I lived on Greenham Common as an American airman for 3 years from "80-'83. Many wonderful memories and a few not so. When I last visited it in '02 it had been turned into the Greenham Business Park with many of the old buildings now being stores, offices and such.

this make me sad. I was stationed there in the in the late sixties. great times in newbury for a usa airman

I worked in the Communication Detachment at the end of the 60’s, left in ‘71. I was a UK secretary.but also was a waitress in the NCO club. Great place, great job, great people.
