My first year on CZcams I accumulated so much decor & now I’m trying to declutter items as my style is changing & bringing in more everyday pieces that I can work in seasonal decor around it. I leave my "normal" decor up year-round in my home except for in the living/dining room areas.
Even though it is a bit of a chore for this 74+ yr. old Nana, I use that space to completely decorate for Halloween, Thanksgiving/Fall, Christmas/Winter, Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. But, by mid-March, I am so wanting to see my traditional decor!! Sometimes I wish I had a "Holiday" room...how fun that would be!

Soo true Joann! I can totally relate! We are sitting together on the struggle bus 😁 I am only focusing on pieces that I truly love and have meaning. I pulled everything for years and switched out practically every piece of decor and I’m just not doing it anymore because I want my special pieces out all the time and I can add in touches of holiday when it’s time. I think your hutch looks great how you painted it and your new little cabinet is so cute. A plate wall would be so pretty and I love the idea of a cutting board wall, very unique. Love the barn print with the Coca Cola writing and the little boy and dog print is precious. I’d definitely leave the barn out all year long 😁aww I’ve seen the little girl print before soo sweet.The little girl angel picture is just beautiful! I wonder how old it is? Aww I’m very sorry for your loss sweet friend. Lucky find on the flower frogs. I’ve been looking but they are soo expensive in my area. You’ve been so busy the cabinet and wall with the artwork looks great. Love the butter churn too. I have some masonry brushes that were my dads and I love them. Great video dear friend! Hugs❤❤❤

You are so right! Our homes will never be totally finished when it comes to decor! If you're A collector of anything as far as that goes, you'll continue to collect and add. I think with those of us that collect primitives, antiques and vintage things.. it will forever change. We love to thrift, and of course, go antiquing. We love to collect, add to, rearrange.. all the things! And for me, that's just a pleasure, makes me happy😊 And whether i have holes, or lots of pieces, which i do because i am & always will be a maximilist, it is ok! And its ok if we have an extra decor stash! The cabinet turned out great, looks really nice! I've found several of the large paint brushes for my antique tool box, but I'd love to find some like those you have also, no luck! I've found A couple of the wisk brooms for my peg rails, but they can be expensive! As soon as we get a new place i want to start collecting all the colors of transfer ware & do a plate wall, plates & saucers.. and i want to do a cutting board wall also.. depends on space 🤷♀️ I love the plates you bought! I want to collect a different pretty plates to use for eating out of. Lol I want it all!!😄 The art with the kids & their dogs are precious.. oh but the little angel is super sweet! And I love the tapestry, so unusual! Love the God winks😊 Google Lens them for sure! Most of those have names and you'll find more about it, as you already know. I have the 'boy and his bunny' piece. I have quite a few art pieces with the children! I love them❤ I love layering mirrors with empty frames against them too. I've searched for the metal flower frogs for awhile, no luck🫤 I'll find one eventually! Love what you did with all your pictures! Ohhh i love your laundry room decor!! I want to collect old baby shoes! I have a pair that's been bronzed, but i want to collect the originals. Art & Maggie was too funny😄 I really enjoyed..TFS!!

Good morning sweet friend 😊 honey our homes are always a work in progress that’s the fun of it & yes it can become a struggle but in the end it’s about what brings us joy ❤ the art work is precious ❤ you done a great job on the cabinet & of course it’ll change 😂 I’m a primitive gal to the core I just love they used what they had & the beauty in the story i do mix vintage in though it does blend cause each pc is perfectly imperfect just like us ❤ I found a chippy white hossier cabinet my ❤ pitter paddler God willing it’ll be mine this wk I’ve grown out of my other primitive cabinet that holds my mammies I just love them but of course it houses more 😂 anyway sweet friend everything looks amazing can’t wait to see everything all dressed up for summer I really need to do a home tour I’ve got 1 video on u tube didn’t think anyone seen it but sandy from the craft channel loved but it’s all changed since & that was last yr 😂

I have found that the older I get I am so drawn to vintage. I was doing country decor, which I still like, but I am mixing it up trying to go more towards the cottage look. I love your decor. The picture of the boy and the dog is so pretty. I’m just starting my collection of vintage. I have a long way to go.

I think you're leaning a little bit toward primatives. I have the same struggle. I even took some really pricey, worth money, Primitives to the auction and got nothing for it. It was like $50. It was antique pewter coffee pot creamer and platter. And they were really old and McCoy Pottery. And went right back straight to Primitives because I tried doing like modern Farmhouse and hated it. So I really feel your struggle. So now I'm just sticking with Primitives. And yes the black dining room furniture is the thing mine is too. I love watching you because I feel your struggle and I see how your brain thinks and it's so cool!

I hear ya! I’m nearing 60 and I usually put up (5) 7ft trees at Christmas and villages and all the other decor! This year 2 trees selling and donating all other stuff. I’ll never be a minimalist but reducing the amount of work and still enjoy the seasons.
I think we are going to enjoy the holidays just as much on a smaller scale as we did with our “go big or go home” decor!!♥️
