    Thanks for posting this. Its essentially the same screens and timers that Techstream uses. I see when you were scrolling thru screens this even has BSM Master and Slave communications. I do quite a bit with those due to recalls and damaged vehicles from body shops. This MS906BT seems like a powerful tool.

      Toyota Ron thank you. I do a lot of work on blind side systems , distance sensing cruise controls and park assist system. It will do everything techstream will . I have them both . I fell in love with the autel the day I got it. I was using oem systems and the lauch stuff before but it had a lot of quirks And seemed to freeze during diag quite often. For the price and what it can do the autel is unbeatable.

I've reached out to autel tech center,and support training academy on how they can help me purchase the tool. I watched a review video by Curtis Hardin, he cautioned against buying the tool from amazon or e bay, sighting support issues should one have trouble with their tool. let me know what you think on that. Thanks. Lee

Now i'm getting requests and good responses so i'm going to raise the bar on my videos and share as much info as I can with you guys. And yes the autel has pretty much all the settings the oem software will have for most manufacturers and most keys. I do have a token based system and honestly in rarely need to use it. Mostly for all keys lost on certain vehicles. I don't really post those videos because the average shop or person won't be buying a $6000 programmer. I like to show what you can do with your everyday scanner that most shops and serious mechanics have access to.

      Jack Meyers thanks for the reply, I’ve been trying to buy a decent verus / verus pro for the past few weeks here in the UK but a few people keep mentioning the autel models. I was always put off with the horror stories about the ones from China (I realise they probably all come from there) but more trying to register for warranty and future software updates etc
      I’ve watched a few of your vids and I’m impressed with what this can do!
      The plan was to sell my vantage pro scope and upgrade to a verus so I have a combined scanner/scope in one.
      But I’m thinking about going down the autel route and a 2nd hand Pico?

    • @jackmeyers2911

      GRUSS Newton my opinion . I would never but the snap on. I've been down that road. These scanners are my whole company .I make all my money programming and doing diagnostics . I assure you the stories about autel are all bogus. 5 years now with autel only for me. New one every year ( tax write off and I hate paying for a subscription renewal) and zero issues. I have no reason to lie. I made no money on these videos I make. I get 3 or 4 calls a week from shops with high dollar snap on and matco scanners needing something done that my autel will do. When they ask me how much I paid for it you can just see the disappointment on their faces. That's the honest truth.

      Which model do you recommend? There’s literally loads on eBay UK all claiming to be UK dealers etc. I hear what your saying with the subscription, I checked and it’s approx £500-700 and that’s going through aeswave which as you know is American.
      Are they any good with other European models such as Renault, Fiat, Peugeot etc
      I get loads of garages asking to programme keys etc but I’ve never had the kit
      I can source one from an official dealer via autelUK but obviously the unit would be a lot more expensive than the ‘grey import’ eBay one

    • @jackmeyers2911
      @jackmeyers2911  Před 6 lety

      Stefan not necessarily. Depends on your state . You really just need a business license. Here In California you need to be licensed by your city , registered through the b.a.r. and carry liability insurance. I don't believe it is mandatory to be licensed through the nastf but it does help to be when it comes to aquiring pin and cut codes through the vehicle manufacturers.

      Thank you for clarification. I have been looking for a scan tool and still am undecided. Can Autel pull SRS codes and do srs module coding on a 2011 Mazda CX-9?

    • @jackmeyers2911
      @jackmeyers2911  Před 6 lety

      Stefan the autel can get into any module on any car to pull codes, clear codes , and live data. It can program most mazda modules as well. I've been doing this a long time and it's the best all around tool anywhere close to its price range I guarantee that. I've tried them all. All the way back to the mt2500 and otc genesys.

    • @stefanBEAR98
      @stefanBEAR98 Před 6 lety

      Jack, I believe so too. I am asking because I am seeing fragmentation of information in scan tool manufacturers. For example, some functions are left out in Foxwell 510 scanner. Throttle relearn being missing. On the other hand, Autel is not confirming on their page if it can read SRS codes on a 2011 Mazda CX-9. Perhaps this is the very reason why some mechanics, here on youtube, end up having 4+ scanners in their toolbox. All in all I agree Autel is the better one out there.

      Stefan all I can do it's tell you why I know. I know 100 percent without a doubt it will read the cx9 . I just confirmed it in the function viewer on my tool. I can semd you a picture of my scanner. I bought the 906bt and had the mini and 708 prior . But on my bt it keeps a record of every car I've ever done. To date I have scanned 1367 vehicles with the 906bt since last July and have found zero vehicles that have modules I can't connect with. Put it this way I make my money scanning, programming and diagnosing cars every day and only use the autel. Honestly I've been there and the reason mechanics have multiple tools in their box is because every manufacturer promisses but doesn't the best scan tool so you end up buying another and another. That is why I started the autel videos. I finally found the answer I was looking for. It does a large majority of keys, can read any module in every car and codes european . What more could I ask for. I was using a launch system then got convinced to buy a maxximus 2.0 from a tool truck for $3600 with all the upgrades and that's the one I regretted most. There is a guy on youtube that rebuild transmissions like I did when I had my shop and I watched all his videos. He has about 500k subscribers and when he would reset adaptives or run tests he always used the autel. He actually bragged a little about it on a video so I looked into it. I saw it was 1/4 price of the maxximus i had just bought so I said screw it and ordered one. Within a month I sold the maxximus and my launch and never looked back nor have I needed to. I was so impressed with the mini I started making videos because I just wanted to let other techs know that you don't have to pay 4 or 5 thousand dollars to do what we need to do. The special functions are amazing. The graphing is the fastest ive ever used. It links with identifix, all data , Mitchell and others. It's tough as hell. I drop it probably once a week. I know I sound like an autel salesman . I just think I stumbled on the perfect scanner and hopefully help someone from making the mistakes I made thinking the name made the tool great.

    Hi. There
    I had a maxisys pro. Did alot of key programming.
    Wanted to know of all the maxisys basic model that run from 500 to 1000 dollars have the same key programing features capabilities??
    Thanks in advance

      No.. your best bet is the 906bt , 906ts or the 905mini. All 3 of those will do what the pro does. The regular 906 will not. I think the 906bt is around $1200 .the 906ts is around $1400 and i think you can still get the ms905 mini for around $1050. Just be careful because the plain 906 without the vci will not do very many keys. It will do gm passlock and i think ford pats 1 but not much more.

      there is a spot for all keys lost, to program, but you will need a PIN code from the dealer to be able to write all keys.

    I don't think the tool is facilitating the programming process so saying it can program keys wouldn't be 100% accurate. From what I saw, the tool just guides you through the procedure. Have you tried performing the exact same process described in the instructions with the scan tool disconnected from the car? If so, what was the result?

    what the heck is the good of this video? a $1300 machine to program keys and remote? who's going to buy the machine?

      If you owned a Pontiac Torrent, you would happily buy any tool that would keep the POS running. If it wasn't financed, it would be in the scrap yard...but this tool keeps it going after repeated electronic failures weekly. Just saying.....

    Hi jack I’ve got a 07’ dodge nitro and don’t have a key that works. Dodge dealership will not give me the pin
    Code at all. Will this autel pull the pin code from the immobilizer?

    • @jackmeyers2911
      @jackmeyers2911  Před 4 lety

      No it will not. Chrysler requires a special tool for retrieving the pin and its expensive . I'm pretty sure if you are the registered owner they have to give you the pin number.
