Nice work! I want to try and make a resin sphere but the seller got different size of molds. I want sphere to be the same size as the resin sphere in the video. Might I know the diameter of it?

Hi Gena,
I'm very glad that you already received the mold! The instruction on the resin box has such an infos, usually it takes 24 houres to cure or even more. For the resin exess you can use 220 grind sandpaper then 400, 800, 1200, 200.
My husband was bring from his work that sanders disc, I don't know if it is availble at some store, you might check it in Home Depot.

I use a few brands such as EasyCast, Amazing Resin and a couple more brands.To be honest it doesn't matter what a resin brand, it matters the experience to work with resin:)

Nice tutorial. How would you keep little flowers from floating up to the opening if they don't have stems on them? I have several loose flowers with no stems or leaves that I'd like to make a pendant with, but when I tried it, they floated up. Thank you in advance

Hi! Thanks or a good tutorial. I need to ask one thing though. I've seen many need to polish the resin jewellery before they're all nice and shiny, but yours looks good without polishing! Is that a special brand of resin? Thanks so much beforehand.
The final product depends of a quality the molds. All my molds made with smooth and shiny surfaces!

+ALAMOULD how do you keep the resin shiny after using sandpaper on it? :)
+mishl7 yeah, notice how the ring didn't make it to the last "finished" part of the video? Because that one had a lot of sanding to make it look nice and finished, and it's major pain to bring back the shine from a sanded piece. The only easy way is to do another coat of resin on top like a clear coat. But even that is not as easy as it sounds. No amount of hand sanding will get you back that water clear finish.
Also, the orb in this needs strong glue on the top to be able to keep that finding from sliding right back out. If you want to make quality pieces you've got to do your homework. And watch tutorials that don't skip over the important parts of finishing the pieces:)

J de hond doesn't matter what resin you use, all natural inclusions have to be dried out or they'll rot in resin! Please see my another video how to dry flowers!!! Thanks

How long does this resin that you used stay optically crystal clear and without yellowing and discoloration, and where can i get a large quantity of it from?
Very long or even forever, I used Clear Cast 7050 you can buy it through Ebay.
Which material is used in the mould
For the flowers, can you use any flower (ive read that color can fade on some) and do the flowers rot in the resin or do they stay preserved forever?
Flowers will be rot in resin only if they're freshly casted or didn't dry out enough good. Some very fragile flowers can change their color a bit also it depends of the resin deep and a curing temperature

I'm having a hard time casting flowers. They lose color, or get a cloudy look around certain parts. I cant dry these because they will lose their shape if they sit out for over two hours. Any suggestions?

Some people seal them with Mod Podge or a similar material, allowing them to dry completely before embedding them in resin. TAP Plastics has an excellent sealer for organic materials like flowers, paper, etc.

The flowers have to be 100% dried, then they won't be discolored! Any resin will work just fine:)

Sometimes you have to use E6000 glue to be sure it will stuck there's forever:)

ive got a 2 part resin called easyflo. its clear but sets with a kind of yellow tint. whenever i use it, it sometimes drys white, sometimes clear/tinted, its full of tiny air bubbles and it sets very fast, almost within a minuet, and sets very cloudy. its a new bottle, any tips? i just want to be able to make things like you do but i am struggling
I never heard about this resin, you might try Amazing clear resin
Clear cast 7000 is super clear, barely any bubbles, and not yellow in the slightest. Waaay cheaper than a lot of other popular resins too. Look for it on amazon. It's my fave:)!
