For DIRT’s first trip across the pond, host Josh Rosen dove head first into Ireland. From long-held traditions to the modern-day artisanal movement, he unearthed the multicultural goldmine between the highlands and the Wild Atlantic Way-with stops for surfing, a seaweed bath, and a couple holes of golf spectated by free-range goats, of course. Foraged cocktails? Fresh crabs from Galway Bay? It’s all on the table in this epic road trip inspired episode rooted in community, homegrown ingredients, and the damn good people who bring it all together.

Defo one of the best materials ive seen about real Ireland to this date, this immense beauty being slowly suffocated into boat migrant and extreme leftism infested kip by its traitor elites.
🇮🇪👏Bravo!👏🇮🇪
As an Irish man I want to say this is Excellent! Portrays Ireland very much as Ireland is! Respect to you Sir!
Exactly
Fantastic job !!! Wish you had of come more north you would have enjoyed our seaweed !! Please come again
You made a 30 minute video about Ireland and didn't mention Dublin once, bravo! This country is so much more than Temple Bar & the Guinness Brewery. Amazing video, great work.
Spoken like a true shit kicker
1:16
Literally one of the first things he says when it properly starts.
Within the context of, Meath is next to Dublin. I’m ok with that 😅
Yes there is more to Dublin
This was incredible. You displayed my country in such a clear honest and beautiful way, the power of its people and our land. Brought a tear of happiness to my eye, proud to be Irish. Go raibh Mile maith agat.
I must visit one day. ❤
Ireland has become like most of the rest of Europe. She’s lost her soul. She has replaced her Catholic, Christian identity and heritage, something that Irish men and women risked and gave their lives for for centuries to preserve and they replaced it with LGBT Marxist secular Godless ideology. She has allowed hoards of migrants not refugees but economic migrants the vast majority of whom are young men into the country. She has permitted the mass murder of the unborn.
Ireland is no longer Ireland.
Though there’s still hope
People are waking up
Oh come on... Like the average Irish person lives or eats like any of the people in this video. Seaweed for dinner, yeah sure. Not if you don't want barf all over the table.
The seaweed we ate was in blancmange, for dessert, maybe it was carrageen? Awful stuff. Served w strawberry jelly. Carrageen gets put into soda bread too I think.
I’m actually raging I live in the east. The east is just a different country, not Irish at all.
It was an absolute pleasure to have the crew and Josh visiting our home and Droimeann breed cattle.
the pleasure was all ours my friend
Loved your jumper !
Arthur 2 On The Rocks and the prequel Arthur starring Dudley Moore was filmed in nearby England.

This Dirt series has such Anthony Bourdain 'Parts Unknown' vibes in the best way possible. Sure the episodes end with fantastic meals concocted from the incredible local ingredients gathered from the travels but the show is clearly about the most important ingredient of all...the people. I continuously find myself tearing up from smiling just listening to their stories. You guys truly capture the small moments that provide the magic to give it life. Something Tony did all too well too. Keep it up, Josh & Huckberry crew. I could watch these episodes all day.
a Bourdain comparison is the best compliment we can ask for 💛 thanks for the love
Was just thinking the same thing! That was brilliant. Wanderlust engaged!
Agreed
The thing that I think so many loved Bourdain for is his focus was the genuine focus and interest in people, their culture, all through the medium of food but ultimately so much deeper than that. Every other travel show seems to be “look at me, the (sometimes famous) host”. Dort is different in delivery but the same in values as Bourdain and that is a magical thing.
Ireland outside Dublin is like one island-sized village. Its utterly magical to visit. You will leave a part of yourself in West Cork. 🇸🇪
I live north of Dublin, but go to west cork every chance I get. I did leave a part of me in west cork, and every time I go I lose another. I am sure at some point, nothing will remain in Dub, and I will , happily, remain forever in the wesht.
Beautiful description. Very true too.x
I have never seen such a beautiful and pure take on ireland . You cut right to the bone. You experienced something special not even the irish ourselves experience in our physical but you have captured our spirit which is as slippery as an eal. Go raimh agat .
Im polish, living in Ireland for most my adult life which is nearly 20 years now. I love the Widl Atlantic Way, Irish culture and produce and cooking!
You are so welcome to our Country, let me tell you that I believe Polish people are the greatest people in Europe if not the World, Polish people that come to mind ,St John Paul 2, L Walensa ,and Jan Bobieskie , pardon me if I spelt the names incorrectly Viva Polska.🇮🇪☘️🕊🙏
Beidh fáilte romhat i gcónaí a chara.
There are many cultural similarities between our two countries, and I love how the Poles have assimilated so well into everyday Irish life
@@SN-cm7hu thank you, Ireland is my home now and my irish soon husband agrees ;)
Polish people have earned their respect here in Ireland. Polish people are inherently honest - a most welcome virtue.
I'm Irish and you nailed it, Bravo.
hell yeah, great to hear! cheers! 🇮🇪
Ya it’s class
I'm irish and no they didn't 😂

