    Mercedes-Benz has given the C-Class a comprehensive overhaul, and the latest version of the popular saloon is better than ever. The more aggressive new grille and bumpers help it stand out, while inside, the dash has been totally redesigned, with better materials, a modernised layout and a slick new integrated media screen.The very latest face-lifted Mercedes C-Class has over 2,000 new components and whilst it looks familiar on the outside, the changes are most noticeable in the cabin. This raft of improvements make the C-Class a serious contender in the premium compact saloon class and a worthwhile competitor to the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.

    I bought a 2012 C 350 last week (USA version). My previous car was a 2005 BMW 325i and my wife has an BMW X3, so I'm not some Mercedes homer. I planned on testing 6 or 7 entry level luxury cars but I tested a C 350 (and 250) and it was over. The current C Class is amazing. I was sikd even before we hit the freeway. Best sound system I've ever heard, and it simply glides over the road. BMW 3 Series is great, but the steering is a bit heavy and it just doesn't feel as luxurious.

  • @craig1553
    @craig1553 Před 5 lety +4

    Foot brake is easy to use, steering wheel is central over the seat ( perhaps the reviewer has an offset sternum) car is very very comfortable and excellent to drive and has all of the requirements you would need for British roads. Interesting that there are never any other cars on the road when these reviews are filmed, not very lifelike at all and not a true representation; what’s the car like in traffic, vision for seeing other road vehicles, parking in multi storeys etc etc

    This review is silly. Merc's are known to have foot operated hand brakes. It's under £30k it's budget, there's only so much you can ask for. The rear legroom should be small some people want a smaller car. If one wants a large car they will have to pay for one. Also it is rear wheel drive, for those that care will want a Merc, for those that don't they can opt for an Audi or VW. And don't compare a Merc to a BMW. The driving dynamic of a Merc should be relaxing not sporty. Now quality...?

    I have owned one for the last 2 years, and I must say I feel rather let down by Mercedes. The interior is a nice place to be and feels well built, the exterior is also nice. But the big problem is the C220 cdi engine, it's extremely rough and now reaching 50,000 km a horrible rattle/ loose noise has developed under the drivers seat under acceleration. Good thing the lease is over in a year! Going to BMW next time, is it possible to see a review of a 4 series gran coupe?

    because he did not release the brake yet. once he let go of the main brake it would do a tiny 'roll'.

    Well it does not allow to let the person sitting in the middle seat sit comfortably. He does not tell that its bad in every video, don't tell anything if you have not seen all his reviews.

    i've driven mercs (all kinds GL, M, R, S, E, C, B) and have never even noticed the offset feel. Even now with it in mind i can't tell, maybe it's a UK thing? As for the foot operated parking brake, i dont think anyone uses it, there's an electronic parking gear that locks the car, the foot is just additional.

    Why does everybody want automatic gearboxes???
    I would say the manual gearbox is much more fun to drive... especially if you are like me and are into burnouts and drifting and stuff like that :D

    At the same time, if you're okay with driving automatic, it's a great car. Very relaxing, and great handling :)
