  • What is Trulicity and how does it work? In this video, Dr. Ergin will provide an updated April 2020 review of Trulicity, including the potential benefits and side effects and an explanation of how Trulicity can lower your blood sugar and A1C. How does Trulicity work? Will you notice a change in your A1C with Trulicity? How do you know if you received my required dose? Will taking Trulicity can cause you to lose weight? All these questions, and more, will be answered in this video by Dr. Ahmet Ergin, the Founder, and CEO of sugarmds.com.

Since these meds become less effective over time I'm also using insulin and EMPAGLIFLOZIN. Ive probably been on GLP-1 longer than anyone and fortunately have had no pancreatitis. @@rihamuddin4320 Of course, it's difficult to quantify but I would definitely say it has been helpful in my. As I said ,as a longtime diabetic I've been on quite a cocktail to over twenty years. Insulin, glp-1 drug, networking. About year ago, my daily glucose was stagnant at 200-230. So ampigliflozin was added since it was a drug that is quite different from the others that I have been taking. It is easy to estimate that it has lowered the daily figure by 60 to 70 additional points. My last A1C was 7.0 which I was quite pleased with. Normally I could have lowered it even more to 6.0 if I was doing my normal cardio exercises but my bad back has severely restricted me. The only possible side effect is the urinary tract infection, but I haven't experienced that. Even if I did, any number of antibiotics could cure it easily. I'm a firm believer in the importance of exercise in lowering glucose levels. Indispensable.

Also I had edema during the end of my Covid recovery was it because I stopped TRULICITY
The doctors feel it was because I started a new blood pressure medicine at night 2.5 mg of amiodipine best late
It was added to medication I was already taking which was Labetolol
    & cozar
They gave the 2.5 mg to me only at night to hopefully lower my blood pressure in the morning which is averaging around 177/88
My blood work all came back with good levels, however my A1c which I had gotten from an 11.2 down to a 6.5 was now 7.1

You can only try them to see what works for you. You may be choosing a certain medication based on reviews, but you should consider what would work best for you, and see if you can tolerate it, like do you have trouble remembering to take medication daily? Trulicity is once a week, Do you get scared with needles, trulicity needle is larger but i dont feel that, i only feel the sting of the medication going in. Once a week is bearable for that.Do you hate larger needles? well then maybe Victoza or the other medication you were talking about would be better for you.

I'm an oddball when it comes to my diabetes and I've held very horrible dietary habits due to college, but honestly i don't eat as much anymore.
I eat twice a day now, which is more than I can say when I used to be in college.
One guaranteed thing i noticed with taking insulin, i don't eat as much sweets as I used to pre-diabetes. Here's to hoping Trulicity will help my sugars.
I take a high dosage of insulin per night and while my sugars and a1c have progressed, we're not where we're supposed to be (me and my care team)

Medicare wants me to use Trulicity. My dr prefers Ozempic. Out of curiosity, I called the insurance company to see how much they were and Ozempic was $550, Trulicity was $1050! I was shocked that they were insisting that I use the more expensive, less effective drug. I have to โ€œtryโ€ Trulicity before theyโ€™ll approve Ozempic. I picked it up but Iโ€™m not going to use it, weโ€™re merely playing the insurance game. I still wanted to check out the needle size. Without reading the directions, I thought the smaller end was a pen cap and flat grey end like the plunger on any syringe. I turned the โ€œcapโ€ to the green position and pulled, nothing. So I pushed the green button and heard a loud click and the grey end popped out, but was still attached, making it look even more like a primed plunger! I still couldnโ€™t remove what I thought was the cap. I figured that I better read the directions. Step one: remove the flat grey cap. ๐Ÿค” I held it up, looking at it โ€œhow could this be a cap?โ€ I pulled it off and suddenly all the medication shot up in my face ๐Ÿ’ฆ ๐Ÿ˜‚ I moved it away and it kept coming out until it was done, there was no stopping it until it was finished! It was only seconds but it made a little mess. I thought โ€œWell, there went $260 of meds!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚
After the blunder, I looked at the needle and thought it looked rather long compared to the Ozempic pens. But I didnโ€™t realize the Ozempic pen had a viewable needle that needed to be changed all the time. Iโ€™m not sure that I like either option? Has anyone tried them both? Side effects?
