I was having fuel problems on my Exmark Lazer 60" mower. It has a 27hp Kohler motor and the carburetor kept flooding out so I removed the carb and looked inside to inspect it and show you what I found.

2009, 60" model 74244 Commercial with the Kohler CH25S. 914 hours, only replaced the clutch and now the PTO (Delta 6201) switch. Still out cuts my 2020 Badboy 60" 747. If you ever get the chance, find one built before the eXmark/Toro split. (25000000 serials.) They are lifetime mowers
Yes, I have a couple 2005 lasers too. They still run great but new motors now
What year would that be?
Is that Knocker still running or have you thrown a rod by now? There has got to be a place you could have gotten a replacement needle valve, most are almost identical. The choke issue you still would have had to figure something out on but I would’ve hated to drop 300 for just a carb when you know an engine is on the horizon.🤷🏻
The carb fixed everything. The machine now has 4,400 hours on it. That “knock” never came back after the carb install, it wasn’t a push rod (thankfully). Just glad everything is holding together. I’m really pushing the limits of this engine now but at least it made through about season. 💪🏼
Jesse I am having a hard time finding the exact carb. Where did you buy the replacement carb?
There is a local dealer of these Exmark machines and they had the carburetor in stock. You can try to cross reference the part number then call around to your local equipment shops and ask them if they stock it.
I have no oil Pressure. hate to take it to the shop, but might have too. any ideas?
Got the same mower , fuses are melting or getting hot and mower dies, any thoughts.
check under the controls area. I've had grass clippings collect under there, get wet and had similar issues. I keep that area blown out daily now, all good.
Need to change your oil when gas comes out the exhaust
the oil was fresh at the time.
Same model , won't crank
