** Correction to the factory resetting tip (thank you Jadian Radiator):**
You CAN do it from within your headset!
1) Completely turn the headset off.
2) Turn it on while holding down either the volume up or the volume down button and release them once it brings up the boot menu.
3) Use the volume buttons to navigate to the factory reset option and press the power button to select it.

Actually you _can_ factory reset your Quest from the headset.
1) Completely turn the headset off.

You said the couch and desk option is silly, but I find it extremely useful. My play space is in front of my desk and in between my tv and bed. I set up my desk and put my couch onto the edge of the bed so when I am playing a game that I could easily get turned around in I can lean toward the guardian and see which way I am facing so I know I'm not going to punch the monitor or tv.

Bigscreen is my favorite thing about Quest2!!! It is amazing at how much it feels like being in a real theatre. I also stream 3D files from my phone via DLNA android app.🤯

one problem when using VR headsets, is that you look at the whole picture. I as our user have learned since before to look as I do in reality, that is, the gaze towards a point and towards the horizon. this is how you should also look when using our headset, to avoid dizziness. It is also good that you play a little easier games only when you get used to this way of looking natural in our headset and later a little tougher games. with kind regards, Jimmy

You can actually factory reset by turning off the headset, hold down - volume and power button at same time. This will launch the boot menu

Thanks for the info. I'm super-novice. i have a Gear360 2016 and a Q2. I can get 360 videos to the Q2, but they're distorted in 360 view...any ideas?
forgot to mention, the ability to send friends an invite link to select games on your oculus app is a real nice new feature as well. you send the invite link and all your friends have to do is turn on their headset and put it on and they'll end up in the exact same room that you are in within the game. that's what I was told anyway. haven't tried it yet.

Unfortunately there isn’t 😢 it’s very annoying but all the apps stay there, even uninstalled ones. Although if you click in the top right corner of the App Library you can choose to see only installed apps. Hope this helps!

5:09 what if you set up a headset with a primary account and a secondary account, but on another headset you set up the secondary account from the other headset to the primary and make the primary from the first headset the secondary. Will this enable sharing both ways?
I actually factory reset my headset tho without the phone
I had a game stuck on installing and I tried deleting the data on sidequest which didn't worked
So I just pushed volume down and power while off which opened the boot menu or something like that which had the option to factory reset

Hey! I agree it’s very annoying, but unfortunately there’s no way to remove them 🙄 I think we’re all looking forward to this feature in the coming updates…
You can also hold the volume down and power buttons until the blue logo appears to enter debug mode and factory reset from there.
There's more free games available via the browser. If you open it up to the default tab page some of the pages it recommends visiting are actually web games that can be loaded up into VR immersion mode like Flappy Bird VR.

I think you can Factory reset the headset from the headset itself, but that's kind of an advanced feature, since once you enter the system menu (I think on oculus startup you need to press the power button and the volume minus) you cannot use your controllers. The better way is from the paired app since you anyway have to pair the app why bother with the system menu, but still, just a small correction.
I had to recently have to do a factory reset since my right joycon was drifting and I had to send back my whole headset for repair.
Regarding the streaming, I just noticed today as I was setting up my replacement headset, that there's X-box streaming as well, you can stream your x-box to a big screen inside a VR room.

Pro tip: you CAN actually factory reset from the headset itself, just turn off the headset, then hold the power and volume down button on the same time, this should open a secret menu which you can control with the volume buttons that allows you to factory reset

You know basti found a hidden feature where you cab draw and area for pass through so you can like for instance see a keyboard, what ever happened to that? I guess it never officially released?

Factory reset IS available on headset!
As a side note, the one bummer about Oculus adding that specific Logitech keyboard as one of the (now) two keyboards that are supported is that the price of them shot up to at least double their original cost. That probably isn't a huge deal for most, but the Logitech K830 is my go-to HTPC all-in-one keyboard because it's one of the few wireless keyboards that features a trackpad and backlit keys. (Surprisingly, that combination is quite rare!) Although, one downside is that the K830 has a rather weak Micro-USB port on it, which I would imagine may not be great for VR if you accidentally drop the keyboard or something. I ruined one K830's USB port by accidentally stepping on the USB cable while it was plugged in. The force of the cable pulling down caused the solder holding the connector down to break.

What question so when you do a factory reset does it reset everything you have to be put in all the passwords and then you download your names again that's the question cuz my headsets been glitchy lately
Yeah, it’ll reset everything and brings it to the condition it was right out of the box. It does fix most of common glitches though

also in developer mode you my be able to connct to a printer and scanner using an android app. IE the T400 has an older ap not tied to google services, once loaded via the devloper mode using file manger plus, yo can back up the pritrr ap and load it on o your quest. .
you then can use the app to scan documents to yor quest.

Thr devloper mode can pack a punch. and if you are in t this knd of thing , abd you have a keyboard and mouse, you can use WPS (OLDER VERSION) to do word processing and other things, yo canbalo load a caculator app aswell. there is a lot this unit can do.

So my question is, if I put my account on my friends headset and he puts his on mine, would we be able to bounce back and forth and share games?
The only way to share apps on a different headset is if one and the same account is the primary account on both of the headsets, and app sharing is enabled on one of the headset, and you’re logged in with the secondary account in that headset. “Back and forth” wouldn’t work because secondary accounts cannot share apps with the primary account

Why does refresh rate have to be done via side quest and a bloody PC that many these days don’t have. Refresh rate should be allowed to be done through the headset. Unbelievable that idea.
Sidequest is beta not complete games i want to play complete finish games not incomplete if its beta and the game is finished and complete will the beta change on its own to the complete version or i have to install the complete version of the game can u please let me know
It all depends on a game! SideQuest even have full games that have graduated to the official Oculus store!
