Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I am honored to have the opportunity to speak to you today about our study program of Economics, Finance, and Banking at the University of Brawijaya.
our vision is to become an international standard educational institution in the field of economics, finance, monetary, and banking. We strive to provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset they need to succeed in a rapidly changing and globalized world.
One of our key strengths is our international exposure. We offer a range of international programs, including double degree programs with the University of Wollongong, Southern Queensland, and Newcastle. These programs allow our students to gain a global perspective and valuable experience studying in different academic and cultural environments.
In addition, we join exchange programs through IISMA (it is funded by ministry of education) with QS100 universities, and partnerships with universities such as USM, Hague, Lincoln, UTM, NCU Taiwan, and USQ.
We also offer international summer courses at Pukyong University, Huazhong University, and Hague University. Lastly, our interntional short courses with Antwerp Belgium, with course on sustainability.
We believe that this international exposure is crucial in preparing our students to be future-ready and globally competitive. Our graduates are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to excel in their chosen fields and make meaningful contributions to society and the world.
in the constantly evolving banking industry. With the advent of new technologies and artificial intelligence, we update our curriculum regularly to ensure that our students are equipped with the latest tools and techniques to succeed in this field.
We also offer several programs under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka initiative, initiated by ministry of education. This six-month program provides our students with valuable industry experience, working with tech companies, central banks, and the banking and finance industry.
At our study program, we value collaboration with the industry and have developed partnerships with stakeholders, Central Bank, financial service authority, Indonesian deposit insurance, Bank Jatim, Bank Panin Dubai Syariah, Bank Muamalat and with Gojek “tech-company, the largest tech company in south east asia”.
We work closely with these organizations to develop our curriculum and provide our students with practical experience through internships and industry projects.
Our state-of-the-art facilities, such as the banking lab, big data lab, podcast lab, and our statistical bureau, Bank Indonesia, ministry of finance, and Pegadaian CSR initiatives, provide our students with the resources they need to excel.
In our labs, we subscribe to Refinitiv databases to help our students complete their studies in a timely manner. We believe that these facilities, combined with our academic and industry partnerships, offer our students a unique and valuable experience that prepares them for a successful career in the banking industry.
We want our graduates to be ready for the changing world of banking and finance. We work hard to give them the best education we can, and we are always looking for ways to improve.
