Daylight Saving Time to end Nov. 6 as we fall back

- There have been rumors circulating among the public and on social media that we won't fall back in November because a bill was passed that ended clock changes. While a bill was passed, we're here to tell you that at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, we will still turn our clocks back an hour. On Monday, we posted a graphic showing how many days until the clocks go back. Several people commented saying they thought that we didn't do that anymore. The rumor comes after the U.S. Senate passed a bill in March 2022 called the Sunshine Protection Act of 2021. The bill would abolish clock changes and keep Daylight Saving Time permanently. While the U.S. Senate did pass that bill, it has not been taken up in the House. So, the U.S. House would have to pass the bill and it would have to be signed by President Joe Biden before it would become official. Even if that were to happen in the next couple of weeks, it would not become law until next year, Nov. 5, 2023. So, we'd still move our clocks forward in March 2023 and then wouldn't change them again.
I wish Trump would say he loves putting the clocks back cause then we'd never have to do it again.

It does stop in March. That would be the last time you'd change the clocks. The following November 2023 you would NOT set the clocks back.

On 31 December
Sunrise will be at 9:01am instead of 8:01am
Sunset will be 6:09pm instead of 5:09pm
You would have later sunrise and sunset all year round
If standard time was permanent
You would have earlier sunrise and sunset all year round if you kept standard time
Sunrise in June 30 will be 4:58am instead of 5:58am
Sunset will be 8:12pm instead of 9:12pm
Daylight savings time is not the way to go. Daylight standard time however, is!

Well in the USA they are making Daylight Saving Time Permanent in November 2023 onwards if House of Representatives approves it and president signs it as well
Then there will be No clock changes on November 2023 as result sunrise and sunset will be 1 hour later according to the clock
Greenwich mean time offset will change as well

Uk still change it clocks
In summer
So it will be 8 hours earlier than London
LA- 5:45pm Tuesday
London- 12:45am changes to 1:45am Wednesday causing 8 hours time difference

Changing the clocks does not create more daylight but it does change the time of sunrise and sunset

I like the hour forward, so it gets dark later in the day. I hate when it gets dark at 5pm like they have it now.

Good idea, just make the clocks run backwards. Makes as much sense as asking a Supreme Court judge, "what is the difference between a man and a woman."
Was better when we went back a week before Halloween, and sprung forward late March. Year round was a failure in the 70's why would we do it again.
They said it was going to become permanent after we spring forward, in 2023, not 2022.
It will never become permanent. They've said they were going to make it permanent for years, bu we're still changing our clocks. And even if it does become permanent, it will be a mistake.

I don't know about the evenings, but 4:58 is too early for sunrise, imo.
I say stick to changing our clocks, even if it's a hassle. It's the only way to get the right amount of daylight in the mornings all year round. The only part of the world that shouldn't have to worry about that is everywhere closest to the equator.
I like standard time better who’s gonna be out late anyways outdoors from November-February unless you live in the South but with standard time the sun will rise at 4 and set at 7 in the summer
Standard time is absolutely trash here in Wyoming. Sunset is at 4:30pm and sunrise is at 7:30am in December. People that work or go to school see zero sunlight while they are at home so all chores must be done in the dark. It is very depressing. If we keep daylight savings time at least people will have about an hour of sun when they get off work or school.

this may seem like a glitch in time or Mandela, didn't the clock go back from 1am to midnight 2006 October in the UK (instead of the now 2pm to 1am, and cant find no evidence that existed now online and i got rid of my tv guide magazine from the following year), as i'm sure i can remember watching the news on sky box tv and it went from 0059 back to 0000 i thought it was well cool, back to midnight, now in time according to the web from 1981 it always been 2am back a hour and before 1981 3am a hour back during October months, so why am i remembering a 1am back? did it exist as i have a great memory or did i go to a real Parallel universes state
Yes, you are correct. The reason they did it because it doesn't effect the night to morning workers as much. My shift ends at 1 am and the morning shift starts at 330 am. OT plays a big role in those hour changes

I would recommend standard time all year round as the sunrise and sunset time would be an hour earlier
