Sam, I'm getting back into reloading after about a decade off (what can I say, shooting 5.56 and 9mm through semi-autos doesn't motivate the average shooter to reload). Your videos and blog have been like gold. Your level of experience and time spent on the craft of both long range shooting and reloading is really clear. While it's true that everyone has their own way of doing things.. when you load and shoot as much as you and your son do, it's safe for someone like me to assume that if a given process or product meets your standard, it's something worth paying attention to. So, thank you for taking the time to share your experiences and processes. It's made getting back into precision reloading a much less intimidating prospect, and made me want to share this passion with others. Thanks again.

I did a lot of reading, watching and listening to other reloaders; (Gunblue490, johnny’s reloading bench, ultimate reloader & others) before i ever loaded a round. I watched how they did things, what they had on their bench and how their reloading bench was set up. I’ve learned a great deal from all of you. I’d love to have Gunblue490’s space and set-up, not to mention his experience, and a place to shoot right out my door like johnny’s. But it was your workflow system, reasoning and organization whether for a few test rounds or for match ammo, or to hunt or compete that fit best for me. Your 5 step prld videos were my tutors. Thank you for sharing and taking the time and effort to pass along what you’ve learned. I believe that’s how it should be. P.S., i thought you were in Texas as i am (Atascosa County) until i saw the WA State license plate on the truck and recognized those ever windy conditions of the Colombia River Basin?

Sam I appreciate the video link you sent to me. Catching up with you and Jake was very enjoyable. As soon as you started talking about your process on making ammo it all came back to me. What I liked is that you practice the "KISS" principal with marking the cases for identification. When you said Jake is 15 I realized how long it has been since I last saw you two on your youtube channel. Time really passes by to quickly. When I saw the last Precision Rifle match on your youtube channel I did not know I was watching Jake in the competition. He is an excellent shooter. I used to watch your videos with great anticipation for the next one. Now I can follow both of you again. That new press you have is excellent. It make the whole process more enjoyable when your equipment is reliable. If you ever have some free time I would be interested to know the specs on Jake's rifle; i.e., stock, action , barrel and muzzle brake. Thanks again for a geat video. And, good shooting.

Nice informative videos. I make dummy rounds with uncharged, unprimed cases with a bullet seated at proper depth. When I set up for seating a lot of bullets I use the dummy round to set the seating die. I check a few for OAL and run the lot. Granted its wasting cases and bullets. But it saves time which for me is more valuable.

I haven't been reloading since the 80's and ended up having to sell everything. Give you three guesses why!! Getting back into it and this is by far the best channel out there. You explain everything in detail and give a precise reason why you do every step. I have a question about my rifle. It's an H&R Handi rifle break open action in 223. Do all the brass prep and calc. procedures apply the same? Thanks Sam for all the content. You're the BEST!!