This is such a great portrayal of the Ireland I know. The Irish tourism board should hire you!
Nicely done! Thank you! I moved to Éire in 2005 for 6 months. Kinda overstayed. Still here, with my beautiful Irish wife and 3 ginger kids! Beautiful country! Beautiful people! 🇮🇪🥃🍀 🐑🐄 🌧
May I ask you were are you originally from?
U poor soul
Three gingers!
@@georgerice6488 eejit you must be British
Red, not "ginger" 🙄
Fact we started with a shot in Galway shows they knew exactly what they were doing. Absolute gem. Great work as always.
love the attention to detail 🤌 thank you!
@@Huckberryco Ya man starting with a flip off black rock 'chefs kiss' perfectly sets the tone.
I agree with all the comments here from other Irish people. You really captured Ireland or the Irish experience (or at least the rural Irish experience). If I could add one thing ....and this is not a criticism but just important to mention. Ireland has seen a lot of immigration over the last 30 years. They have been a big part of the food revolution here too. You see it more in the Cities in Dublin and Cork but the principles still apply. It local and high qaulity produce but has influences from Africa, Asia, South America.
One of my favourite places to eat in Cork City is a little cafe called Izz. It's run by a Palestinian couple who came to Ireland as refugees. If you are ever in Ireland again this would be an interesting take on the Irish food scene.
The most terrific series on CZcams. Each jump in the water makes the viewer feel more alive. Cheers
love to hear it, cheers friend!
As an Irish person, I needed to see this! Beautifully done. We have a very beautiful country...would have liked you to go to Donegal though..easily our most special county!
Despite our best efforts Donegal remains a best-kept secret.
Shut up about Donegal. I want it all to myself.
This really blew me away, I'm Irish and was ready to nitpick any fault in this video.
You showed Ireland in a way that made me super proud of living here and to appreciate what's around me.
Your personality and outlook really shine through without clouding what the producers and suppliers have to say. There isn't the ego that comes with some presenters.
You're passion shines and I really think you are an exceptional presenter.
I would watch 50 seasons of this.
Man all I can say is that I'm in awe. That dude seems to jump off every cliff he sees. Fearless!
I got the chance to travel to Ireland in 2019 and it remains one of my most favorite places I've been. You guys were able to not only capture the beauty and culture of Ireland, but also the unspeakable feeling you get by just being there. Thanks for taking me back :)
that's awesome, glad we could! 🇮🇪
Thank you for featuring our lovely island of Ireland 🇮🇪
Lovely! Sherry from Kalamazoo here. Clifden is my home away from home. I've been to Ireland 3 times in 6 months and returning in October. Every time I return a part of me remains. You've captured the essence of Ireland. Simply brilliant!!
After several hundred travel & cook videos on YT I have to admit - your series are the best, period.
love to hear it, much appreciated
@@Huckberryco come to Poland then!
English muffins were originally made with soda or seltzer which is more of a Jewish traditional method. Cooking brig a joy and joy brings Ireland to the US
Oh my god, your best episode yet. Your photographers/videographers and editors deserve every award. To shoot food in natural light like it's landscape and to shoot landscape like it's a portrait of a loved one is MAGIC and I'll hear nothing otherwise. Every frame made me hungry, or made me laugh, or made me cry a bit.
Cheers Adam!
beautiful feedback thank you 💛 so glad you enjoyed it
As an Irish man from Dublin.. I'm embarrassed I have never visited these beautiful places and meet all the beautiful people.. thank you so much for making this amazing video ❤❤❤❤❤❤
No idea how I stumbled across this, as an Ulsterman it was an absolute joy to watch. What great people you met on your journey. Hats off to the production values and presenter on this, really well put together. Look forward to watching the rest of your films!
glad you enjoyed it, welcome aboard!
The community around the place is absolutely heart warming

