Very comprehensive check of all modes and ranges - many thanks! Looks like a good budget DMM
Just ordered one, now in stock, approximately £ 45. Plenty accurate for a handheld, still keeping my 5 1/2 bench one.
Thanks for the review.
I have a question?
Why don't they ever use an
18650 lithium ion battery in a multimeter?
I've never seen any multimeter with one in it! They're packed full of power. They are rechargeable & You would probably only have to charge it 1 or 2 times a year.
Also, why do you need to take the thing apart, with cheap self-tapping screws wearing out the plastic, just change the battery? Every other device has some kind of little flap you pull open, but multimeters almost never do. Weird.
what happens if you put n ohms and connect the tips to a 220v ac mains plug ?
Thanks for an interesting video, I was surprised you went to 1 KVdc and no smoke ! I would have liked to have seen the switch contact arrangement in the knob - how many fingers and their shape.
Question:
Does this multimeter measure high frequency ac voltage measuring ?
Looks like there is a LDR above the screen. Guess that is used to turn on the "automatic backlight".
Hmm that looks pretty good to me, and you can calibrate it by messing with the variables in that 8 pin serial memory chip, i2c i think.
They can use less accurate resistors and trim the error out, im sure you have already looked into trimming it via variables.
Dc volts i expect to be accurate, and ohms if possible.
All other modes are rough, they always are.
Hello, nice video, this multimeter is amazing but you should correct the title of your video, cause the misread of "holdpeek" instead "holdpeak" it's not usable when searching with key words.
Alexander Hartdegen - nice spotting ! It has only been up for 5 months with that error! Thanks I will fix that!
Thank you very much for the great videos you're making. It helps us a lot. Would you mind to tell me where you get the plastic wrapping around your 2 test leads of your EEV Blog meter ? I've been looking for that for a long time, but, I don't even know how they name this plastic wrapping. Continue sending us those great videos.
Maurice Petit - it’s called spiral wrap, I’ve had that bit for years, but here’s a link to buy some: defs.link/?u=e9e154
Thank you very much for your quick response.
How is the HoldPeel HP-770D vs OWON B41T+?
Which do you like more?
I like the BlueTooth features on Owon.
angelisone - I haven’t tried the Owon, so I cannot day which is better, sometimes it really comes down to personal preference too, what features you need on each etc.
The Defpom's Repair Channel, my Fluke 87A & Fluke 789 don't have Bluetooth features.
I believe today newer meters can do more than those two above.
Results should be close enough.
From your video the HoldPeek HP-770D has that nice 40k counts for less than $100.00.
what's about holdpeak 6205 clamp meter? is it good ?
I really don't know, I don't own one.
Nice meter but would be nice to see leading zero supression
Tell Banggood too send one to Joe Smith so we can see how far it can go,,,,
Dr Nicktu - probably wouldn’t survive that long, considering the tests he does !
@@TheDefpom No I sure it wouldn't but I would be entertaining,, I mean us nerds would like it anyway!! Love you channel by the way!!
Grill starter one hit haha .
Pretty sick how cheap a lot of features can be nowadays. There are some in aliexpress for US $56.35 free shipping.
I just ordered me one for 34€ / 40$US.
EF = Electric Field ?
Kenneth Nilsson - Of course! Thanks.
The speed of the continuity beep was quite disappointing.
it's the leads
Chinese cat III is different than the rest of the world's cat III.
It is not a bad bench meter for the money. You get what you pay for when it comes to safety! This meter is leaning towards the bonus functions and 40000 count. Accuracy is good enough for the price. I would keep it below 60 volts or step back and take my chances with anything over that!
Those cheap 9v battery holders are bad when brand new :) They need to be broken in.
some AAA would be much better.
Yeah, nice fake CAT III rating there :( Hopefully nobody uses this junker on anything resembling actual CAT III. Are those fuses actually HRC fuses or only regular ceramic ones?
Jan Ciger - they look like ceramic.
Какой-то адский акцент что нихрена не понятно что говорит, даже гугл переводчик не может правильно распознать слова :)
Ничего страшного, мой русский тоже не очень хорош.
Ну незнаю. I like it!
they now come with cheap glass fuses, cheapo's!
