Thanks for the video, some excellent information there. However I would never use the steadies to Jack the caravan up, even if it is just 10mm or so. I have let some air out of one the tyres on a couple of occasions. As long as you remember to pump them up again, it shouldn't be a problem.
Great tip on Levelling the van mate I’m new to caravans and wasn’t sure if you could use the corner steady to Level the van so I’ve always used a ramp even for just the slightest amount across the axle. I will try your way next week when I’m away in it and hopefully I will have a shower that fully drains because up to now I haven’t 👍👍👍

Would definitely use a ramp on the offside, it’s to easy to put too much pressure on the chassis, lightweight chassis are not built to withstand any sort of pressure like this, overtime they will contort and buckle, I’ve seen floors there stabilisers have broken through the floor, they are only there to stabilise the van from moving back and forward as you walk around your van. I cringe when I see people lift jockeys off the round in campsites..... unless they are using a heavier chassis. 9 times out of ten though it’s an ALKO chassis. I like your tips, a lot of good insight but the levelling one 😬😬😬😬 people could easily get it wrong. Always use a ramp on the opposite side if the level babble is my rule.
It depends how much you need to level it, if its just slightly out then fine on single or twin, but if you need to level by a few inches then you really need levelling ramps, we level with the legs when its less than an inch as the levelling ramps won't really work for this.
Helpful video, thanks. I always thought the corner steadies could not be used to jack the caravan up and pressure on all 4 had to be even. So is it the case that as long as the wheels remain on the ground you can use the steadies to level the caravan floor without twisting the chassis?
As long as you don't go mad you can level up small amounts like this. If more out of level then ramps will be needed but we were about 10mm out so a small amount is fine.
You can use to put a little weight on the corner steadies to get level but not to jack it up and take the weight off the tyres for example. The air bag levellers are possibly the best if you need to raise one side a lot. Hope this helps.

Thanks, just make sure you don't put too much pressure on the legs and it is only for small adjustments 👍

If its a small amount it won't hurt, its just if any more than about an inch out of level that you will start to use levelling devices.

Been caravanning a few years now. Levelling it with the steadies is it only ok on twin axels?
It depends how much you need to level it, if its just slightly out then fine on single or twin, but if you need to level by a few inches then you really need levelling ramps, we level with the legs when its less than an inch as the levelling ramps won't really work for this.
