Polish Trains in Wrocław - Pociągi we Wrocławiu - Bahnbetrieb in Breslau - Wrocław Główny

As the largest city in southwestern Poland, Wrocław arguably has the most beautiful large railway station in Poland, especially since an elegant renovation in 2011/2012.
The variety of different trains and traction at the main station Wrocław Główny is quite vibrant, with traditional loco-hauled formations from PKP Intercity and Polregio, as well as lots of old and new units from the local operator Koleje Dolnośląskie (KD).
The historic station, with its architectural style featuring a mixture of Neo-Tudor and Art Nouveau elements was built from 1899 to 1904, during the German era. Therefore also the elevated railway tracks leading on stone-arched viaducts into the station concourse from the west are modelled after the Stadtbahn in Berlin. This short film from mid August 2020 captures rail operations with arriving and departing trains both at the station and on the viaducts. 2020 marks the 75 year anniversary of Wrocław having been a part of Poland since the end of WWII in 1945.

Der prächtige Bahnhof gehört weiterhin zu den schönsten in Polen, auch dank der elegant renovierten, mehrschiffigen Bahnsteighalle mit hohen Bahnsteigen. Im Film werden Lokomotiven der PKP und Polregio gezeigt, wie auch verschiedene Altbauwagen und moderne Triebfahrzeuge des regionalen Betreibers KD.
