Bailey's heart attack episode is the reason why my mom is still alive. She had no idea that women's heart attacks felt differently than what all the literature we read growing up says. My mom was able to recognize the symptoms based on the episode and was able to get to the hospital in time.

@@sherlynramirez2139 She didn't let Owen gaslight her into keeping the baby when she got pregnant by him either. I loved Cristina so much! She's one of my favorites and I miss her so much! She lived and breathed surgery and it was her life. I never wanted to be a mother so I got my tubes tied 9 years ago so I didn't have to worry about birth control anymore and have been with a man for 12 years with no kids and he doesn't want kids either and we both agreed when we first got together that kids wouldn't be in our future and we were on the same page. Owen and Cristina just wanted different things. But I think she loved Owen way more than she ever loved Burke. And Burke loved her enough to let her go (although it was kind of crappy to leave her at the alter) but he wound up giving her a whole cardio hospital to make up for it. I think she had the best write off/send off in Grey's history honestly! It's a shame she's said no matter what, she won't come back. I have heard rumors about toxic stuff going on on the set back then when she was on the show. I also heard she needed therapy to be able to let go of the character of Cristina because she played her for so long. Sandra Oh is an amazing actress!

I love how Shonda portrayed the women in this show. She doesn't portray them as weak, she portrays them as strong, strong mothers, creative, and so on. Like when Kepner gave birth on a kitchen table with no pain killers or anything like that's amazing. From season 1 to season 16 she has done a good job with how she portrays women. Thats amazing.

I started watching Grey's Anatomy like think my sophomore year of high school through nextflix, and I just have to say binge watching greys was the first time where I really connected to characters-- every single time someone died I cried, ugly cry- like red puffy face and snot running down my chin, but honestly I loved it and was addicted to these characters. I think that is what is so unique about this show is that there is usually something in every single character that you can relate to and they show the good and the ugly in their lives. And also I was one of those fans who was after Lexi and McSteamy died, I was like why are they putting me through this pain- like I actually felt pain and heartbreak. This is why I continue to watch. I am connected to these people.

But this time, I'm almost done with medical school and I SOBBED watching Bailey comfort Percy in his final moments. That scene had never really gotten me before but imagining what it would be like to have a colleague die in my lap broke me! While I can't say this show is the reason I wanted to go to medical school, it absolutely normalized female doctor's so I didn't even question that this was the right career path!

Stellar acting from Camilla Luddington and everyone. But Silent All These Years just took my breath away. Especially when Abby says “whatever I drank will make it my fault, and whatever he drank will be his excuse” I still want to cry because it’s so real and so true and so unfair. The episode definitely made a difference.

I’ve watched greys anatomy since I was six years old. It has been an distraction for me during the toughest parts of my life and it has given me clarity for what I want to do with my life. I’m going to become a paramedic because of greys. It has showed me that it is possible to chase your dreams. Greys is all I’ve known for the past 15 years and without it so many people including myself would be lost without it. I hope that greys anatomy stays for as long as as possible with or without Ellen because it’s not just her that made the show what it is today. There are so many characters on the show that still have so much more to give to the audience and to fulfil in their own characters storyline’s. To see them all happy and Zola perform her first ever surgery in greys Sloan memorial, that would be the end but we really are just so far from that. I understand Ellen needs to spread her wings and she has her own opinion on the show but her thoughts are one sided. The rest of the people from greys don’t see it the same way and still believe that there is so much left to say. Greys anatomy in itself deserves to have that one final season that is extraordinary and epic. It should be something that is just canceled after the series final has just aired.

@@jeseniadelacruz Katherine never refused an award..Stop repeating every shit that you hear..In season 4, she didn't participate the emmy race in the first place because it was the material with George and Callie and the affair with George and because she thought that Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh deserved more than her because they had a better material but they kept losing..Katherine never talked badly about Shonda..She only talked about her role and her material in season 4..and since we are talking about the angel Shonda, why all of the sudden, did she decide to make George and Izzie cheaters when Katherine Heigl won an Emmy in season 3 and when she was their best actress on the show..?! This is how you reward your best actress who is beloved by the audience..?! By making her a homewrecker and picking fights with another woman in the cafeteria?! WOW..Precious little angel Shonda..But what to expect when T.R. Knight said that he left because he had a breakdown of communication with her and that she didn't support him at all when he wanted to come out and that it was a waste of time to ask the writers of what was happening with his role and instead he chose to quit or when Sara Ramirez said that she left to protect her mental health because the Grey's environment was hostile and unsupportive..and Chandra Wilson was the one who said that she wants Katherine back and she even supported her back in 2008 and she said that the topic with the contest had been "blown out of proportion..lmao..Katherine was never the problem but you all are not ready for this conversation..But justice will come for Katherine..

Great interview !!! I love how all the women have great admiration and respect for each other. They also took the time to acknowledge Shonda Rhimes , Sandra Oh and several other women who contributed immensely to the show. Some many powerful episodes through the years.

I feel like in the past they have avoided talking about older episodes or characters and i always found that so sad so it’s nice to hear them talking about sandra oh and george o’malley

Chandra Wilson saying that because of Miranda Bailey black women have not only seen that I can be in the medical field but I can be a doctor ...a surgeon... gave me chills. For someone so little she has had some powerful shit come out of her mouth! 👏🏼👏🏼 btw the best doctor I have ever had in my whole 28 years of life has been a black woman!
