- I made this set of pocket knives side by side. I used the first as a guide for the second. The second is made off camera, but is basically the same knife. The blade, liner and springs are made of o1 tool steel. The black one has bolsters from o1, and the scales are black ebony. I am really happy with these two! I hope you enjoy!

Hi guys! Which one do you think looks best?
They both look great!!! The fit and finish you put on your knives is awesome 👍👍👍
Can I buy one
Thanks man!
Hi! I do not sell knives. Not yet anyways! Can I ask how much you think is a fair price?
for those things all the effort I’d say 150-200$
Blessed hands, with those hands you will never go hungry .
Both look great! The black ebony though 🔥
Real nice work.
All the men in my family have always carried a pocket knife. Those are two beautiful knives. Loved the video.
Thanks!
Ah yes, the Faxe advanced quenching container. You're a man of culture as well.
Haha! thanks!
I love watching your videos. It's like my therapy lol. I have a passion for slip joint knives. I make a few myself. Thanks for showing us true craftsmanship!
Thank you! I do my best to make the video interesting. I clicked on your profile to check if you posted some of your knives, but found none. Let me know if u post some!

Accompany gorgeous, I would happily rock either of those bad boys. I think I prefer the wood to the ebony but they’re both fantastic
Thanks!
Very polished end result, both literally and figuratively.
Thank you!!
Absolutely loved that. Very inspiring! Thanks
Man I gotta have one of these with the ebony handles or the ironwood either one. Ironwood is amazing timeless look. So awesome. Bravo my friend. Well crafted.

Thank you!
Very nice 👍
Thanks!
Bloody amazing, I like the dark timber one, good work 👍
Thanks you! Its ebony!
So much labor and hand fitting. You really have a mastery with it all. Especially with the file work! Very impressive. You could easily sell these for $250-400 once you dial in your steel and heat treat. Keep refining, and they are worth much more. Love your style!
Thank you very much! I have started to use Elmax now! Will do! Again, thanks!
BOTH ARE BEAUTIFUL! But I would rock with the stainless! That design with a wharncliffe blade would be perfection!!
Man, I wish that you had a shop! I’d LOVE one of these fine works of art to carry in my pocket on the daily! Handmade quality with old world quality and class! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hi! Thank you so much for you nice comment! I am looking into making a webpage for selling knives these days, so sometimes in the future it will be up and running, hehe!

