I'm a beginning reloader and I have used the CZcams forum a lot to help myself learn how to reload. this is by far the best video that I have watched, I actually reloaded my first bullets using this video as my complete guide throughout the entire process. My first batch of bullets came out almost perfectly and shot amazing well. Fantastic job of explaining the entire process in great detail that I could understand and follow.

I have reloaded for 40yrs...It's one of the most satisfying hobby's I have! I've owned three 7mm Mags and agree its a great round. We are both on the same page and my techniques are same...bullet seating, crimp, polish and inspection also! I load bullets for a select few friends, and all brag on how great the loads perform. I don't recommend this to people, but if you take the time to do it right, your time and precision will be evidenced! TY for this video!!

Hey there JJ; like Jesse down there in your comments, I too was an engineering student at one time, now I'm getting ready to retire after near 40 years service in the field. I think you have a very consistent, quantifiable manor in which you load each cartridge and that adds to the consistency and the size of your groups and I'm sure you've taken those cartridges out to a range and proven it time and again. I very much like your explanation and offering of alternative methods to the same conclusion throughout your process; everything you're doing, you're doing well, kudos to you Sir, many kudos to you!
This is a wonderful tutorial for anyone just getting started in reloading, you and I both know JJ that it can wander off in any of a thousand different directions from this point, the hobby of reloading is that awesome in it's variability. For folks just starting out; I recommend this man as definite guide in your quest to hit the mark. Listen up!

Excellent video for those learning the first time. I have a Ruger Model 77- 7MM Remington Magnum, that I purchased in early 80’s and has been a great rifle and round. I reload and this caliber like you mention can take almost anything in N. American. This is a very ‘flat’ shooting round which I really do like. I have been using Hornady 154 gr. SP at 2800 fps with IMR-4831 powder, which has been excellent for Deer, but if I like to go Elk hunting (never did) I could go up to 185 gr., for the larger animal, however you do have a good selection of various weight bullets.
I liked how you are very good at not having a lot of repeating and how you went slow/normal talking on your delivery, so viewers can absorb your lesson. Reloading is always about safety and don’t rush anything. If something doesn’t seem right, ‘STOP”, re-check thing’s then continue with your session.
The initial cost of reloading can be tough, but I view it as a life long hobby. Any reloading press will generally last a life time for the investment. As the years go by newer products come out to make some process’s easier or you just like something new. I still use my RCBS Rockchucker from the mid-70’s rifle reloading. Moving to a Dillon 550B, to reload pistol at a faster pace, but it can do rifle as well, but I don’t shoot as many rifle rounds and the RCBS single stage works fine for those small numbers.
    Best to you!

I've been liking your older videos because I like the way you deliver the "lesson" and information. I didn't know you stopped making videos as I didn't see the dates. But glad you're back making them again. You are one of the better teachers on reloading. Your voice is easy to listen to (and I mean that in the straightest way possible) as you make concepts simple to understand... as if you were talking to a small classroom of grade-schoolers. I started reloading this past winter to prevent cabin fever and got a few worked up for the .270 Win. But this past Wednesday I went and took advantage of the Fathers Day sale at Sportsman's Warehouse and bought the new Tikka T3x Superlite in 7mm Rem Mag!! So I'll be danged... good timing on this video! From your previous videos, I have learned to search for dirty range brass and clean it and to enjoy prepping those cases. Also learning about the Dillon swager, which I'm now needing to purchase and use since that .223 Rem brass is NATO and sealed in the primer pockets. So thank you for continuing your channel.. I look forward to more future knowledge passed down.

I have an old RCBS Reloader Special 2 Reloading Press, vintage 1981, so it is older than your press which is old but not as old as mine. I have reloaded my Ruger M77 7mm Mag Rifle for 39 years with the same press and my accuracy is great (well, I know the cartridge is extremely accurate, but I am a lot older so probably a bit less accurate physically). I thought your video was extremely informative and you gave me a couple of ideas to try. A bit long but well worth the time. You were thorough and informative. I would say that one of the most important things when reloading is "attention to detail" and to be systematic/organized. You never want to rush through this process but you can be a bit quicker when you have done this several times. You can NEVER to too much checking and rechecking of your work to make sure you have not made a mistake or there is an issue with the casing. You only need to mess up one time and that can be devastating. So, Great Job on this video.

I also keep a book for all my reloads. That has that information and powder lot numbers, primer lot numbers and actual velocity are spread for that load.

Great video, I like the step by step unedited. I have a Rem 700 in 7mm Rem Mag that i would like to start reloading. I just saw your 25lb range lead melt video in the suggestions and I remembered watching that 8 years ago. Awesome.

Great video! Very detailed and nice to see you taking the time to explain different ways with different instruments.....we don’t all have the same tools due to money, availability etc so really worked 👌🏼

One more thing I would have mentioned is when you zeroed out the brass is each shell should be zeroed because each individual shell will probably weigh differently. I’ve always enjoyed your videos. I’ve been reloading for over 30 and would very much recommend your channel to everyone.

I'm currently loading a 140 grn accubond in my 7 mag, so far I'm getting my best accuracy and velocity with the Hogdon Hybrid, H100V. I also use this same powder in my .300 win mag with extremely good results.

Thanks for the video! I reload 9mm and have that down to a science, but haven't touched rifle rounds, yet. This helped me a lot and set the ball rolling for me. Just ordered a Bergera B-14 Ridge in 7mm RemMag, so I'm excited to try and find the perfect reload for that gun. Awesome detail and took the nerves out of me trying rifle rounds.

Lovers of the Big 7, great tutorial you are the only Handloader that I’ve seen that takes the to check the length of his brass after it’s been trimmed.

I appreciate that you have all the mechanical tools for reloading, meaning you don't have to depend on electricity. However, if you have electricity, why deal with the headache of hand trimming and so forth? Frankford Arsenal makes a good case prep trimming tool to trim, deburring tool. Fast and accurate and if one is doing a lot of brass a lot less of a headache. Everyone has their own process and I did want to suggest that. I do appreciate taking the time to show specifics on die set ups. Those sections alone are helpful for those of us who get tied up with life and have to relearn those steps because we forgot a minor point or two.
