Indiana Jay has a nice ring to it, but I prefer Tampa Jay :) Kinda wish New Castle stayed Rose City, not going to lie. It was really cool seeing the greenhouse too, I really hope it remains a greenhouse... I wish we could buy it. I think* I knew about Maxwells because of that car museum I went to in PA, lol! I know it's so difficult being there, enjoying time with family but then having to leave so soon. I know they mean the world to you. New castle is the most homely town I’ve ever been to. Had my wedding there and overall spent 6 months there. Yet have strong feelings for it. You must have a deep connection to it. My friends visited in early 2000’s. We drove around and it reminded them of a 50’s town. Hope the town can grow again

A friend of mine, airline pilot always says, "Time to spare, go by air!" You lived that! I can tell you horror stories about Allegiant. But, good that it gave you extra time with your family, especially your grandmother. And good that @Cris the Girl didn't have to make the two hour round trip from TPA to SRA. Could also tell she REALLLLLY missed you, BTW. Good that you're home safe.
Tampa Jay great video and love the shout out to the grandparents as I was raised by my grandparents and have tons of great memories with them and they are not here anymore but when life gets stressful I reminisce of the days of being with them! Kudos on this video Cheers!
Missing your grandparents and family being so far away...I can easily relate. I lost my grandparents decades ago(on both sides), And I lost my parents in the last week in January. I did get to say goodbye, but it is never easy. You are a good man Jay. Keep it up

Our son and daughter in law got caught up in the Spirit cancellations too. They arrived back in FLL on Sunday from a cruise and were supposed to fly back home. No dice, currently in a one way rental car almost back home (two day trip).

Glad you got to visit your family. I was 19 flying from Kansas City Missouri,to Michigan. Had to switch planes at O'Hare in Chicago, it was a blizzard when we landed. Airport got shut down for almost 24 hours I was stranded alone lol. Enjoyed the video 👍

It was nice to actually turn on your video today and see that you were in my home county. My husband was born in New Castle and it was fun to see things from a different point of view. I have only been there 2 times, but hoping to move back into the area in the near future. Listening to my husband tell me he has been in every area you showed. He still has his father living out on 103 south. Really fun to watch

It's a drag when you're at the mercy of the airlines when they cancel or reroute your flight! I know somebody who not only had their flight cancelled AND they had to wait 5 hours for their luggage to get unloaded from the plane . $3.72 a gallon, eh? My last fill up was $5.42--that's why I love taking road trips outside of California, I usually save a bunch of money on gas! Do they still have Dilly Bars at that Dairy Queen? Those were always my favorite along with the chocolate dipped vanilla cones.

The adventures of Indiana Jay were great it was cool seeing these sentimental places! I saw on the local news about all those flights being canceled that was a mess! This was a great town to grow up in and your mom even worked at the DQ in highchool that's classic Americana! So nice you got to spend time with your grandmother and family! ☺

Glad you made it home safely. It happened to me years ago with a change in plans and since it was pre cell phones, not a fun experience. Had to call my grandparents thinking my parents, who were on the way to airport, would check with them when my plane didn't arrive...thankfully they did and got the message. Those old plane phones were horrible and I had to scream since grandparents were hard of hearing.. the whole plane heard me...the good old days. :)

I lost my last Grandparent who I always called Pops or Popsi because he was more like a Dad after my birth father took off while I was 2 months old leaving my Mother a 22 year old college Student & Waitress in 1976 homeless when of course her parents took us in. Pops died on 10-31-21 but I was able to be his care taker his last few months & we had the best time. He never slowed down even at 95 he just didn't wake up one morning. We forget harts so not have an unlimited # of tics you can rewind them a few times with operations & defiberlaters & pacemakers but eventually the springs & quartz wear out & that's it. I lost my Mother on 4-09-21 after an 18 month Cancer battle that she suffered a lot from. Now we are caretakers for my Moms wife with Brain Cancer & aunt who's bedridden from mutiple strokes. Both are close to death. Then I decided I will take in My Birth Father who never took me in except the summer I was his drug mule. I told your Mentor Dr. A. WHOO FL-WDW-PHD the entire story in an 8000 word comment but I think he hates me. Anyways I live by the motto "Be Better Not Bitter" So I forgive Dr. WHOO & My Father who's in the final stages of congestive heart failure. I also let Mr. Whoo know on his recent Ernest House Memorial Video about a Screen Play I wrote & plan to star-direct & produce in which An Old Vagabond who travels America has to stay in Orlando to Protect WDW from Evil GOV DeSatan while also deciding if he will retire & following President Dr, Phillip McGraws announcement that the Worlds out of Petro & perhaps it's time to turn his life mission of bringing Americana to people stuck in Covid Labyrinths to his young protege Jay from Ybor. The Old Vagabond must also decide if he can trust The Crazy Comment guy Pluto Rock Satellite but can he. I live in Hancock county and I am very familiar with Henry county and New Castle. I feel your pain we got our flight canceled from Las Vegas to Indy on Sunday with Southwest. Finally made it home yesterday.

