    Future vid idea, javlin boats???? Lot around still, just what's your thoughts? I've owned 3 loved them so far!

However my first boat was a Mercruiser 3.0 which was followed by an Evinrude 115, Volvo Penta 5.0, Mercury 115, Mercury 200 Pro Verado, and now a Honda BF250. The Honda is slightly louder than the Verado, but it feels more alive and of course more reliable and better engineered.

    Evinrude is a couple of years away from their electronic outboard motor. Will they do a total retool, will they just slap their name from another company, or be in partnership with one and they do the manufacturing for Evinrude of one of Evinrude’s own design. • @59BigWalt
      @59BigWalt Před 2 lety

      I was viewing the Fully Charge channel and the host Mike was complaining about Americans need for our “gas guzzling pickups and our poorly efficient gas powered bass boats. There are electric alternatives.” The problem with his scenario is that all I wish to do on a stop is for fuel, to eat, and to check the rigging. Not an hour on a charge every 200 miles. I googled Evinrude’s parent company Bombardier would buyout or partnership with a EU or Asian company in making a competition grade electronic outboard motor. Someone like EClass Outboards, eMarine Systems, or de stille boot in the EU. Possibly sPropulsion in China, or a multi-joint venture with Honda, Suzuki, alongside Evinrude in developing a e-motor that meets but not exceeds 250mph limit of our tournament boats.

Every shop has their own opinion. My opinion they are at par. Etecs have the best fueling system, Mercury has better oiling. If this tells you anything I had a industrial marine construction company doing work for us. They had 2 boats with Yamaha and 2 with etecs. I asked them which motor has been better. He said the Yamaha are quiet but we're a fortune to maintain. The etecs never gave them issue and they even had a guy accidently put diesel in it instead of gas. He said he would take the etecs all day for durability. So honestly who knows what is best and what isn't.
