Although supplementing with beta-carotene is generally safe, we recommend consulting your doctor before considering any supplementation. Beta-carotene has been shown to potentially impact lung or thyroid function, so it's important to seek professional advice beforehand.

Just a heads up, beta carotene supplements shouldn't be taken if you're a smoker or exposed to asbestos!
"The Beta-Carotene and Retinol Efficacy Trial (CARET) revealed that smokers who took dietary supplements containing beta-carotene, at an average dose of 20 to 30 mg per day, had a significantly higher risk of developing lung cancer. "
But this doesn't happen with naturally obtained beta carotene from foods, in fact the opposite is true.

For anyone wondering, 100g of carrot is apparently 8.285 mg of beta-carotene. So 12-18 mg of beta-carotene per day would be around 145-215 grams of carrot a day

Hundred of thousands of years of high sun exposure for humans, I guess by your definition they weren't healthy unlike you who follow a modern trend created by companies to make money.

It may look different if your skin has a cool undertone (pinkish instead of yellowish). No patchiness at all, but my face is slightly darker than my body due to sun exposure. Tbh, it looks healthier/fresher than neutral white skin and I got asked if I bleach my teeth (which I don't but they look very white against my warm bright skin). Just try it. Your channel should focus on the "objective" aesthetics and not the subjective one. When I look at the two pictures of the woman I don't see how making her tan suddenly make her more beautiful. It has been proven that our appreciation (or not) for tan is dependent on trends and cultural reasons (for example what a given society associate with pale or tan skin, etc). One proof being that 2 century ago, people preferred pale skin.
My point being it is a fact that this is subjective so no neurons in our brain is wired to be more attracted to tan people. So let's not confuse the viewer and stay focused on the science based facts that are more likely to make a difference.
Also, it would be in your advantage because your channel want to be a little more inclusive and it is obvious than for someone of East Asia for example, the woman shown looks better with a fair skin. So we need to include all views.
You could argue that this is more about our western standards but a little bit of update to finish my rant : the western standards regarding skin tone has been shifting for a few years now. People don't strive to be tan that much nowadays (see the popularity of sunscreen). Celebrities are dropping the super tan look (see Arianna Grande). A lot of people (like me) believe you look best with your natural skin tone and of course it's better it doesn't have irregularities (which by the way is the only science based fact here, because human are naturally attracted to a smooth skin)
So as for your advice reguarding how to treat pigmentation you could also go the other way : wear sunscreen to prevent the pigmentation spots, use some creams to treat the existing one. That also even the skin out
