Careful with that large shrimp you found early in the video. That is a mantis shrimp, AKA a "thumb splitter", so called because of their ability to cause immense amounts of damage proportional to their size with strikes from their pincers.

That is not a mantis shrimp it’s arms would be fairly bigger and they do not come in that type of shape unless it’s injured or sum that is not a mantis shrimp
My friend got attacked by one while he was sitting in the water at the sandbar sticking his finger in the holes in the sand smh and like a week later hit the lotto 1million dollars lol 🤷🏽♀️ it couldddd be lucky never know lol

Jake, thank you so much for finding my gold ring dated February 17th 1910. For those of you who don't know what happened to my ring , well it fell off my middle finger in Key West my home town, August 2020, I was at Simonton St at beach at Key West and that day I decided to swim with a friend and a few us were jumping from a pier and swimming back to shore.
I sat down and looked down at my finger and the ring was Gone. I looked around the beach and then knew it had to be out in the sea where id been swimming.
This year almost two years later , Jake found my ring out in the water.
Contacted me through Alex Corpion a friend in Key West and the two called me to tell me to tell me The. Gold Ring dated February 17th 1910 with letters inscribed L F had been found.🙌❤️ I was in amazement and total shock to see them on camera at Simonton and Jake holding my ring...saying Brigitte is this your ring?
I answered Yes!! I never thought id ever see it again. Its amazing and Im so thankful to Jake for getting out there in that water and finding this ring and to Alex to for telling Jake about the missing ring. It is now a real Treasure from the sea. 💛

Use whichever name you like better. I like the original name, BUT renaming to something that's easier for new people is smart too. Give it time and people will adjust to the new name if you decide to keep it. Just keep doing your thing :)
OH man, I have been in Key West all month with all my dive gear. Would have loved to go with you. I inadvertently went treasure hunting while snorkeling at Dry Tortugas. I looked down and 3 shiny dots caught my eye- I dove down and picked up a ring with a couple of cheap stones in it.

Because you asked, DALLMYD is absolutely the name to keep! "Scuba Jake" seems better for a nickname, it just doesn't have the same serious impact as DALLMYD. (i.e. "Jake, from the DALLMYD CZcams channel helped the police recover....") Like others, I kept skipping the video in my notifications, not realizing it was you. Achieving over 12 million followers with Dallmyd can't be wrong! Keep doing what you do!!

I am going to be brutally honest here and give my opinion. Dont fall for the standard marketing agency tricks Jake. The standard "let us help you unlock new potential". Realize that those 10 million plus fans know you as dallmyd, there is no need for a name change. You have enough videos and followers to sustain and grow this channel. Just keep making good quality content. Dallmyd as a name has personality, has attitude and has a familiair sound. Dont go down the generic "scuba jake" route....please, stay close to yourself.
The OG name is what you built on, but its up to to you! But I definitely liked the og name its just different and cool
