      @@pavle_b hi! Great question. Personally I would always go for the V6 M272/276 if possible. To answer your question, any. Both M270/274 engines are great with a proven track record of reliability. The new M260/264 engines still have to be tested with time and kilometres (250k, 500k, 1M).

    I have owned the W204 sports plus 2.1 diesel version for 5 years and done 110000ks and not a single issue and the economy of the diesel is amazing I have had it down to 3.7ltrs per 100ks on the highway on long trips. They are also such a great looking and smooth riding car. I don't believe I will ever sell mine even though I could get the latest c class if i wished, it's a car for life.

    @rozetca Před rokem

    I have one, but the 1.8 2012 estate AMG pack. owned it for 4 years and a few months now. No major issues, just age related maintenance: engine and transmission mounts, gearbox oil, diff oil, hand break and rear break pipes corroded and had to be replaced, a level sensor in the rear, a valve for the ac unit, 2 thermostats. Now, I am looking to do the timing chain (not urgent because there is no rattle) and the AC compressor because after 1 hour of driving, there's no more cold air coming through. I usually use a Mercedes indy shop, but I am starting to do the easy stuff myself, like engine oil, filters and brakes because it's getting too expensive (£350 for a oil and filter only, for example). The rear subframe corrosion is a known issue -I had mine checked at a MB dealer - all good, but I cleaned, primed and undersealed myself just for the peace of mind.
    Performance wise, it's not that bad - I can join a motorway quickly, with a bit of revs, it will keep up with 2.0 TDI VAGs. In Germany I took it all the way to 146 mph - which is not bad for 156 Hp.
    Fuel economy is bad, really bad for only 156 Hp - 20-25 MPG in the city and 30-35 MPG highway. On the motorway, if there's a lot of road works and I have to drive at 50 mph, the fuel consumption will go up to 38-39 mpg.
