids didn't dress like like I did! I didn't have many friends either but hey it's cool! One other thing that I used to do at one point used to dye my hair black! Heather dyed her hair blonde! Heather is a reincarnated Version of Cheryl and Alyssa their natural hair color is black ! And Heathers hair is naturally black too! But Heather dyes her hair so the cult called the order want notice her! My hair is naturally dark brown though! Any way that's just my point of view! I just feel like in real life me and her might have something in common! She is probably one of the most interesting characters!
All of us learn to hide our bodies from a young age: I learnt fast that I needed to dress as a guy, and gain weight to be unatractive, also have short hair etc. This ensures less creeps will give you attention.

I really enjoyed playing SH3 for how well we get to know Heather as a character. Her commentary while exploring it's so spot on for a teenage girl. And her personality really matches how smart, curious and daring she is. For example she isn't interested in the books of the store in the mall but the books on the church's library seem fascinating to her. Because they're unique like her.
I've never played the games but when watching our play throughs and going through the Silent Hill wiki over ten times, I've always related most to Heather. Lost a parent suddenly and during childhood. While I didn't have to go to a mysterious town and fight a physical version of myself, the inner turmoil she feels after she has to truly recognise her fathers death after ignoring it, is something that hit home. And just the fact that she's the only female Silent Hill protagonist (and in my opinion, the strongest and smartest) having to go through a rollercoaster of not just growing up, but growing up during the most painful time of ones life just makes her my ultimate favourite. Heather is just...so real to me? Anyway, thank you for an amazing video as usual!
Same here, even though I haven’t played these games. I wished I did earlier but it’s too late for that. Heather/Cheryl, theirs something about her that feels like I don’t wanna sound dramatic but something draws me to her. Wherever her character design, early 2000s vibe around her. Personality idk but something about her I like. It’s weird but I haven’t felt drawn to a character until now.

the part after Heather killed the Evil God boss and turn back to look behind her, and with the fact that you stated that there was supposed to be an audio or sound of an infant crying, which if i may add, could be an interesting thing to consider that there may be a chance that Heather also had began her adulthood as a mother early on after she had an 'abortion' . This concept would be considered a nice touch to me if the dev team didn't remove the sound of the crying infant . This could also solidify your statement of Heather having the same upcoming as how her father had before and this had inspired me to make a fan comic that depicts the events in Heather's life after the game event and maybe i can potray how she also adopt the child/infant that was born after the battle of the Evil God .

Heather and Alessa are opposites in pretty much every way, the only similar thing that I can think of is that Heather's hair is naturally black which she dyed blonde. But in terms of personality and life story both lives could not be more different.

Silent Hill 3 is a great way to close off Silent Hill 1. Was it a short game yes. And I think now its common knowledge that shes the baby Harry took with him by the end of the good ending but at the time I was 12 and it was a eureka moment when I found out shes the baby grown up again

I sort of see Heather's story similar to Electra, the daughter of King Agamemnon. In the story, Electra's mother, Clytemnestra, murders Agamemnon. So Electra conspires with her brother to get revenge on their mother and they end up killing her. So basically, Heather is Electra, getting revenge on Claudia (Clytemnestra) for killing Harry (Agamemnon). In Jungian psychology, there's also the "Electra complex" which is the female analogous to the Oedipus complex (a girl's competition with her mother for possession of her father). Heather is clearly very close with her father, not in an unhealthy way or anything, but I would say more than the average teenage girl. Her father's death was the final push from Heather being a girl to being a woman.

I think Heather's trans. It actually makes sense. For one she gives birth to god by vomiting it out, also the dick monster/boss in the mall can symbolise her overcoming her dysphoria. Also she hates looking into mirrors i.e that whole mirror room that can kill u in the hospital, which also alludes to dysphoria. Its a cool theory! We certainly need mor trans rep in video games. Btw sidenote: Having dysphoria is in no way needed to be trans, its just a societal insecurity that makes us think we're not "woman enough" cause of peach fuzz or similar bs.

Heather was probably my first experience playing a horror/narrative driven protagonist in my youth. She'll always have a special place in my heart.