Very good video. Trying to build my first folding knife now. Thanks
Thank you! Cool! good luck with you build!
Beautiful craftsmanship
Thank you!
I like the brown
Thanks for your feedback!
Beautiful 🥰
Thanks!
Great folding knives you’ve made, they both look very classy. I’ve made a few folders over the years myself, mostly lock back folders. Have a try at making a lock back, it’s a bit more of a challenge getting all the pieces fitting and working together. Regards from Down Under.
Thank you! nice! Some of the first knives I made was lock back folders. I made two. Its hard to get a good spring function, I find! Right now I am really into liner locks and slip joints, but I will try my hands on lock backs again for sure!
Really nice looking with a satisfying snap! What I especially appreciate is the space you leave between the edge and the backspring when folded! Too many folders let the edge get too close to the backspring, resulting in the edge hitting it and getting damaged when folded unless you hold the blade all the way until it's completely folded - something you don't want to have to bother about if in a hurry or if you need to fold it with one hand.
Thanks! Yes i try to get as close as possible with out damaging the blade when snapping it close. The kicker, spring tension and distance to backspring takes a long time to adjust, hehe.
VERY NICE!!!!!
Thank you!
looks good
Thanks!
thank you
I like the silver one best but both are beautiful.
Thanks Dominic! I am glad you like them!
Good job. Cool knife 🔪👍
Thanks!
Phenomenal craftsmanship!!!
Thank you!
@@Inmyshed you're welcome, I'd be proud to have either and make sure it went to my son and his son.... heirloom quality like I said phenomenal craftsmanship. Keep the videos coming!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words, you inspire me to keep it up!
I wish I had a knife like this.
Thanks!
Veldig fine, godt jobba 👍
Tusen takk! 😀
Bon travail.
Remercier!
What brand files do you use? They seem like they cut really well.
Hi. Check out link in description! :)
Wow
Гарно! Я б купив ніж з чорною ручкою.
Дякую! Радий, що вам сподобалося!
I like the black, nice with on both thigh 👍 i might have to try some steel liners, they look great. The price of brass keeps going up I’m going to have to look for different material fit bolsters too
That's a shame....brass is always such a nice finishing touch I find.
New subscriber here!!!
Thank you!
Beautiful knives! You deserve wayyy more views, keep up the good work👍
Thank you! Will do!
@@Inmyshed also, what file are you using for the jimping?
I bought it at brownells.com. Its a checkering file.
@@Inmyshed thanks!
Np!
Прекрасная ручная работа мастера 👍
Благодарить!
@@Inmyshed In Russian we use the word "Спасибо!" ("spasíbo": "a" as "u" in "up", "i" as "e" in "beach" and "o" is just "o" not "ou" 😊).
It's the most universal word of thanks.
Hi! Thanks! I use google translate. I wrote «tusen takk», wich is a polite way of thanking in Norwegian. Roughly translated it would be «a thousand thank you’s»
@@Inmyshed so beautiful 😊 thanks!
you are the really awesome Master!
👍
Excellent workmanship .. can i ask where i can buy one of those files that makes the groves on the top side of the blade or at least what its called
Hi! Thanks! yes, just check out the link I have for it in description :)
beautiful knives. Too bad you don't sell them.
Hi! Thank you! If everything goes as I intend, I will be selling knives before the year ends!
That’s what I say a about old tools abused and used
С брозой красивее.👍
Спасибо за ответ. Да, в будущем бронзы будет больше!
Hey Mate, amazing stuff. Great video. Personal preff is for the bronze one.
What are the scores in the back of the blade for?
Thank you! Most ppl seem to like that one better. I do agree Iron desert wood is amazing stuff! Its traction for the thumb.
Thank You for your videos. What type of file do you use for the patern on top of the blade
Hi! its called a checkering file/jimping file. Check out description for a link to it!
what kind of vice is that, in the beginning?
What brand/types are those files used they were incredible
Hi! check out the description of the video!
Bonita navaja
¡Gracias!
Jeez man should start making them yourself atleast everyone could trust your work and quality.
Better than case right there. Case gotta make so many a year now and so many differnt patterns they gotta send out junk half of the time
Thanks man! I just finished a new folding knife. I have to edit the video but it should be out this weekend!
Art! Amazing! Do you sell them?
Thank you! I will be starting to sell knives soon. You like this type of pocket knife?
Hi! Very nice and detailed knife!
Can you tell me what kind of spray do you use at 2:45 for the sanding? And before the heating at 2:35?
Thank you!
Hi! Thank you! At 2:35 I quench the blade in seed oil. At 2:45 Before sanding I spray windex on the blade. It makes the sanding paper last longer, keep the dust from swerving around and it does not make the blade rust easy, like water does.
What steel did you use for the liners and thickness? Awesome piece!
Hi! Its o1 tool steel. The liners have a thickness of 1.2 mm. Thank you!
Its amazing, do you have the template for i try do one?
Hi! Thank you! I sketch out my ide on a paper that I cut out with scissors, then use as template. I have no PDF or anything, sorry man!
Muy bonito trabajo,dónde la puedo. Comprar
¡Hola! ¡Gracias! Todavía no vendo cuchillos. ¿Puedo preguntar cuánto crees que vale un cuchillo como este?
Отличный
Благодарить!
Nice work! Just curious why one rivet ended up looking bigger when finished?
Thank you! You and me both. hehe
Do you sell a printable template to make all the pieces to build one of these?
Hi. I do not have a template. I will try to make one on future knives.
