- Follow our journey of a British Filipino couple flying to our dream destination of Japan for the first time. When we heard Japan is opening we were so excited & booked right away! We arrived in Tokyo a few days ago but decided to immerse ourselves deep In to the Japanese culture & stayed in a traditional Japanese inn called a Ryokan which even came with a Japanese Onsen bath. Here we slept on the floor on futons and had a Kaiseki Ryori (multi-course Japanese meal) as well as our Onsen Bath experience.
We loved our stay and even enjoyed a 9 course Japanese meal where we tried lots of Japanese food for the first time such as soba noodles & sashimi. Our first impression of a Ryokan in Japan surprised us, we felt really connected with the Japanese culture and loved the authentic experience. Would you stay in a Japanese Ryokan?

The complete Japan experience
Japan is a dream đ€đŻđ”đžâšâ©ïž~~ everyone should experience traditional Japanese culture when they visit, through Ryokans, they are a life changing heavenly and spiritual experience ~~ love your videos đđ
If you think of Japan first, cleanliness, hygiene, respect and the hospitality. Most Asian people they greet you with a smile. They used to wear face covering even before the pandemic to protect one another incase someone is not well in public, very considerate people.Lastly , they are so advanced when it comes to technology and so much more...

Hehehe weâve been backlogged ahahaha, yes we were shocked when they said 9 courses đź was amazing đ€©
Happy Birthday Dood and thanks for the Ryokan experience.
Thank you đ
Nice videoâ€. The train to and from Tokyo is the Romance Car. I have done trips up to Hakone but never stayed in the Airu. We normally look for ryokans with a family bath which you can book for an hour and avoid the public onsens.
The omakase looks awesome
hat a nice place .enjoy guys
Thank you đ
Happy super belated birthday!!
I'm so glad you guys enjoyed the time in this hotel!
ïŒthis is one of my favorite ryokans!ïŒ
Thank you we really did love it đ have you stayed here before too?
@@ZoeCzar Yeah, I've been many times!
For Japanese, this is so popular ryokan as well!
What's it called?
@@ZoeCzar What is it called?
Beautiful Tokyo

You guys look amazing in Yukata
Hehehe thank you đ
You made a good decision. You need to pay some to get true onsen experience. But the problem is that once you experience premium onsen service, you can't go back.
Hahah I can see why people canât go back đ very nice indeed! Grateful for the experience we loved it đđŒ
fancy experience indeed.
It was such a treat đđđŒ
Daaang this ryokan is nice.
Thank you it was đđđŒ
Hi.. Have a good day đ

Awesome video guys!! We are so excited to experience something like this on our upcoming trip to Japan--thanks for sharing your experience. What was the name of this Ryokan?
Thank you đ amazing youâll have an amazing time Japan is great đ€© itâs called Hakone airu đ

Thank you so much đ
We are heading to Japan next year! What is this place called? Love it!
This is called Hakone airu đ enjoy Japan youâll love it đđŒ
So here is a question. How do you get all this time off? I have a great job and it pays well. However other then weekends good luck getting time off. So how are you both able to not work? Thanks
We saved up really hard for 2.5 years to take a long gap to travel đ
How far is the hotel from open air museum? :)
From a quick google I think 30 mins
how many days did you stay? how many days do you recommend?
We did just 1 night but 2 would be perfect đ
Very nice video. You did an excellent job describing the Onsen and the experience, as well as the meal. It was nice to see a private onsen. In the comments below, you mentioned that the price was 300 pounds, but I thought that Onsens charge PER person. So did it cost 600 pounds for the two of you or 300 pounds? Appreciate your help since this is my first trip to Japan and I'm trying to make sure I have the details. Thanks, Ron
Thank you đ yes it was 300 pounds for both of us đđŒ hope you have the best trip đ€©
Thanks for your quick reply. Cheers, Ron
Hi! What was the name of this place and where was it located in Japan?
This was in Hakone and was called Hakone airu
Hello! What is the name of the ryokan and how much per night was it?
Hakone airu and itâs pretty pricey I think we paid 300 pounds for 1 night with breakfast and 9 course dinner, you can definitely find cheaper ryokans if you donât want a private onsen too đ
@@ZoeCzar Thank you. I paid about the same some years ago for a crappy one without traditional tatami matting or meals so not so pricey in my books. Cheers Sonia
wait...what is this place called? link? the description says nothing about it.
Edit: Hakone Airu
Yes we tried to add it but the link wasnât working & it went to a blank page so we took it out, but yes itâs called Hakone airu
@@ZoeCzar thanks, I've been bothering my boyfriend about going to Japan and I definitely want to go here. Thanks for the detailed review!
