love this. im wondering. if you were gonna do this in resin, what file would you recommend? and how would one be able to put lights in it? i could do it in FDM but from the sanding and painting im scared im gonna lose a lot of details. Thanks in advance.

hi, I want to get a printer to print models, mainly sci-fi ships. my budget isn't too much, there are some affordable creality printers I have been eyeing. would you reco those?
For FDM I. use creality mainly. I prefer the CR Series my self. Enders are nice but can be a pain. the CR-10v2 is pretty much my fav. But I am also liking the new CR-m4

Lots of sites but also there is tons of free sites like thingiverse. Cults3d, Gambody, and CGtrader are all good pay for sites

If that preview is the actual rendered preview it makes my model look like crap. I could never figure out how to make the hull shader to look right. Then again I guess an STL wouldn't have that info. The majority of the detail doesn't look that different.....except where I'm lacking it. I didn't include the phaser emitters or anything like that. It does enourage me though that it looks nearly identical to mine overall in the shape.....except for the hangar deck that I need to delete and rebuild.
and........yeah this has surface detail I definitely don't. lol
the surface detail doesn't seem to be on your final print, but the phasers did. So I'll need to add those to my model.
