    Thinking about buying DJI's latest FPV drone headset, the DJI Goggles Integra? Hopefully I can help you make a more informed decision with this long term review.
    I purchased the Goggles Integra on launch day earlier this year and received them after just a few days. After over three months of frequent usage, I've gotten very familiar with these goggles. Here are my favorite and least favorite things about these fancy new FPV drone goggles from DJI.
    Whether you are upgrading from an older headset, such as the DJI V1 or V2 goggles, currently own a newer headset like the Goggles 2, or perhaps you 're just getting started with FPV and looking for a solid first pair of goggles.. my goal is to share my experience and advice to help you make a decision about how to spend your hard-earned money. Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy the video!

    • @rossmandrone
      @rossmandrone  Před 4 měsíci

      The integra's antennas are not designed to be removable/replaceable/upgradable. I'm sure there's a more advanced method of rigging up a custom modification if you know what you're doing, but you'll have to go with the Goggles 2 or something else if you want to work with goggles that have antennas that are actually replaceable by just twisting them out.

On the Internet, almost everyone compares only the antenna patch on v2 with the integra, but there is no information on how much better or worse the stock ones are than the integra. My only complaint was not having removable antenna. I took my stock antenna apart and rebuilt them with the top foldable parts from the fly fish G2 antenna. However since doing this mod and totally violating my warranty 😂 I now get a 15% boost In penetration and range I just flew around my farm and it stayed at 50mbps in a 1 mile circle around my property at literally tree top level here in northeast Texas on my rekon 7
    It now gives me better omnidirectional range better then my walk snails or Dji v2 goggles can give with directional antenna on my other copters mind you I’m using the matching fly fish linear antenna on the rekon 7 I plan on upgrading to the O3 on all my other ones and selling my walk snail system. Man, when talking about that FOV, it is not like a sitting in front of TV but more like sitting in the cinema and watching a 20m screen 😉 But I appreciate the lower FOV because what I'm focus on is the center where I'm flying and I cannot even see the edges clearly because I would need to move with my eyes to the side, which is not a good idea when flying😁 Bigger FOV doesn't make practical sense...

    • @rossmandrone

      Honestly I don't see those as significant future issues. The strap is adjustable so it can always be tightened. The battery is holding up just fine after about 6 months. I've never had a single complaint with its life duration or ability to hold charge so far. If it happens to crap out in the future I'll just connect an external power bank, but I'll probably be ready to buy a new pair of goggles by the time that even happens.

    • @rossmandrone
      @rossmandrone  Před 6 měsíci

      The goggles have no actually connection to any controller. They only connect to drones and/or fpv camera units. They will work with DJI Avata, DJI FPV, any DJI air unit or Caddx Vista. They will also work with the Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3 drones if you pair them with the DJI motion controller 2.

      These supposedly work with DJI air 3 but not rc2 with screen, which came with air 3. Very disappointed. DJI could software update to make compatible so I have not wasted money. And, DJI should at least let standard remote work it if rc2 will not. Not sure that I like motion control. But if any body know how to get them to work with RC2 please let us know. I can't even get it to connect to air 3, but if I could, I still could not fly since rc2 non compatible.

    I also love my Integra goggles, but DJI claiming that the battery lasts 2 hours is a bunch of bull. After one hour of flying, I'm down to 30% battery, which is when the battery should be plugged back in to recharge. I would gladly have a larger battery on the back of the goggles and take the hit in weight and comfort. Or at least have the option to buy a larger battery for the Integra goggles, for us hardcore flyers. I now carry a separate battery bank to recharge the Integra goggles through the USB-C port while I'm flying.

    The single-most annoying thing in this excellent review, is the completely unnecessary background music, which makes voice sometimes difficult to understand.
    For the love of god, turn off that background music.

    I am so disappointed that when wearing these goggles there is no way that I can send the picture to my spotter, which I would be able to if the screen of my RC Pro retained it’s screen picture at the same time as the goggles picture. 😂😂😂

    everyone complains about the nose piece ,, ,, get a dam flat Chinese nose HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH GAGAGAGAGAGAA make the west suffer ,, MY NOSE IIIEEERRR,,,,,There are some factors I may get the Integra over the goggles 2 .. I fly mostly analog racing drones ,, The V2 goggles FOV is to big for me i prefer my Skyzone LCOS displays at 39 degree view over the Oled screens ,, the LCOS latency is way better and smoother displays and the color is almost OLED close its more natural color ,, perfect for racing ,, the Integra with smaller Oled screens should be much less latency the smaller the FOV the smoother it will appear .. I love the smaller FOV for racing and flying fast freestyle a must .. the top racers use a 33 degree fov because you can get 90 fps analog thru the smaller screens , Remember the lager the FOV the more you will notice latency and the digital stutter

    the integrated Battery is the biggest issung of this thing.. Charging problems, frequent retarts when under 80% charged, not able to run on USB-C Power, problems all the time with this shit googles and extreme poore Build Quality!

    Too small, the fit is horrible. Tried them once, hated them. V2 all the way and you won’t be a better pilot because of these. OLED screens don’t make up for the downsides of these goggles. Try before you buy.

    • @rossmandrone
      @rossmandrone  Před rokem +2

      I'm thankful my noggin is small enough to not be much of an issue for these. Sucks how bad they are stock though. Far from perfect, but definitely worth considering under specific circumstances. As for the displays, I stand by my opinion that they help me see more clearly and greatly assist with close proximity navigation when compared to my V2s.
