2:20 Look at the siding on the barn. Those boards must be 30 feet long and at least 15 inches wide! Wow! Love the video. I can smell the dirt from here. :)
Wow!!! I want soil like that. Here in Northeast Pennsylvania our ground is 30% rock. I couldn’t tell you how many tons of rocks I picked as a child just to pick them all again year after year. I didn’t see a single rock in that whole garden.
Lol I was telling someone the other day that the benefits of growing smaller corn patches and gardens is I get to cherry-pick the spots. I’ve had my share of rocks , pipe clay soil and clods.
Beautiful property where are you located.? I have a 200 with the 2 point fast hitch. Wish I could find a few more implements for it, you've got some nice ones
@@Jtwes cool I've never been to the United states but I would love to take a drive down to Tennessee and places like NC , West Virginia etc . We just got a little dusting of snow here in Nova Scotia today
The first one is heavy and has a very aggressive cut angle really tears up the soil. The other kinda smooths out more and it’s lighter, puts a finishing touch on it.
The problem with a fast hitch is it doesn’t have as much adjustment as a 3 point with a center link that you can adjust out to push the rear of the harrow down. The fast hitch only has the center bar that hooks to the bail that will help with that. You could take the center bar off and gain some rear drop to level it out but then you don’t get the height you need to keep the harrow from dragging the ground when you turn around.
@@Jtwes Need a couple of pieces of flat steel bolted to the rear mount on the disc. Ours has several holes to adjust the rear of the disc up or down as needed.
Nothing like having a strong back and a willing heart and a good determination to do the task .proud of you
Thank JR
I appreciate the comments and for watching the channel.

My Dad had a 130 that I used to disc with all the time. Good little tractor.

Nice small tractor, gets the job done
Fairly light tractor pulls that disc with ease! From South Africa.
What kind of crops do you raise there?
Went thru it w rear tine tiller before video. Also adj your rod to allow disc to float. It will do a lot better.
dam i miss the sound of a 140
Great tractor!! Wouldn't a double pass with the first disc do the same thing? Or does the second work better in the clay for powdering the dirt?
Your right it probably would. It’s just a lot heavier than the second one. Plus the second one is more of a finishing harrow.
Awsome tractor
Thank you
I see, that is a disc that has been converted to a quick hitch.
Rocky soil. Looks like clay also
Very nice

The colters don't appear worn. That's hard to find in an implement of that age
I've got a Super C with several fasthitch implements that I'm gonna try and use this year
Is the reasoning for the two types of disc? What kind of disc is the second one you use ?
The first one is heavy and has a very aggressive cut angle really tears up the soil. The other kinda smooths out more and it’s lighter, puts a finishing touch on it.
that a heavy disc good lift capacity
It is makes the front of the 140 tip toe a little
Just a little note, you should level your disc it will work better. Your back gang is not working as good as it could on your first pass
u get deeper cultivation to rip out the roots and other varmits
Ok that makes sense too.
Hey can u do another video on how to adjust the bar on the left that works the back cultivaters
Hey Thomas I’ll will say something about it on one off my next video. Hope to plant some more silver Queen this week.
@@Jtwes thank u i have a 1980 model yellow and white cub that i farm with and im trying to figure out how to adjust the cultivaters
Ready for the seed drill!
Looks good! What's your plan for that little field? Garden?
Planted some silver Queen corn the other day. I know it’s a bit early but I’m hop
ing it will be ok

Nice setup for the application but yes disc needed leveling on the first pass