Flying from TPA to Indy over Easter to go see family. Born an raised in Columbus IN, but moved from Greenwood, IN .
Hopefully they’ll be no issues. We had some bad storms this past Saturday a lot of hail damage in some areas. Glad you made it home!
I used to visit relatives in Fort Wayne, Indiana about two hours north of Millville. We would make the 10 hour drive from Philadelphia every Christmas, so I can say I am a hoosier at heart. Glad you had a chance to catch up with family TJ. Look forward to your next adventure.

Glad you made it home after a strange flight. That's great that you got to spend an extra day with your family. There's a Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken about a half hour away from me, I usually stop there if I'm going to the lake or in the area. That's really cool your hometown has the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame! My high school mascot was the Trojans too.

So glad you got home safe! It’s so important to spend time with family. My dad hasn’t been well, is doing better but time is limited. He is 84. Luckily they are just across the bay (SF) from me. Those gas prices in Indy are almost half of what we pay here. But I understand for that area it’s high! By the way my dad was born in Indianapolis, they left for California in 1948 when he was 10. The Boles family goes way back in that area. I believe they were previously from Spencer county.

I saw that Southwest and Spirit Airlines cancelled a lot of flights for Sunday and figured you were caught in the middle of that. They said it started out due to really bad weather in Florida then some computer glitches. I hope you do get a refund. What a crazy flight home! So glad you got home safely.

I had to check out another one of your videos, just because it seems so ironic I happened by these videos of yours. Makes me miss my family. It's been a while since I have been back there, and I think it's time for a trip back to New Castle. As a matter of fact, if your family has been there forever and a day, my Dad probably knows your family. He knows just about everyone... no kidding. It is sad that it has become such a ghost town since I grew up there. It started going downhill when the Chrysler factory shut down.

I live in Greenfield now, but was raised in Indy back in the 60s, so I'm a little older than you. I have never been to the basketball hall of fame - always wanted to go, but haven't made it yet. Never thought I would be envious of $3.70 gas prices lol. Living in NYC I would gladly pay that amount now. Also can't believe that you have white castle still. They are all closing over here in NYC except for in the really seedy neighborhoods for some reason unfortunately. Maybe they still realize how great white castle is over there. I really miss my local white castle. Edit: you get what you pay for with Spirit. Great fares but it reflects in the service. I avoid them at all costs, unless in emergencies.

So weird for me you talking about Newcastle as I live next to the original Newcastle City in the North East of England. Except our Newcastle has been around since 122AD when the Romans settled there and created an outpost.

My grandfather and great grandparents are from New Castle and I keep meaning to take a trip there. Still have some distant cousins in area. My great grandparents house was on Brown road.

@@TampaJay Their house on Brown was torn down long ago. Old farm house. I’ve only been to New Castle a few times (last visit in the early 90’s 😳). I need to go and visit their graves and look around…I love genealogy too and My mom has so many memories of summers in New Castle visiting them.
Pizza King is the best and also my favorite (and favorite of anyone I know who grew up eating it). The Royal Feast and some breadsticks that you can stick on the end of your finger and pretend like your E.T-🤤😁

FD: one of my Foster parents out of Brantford Ontario, had a daughter Linda Cunningham, and she went to I U full ride i think it was mid 80s, ( i never met her and stayed at their home around 1987-88). she married the manager of the girls' basketball team (manager was a guy back then) /
the Yr i stayed with the Cunninghams, was the same championship yr alford and Bobby K beat the Orange of NY State (syracuse) //

i used to work at the Pearson airport in Toronto, while as a kid I collected the baggage carts that people rented. I would ask them if i could take their cart back to the machine for them and would they like me to unload their baggage off the cart into their waiting vehicle.