Each episode of "DIRT" series deserves millions of views. Fantastic production, people absolutely heartwarming! Great job, folks! Definitely formed a desire to repeat your route someday.
Hello from Ukraine!
appreciate you following along!
I don't know what it is. I always come to tears at least once during your productions. The cinematography, the editing, the music, the people. Alway a story that's a heart-felt adventure. I will send a link to this video to my relatives in Ireland.
Brilliant as always! Ireland has always been on the bucket list bit it certainly just jumped up in priority.
Go for it!
stay away from Dublin go to the west of Ireland Galway a beautiful place to stay
Nothing wrong with Wexford on the South East either 😊

Im Irish and this is the perfect representation of ireland ❤🇮🇪
this series is the best show on youtube right now, hands down
One of the most artfully crafted and beautiful pieces of travelogue storytelling I've seen in years. Cheers to the Huckberry team!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This may be the most tasteful and authentic depiction of Ireland from any outside source that I've ever seen. Of course it's not the day to day life of most of the people here, but this video captures the spirit of our little nation perfectly in my opinion.
love this feedback thank you 🇮🇪
This was by far one of the best documentaries about Ireland that I’ve seen. This is the Ireland that exists for me and the one that everyone needs to know still exists!
this series is top notch!
Another epic adventure! Thanks Josh and the Hucker's!
thanks for following along!
Just when I thought I would not return to Ireland for a fourth time, I see this video. We have visited many of the places you did, played in some pubs and overall experienced the wonderful people. Nicely done film.
This appeared in my CZcams feed, and I’m glad it did. Fascinating, quick paced and beautifully filmed. You should have 5 million subscribers.
Thank you, that's the goal!
Great video better than our national broadcasters. You are welcome back to Ireland anytime. Hope you do more filming here. 🇮🇪
I'm 7 minutes in and wanted to say bravo. This is beautiful.
Extremely impressive documentary. Very proud of our country and people
Being Irish is a joy and pleasure in a way that no one has been able, for me, to recreate. The people are everything and these places are the essence of what I call Ireland. Thank you
I needed this. As an Irish man who's lived here all my life, I forget what I have on my doorstep. Caught up in the rat race, it's easy to do so. I live 15min from newgrange, never been, I'll remedy that on my next wkd off. Time to stop and enjoy the beauty.
love it, enjoy!
"Come 4 o'clock, a thirst is usually descending upon me"😂 nicely put....
Ireland, best show on earth
With heavy heart I remembered late Anthony Bourden after watching this video. I feel happy you have carrying on Anthony baton for making such beautiful travel and food video.
beautiful cinematography about beautiful people ❤
Born, bred and buttered in Ireland and always feel so privileged to live and explore here. This is a gorgeous video. Next time you'll have to visit the Sunny South East. The kettle will be on and the door open with a welcome.
I kept forgetting I was watching a video on CZcams rather than a documentary on a national broadcaster. Excellent video. Credit to yourself. Ger, Ireland.
A beautiful representation of what makes that country what it is. Feeling home sick watching it
My favorite episode of Dirt so far. What a gem !

Don't know how i ended up on this amazing channel ... simply speechless (Love from Mongolia)

I'm literally obsessed with this series, Food, Travel and learning about different cultures tickles my fancy
The visuals in this series are so incredible that I find myself having to rewind parts, because I'm so fixated on how beautiful everything looks.

What an amazing show- truly what makes me believe in the power of CZcams and true artists.
Absolutely delighted the greeting you received . And amazing little journey that fills me with pride to irish . BUT you missed out on the entire south east , wicklow the garden of Ireland . Wexford , waterford kilkenny .. such a pity they weren't apart of ur film 😔
I absolutely adore this show. It makes me feel so happy. I've waited 9ndays to watch this episode because I was saving it for a time to just watch it and be immersed in it. Thank you to Josh, you legend, and all of the crew behind making these shows. But most importantly, thank you to the farmers, producers, creators, chefs and everyone else thats featured for making these shows possible with your tireless work.

Wow. In love with Dirt adventures, and this one was very special. Thanks for creating amazing stories and sharing them. ♥
Excellent episode, which showed the true irish hospitality
'Gal'- way... keeping that one! Beautiful episode and so nice to see Ireland shown in all her glory without being the usual 'Mick' edge... very cool
This series is the best thing on yt right now.
I love this series and keep finding myself watching over and over again. My wife and I booked a trip to Ireland for next summer specifically because of it! ❤
Love to hear that! I think a few of us at the office have done the same! We got some more great episodes around the globe coming in 2024, so stay tuned...

Next Episode: Vancouver Island, Canada
Specifically Maple Bay Organic Hop Farm
Would love to host an episode…
I moved to Ireland almost 10 years ago. Slowly but surely moving further and further west.
You've managed to capture exactly what I love about it: The incredible landscapes, wonderful food, and most of all the incredible people.
Maybe because I've recently became Irish myself, this literally moved me.
You have a new fan in me :)
Love this! Josh, thanks so much for coming here and showcasing this. Hopefully people will want to come here more and enjoy all that we have. Pity you weren't in Dublin (that we saw)...would have loved to have brought you for a pint in The Long Hally (my fav) which is 257 years old this year.
Oh, I just love the show. Can't wait for the next episode. The love of everyone involved shows so clearly in this.
One of the most enjoyable things I've watched this year. Educational, entertaining with a strong dose of wanderlust. Loved it!
This might be the best documentary on Ireland I’ve seen. Credit to your skill and curiosity.
I love everything about this show. From the cinematography, to the host. It is amazing. And shoutout to whoever coordinates all of the stops to see locals, they are doing a great job.
thanks for following along!
Another amazing slice of incredible storytelling from around the world
glad you enjoyed it!
first of the series i’ve watched and it’s captured the place’s heartbreaking beauty. it’s shot with such skill too, the shot at 21:07 is incredible showcasing decades of experience with a steady, humorous touch
Great video. When you come back make sure you visit Waterford. The oldest county of Ireland. Has everything you need. Beautiful and often overlooked.
I love this series. It is done so well. As someone who loves travel & food and food & travel this does the job above and beyond
Absolutely incredible episode and Series. Ireland has never looked so beautiful in CZcams video🇮🇪❤️
Thank you for taking me on a journey to where I've always wanted to go ......beautiful people, the only sad thing to me is the obvious lack of trees, it really did get stripped at one time. Coming from the westcoast of Canada I sadly see that happening on Vancouver Island.
For me what sets your video apart from the hundreds of others made every year is the people, you met and mingled with the ordinary people and characters , their personalities like yours shine through and make this extra special . The scenery and food shown is always nice but the flavour of the people completes the real Ireland experience. Well done lads.
The beauty about these works: you feel that Josh.
We all know that life is often challenging. For each of us in a different way. And sometimes it's these little inspiring moments that these videos convey. Like an inner safe space.
Take care Josh. And the entire Huckberry team. Impressive art. Beautiful momentum.
Irish food has changed in the last 25 years. It is such a pleasure to see, feel and taste the excitement, quality and creativity that goes into Irish food today by all the individuals of growers, producers and chefs!
