Raga, Vasanthabhairavi. Just flown through his voice like a river. I love to lysten him happly , what a voice madulation. Superb.
Ragalapana, swaraprasram r also satisfactory among present young generation.

What a magnificent, torrential, effortless flow! A touch of bhavam to meld with sahityam of the kriti would carry him to inimitable heights.
I am also so impressed by his range both lower and higher octave are heard clearly.
Wonderful! I have not heard such an alapana of Vasant Bhairavi. He has presented for us the essence of the raga. Melodious indeed.
Been to a few of his live concerts. Yes, there may be some lack in bhavam but this will come with age. His renditions are technically good, his voice amazing esp the bhrigas and gamakams, lovely mix of old and new. Great package! Wonderful talent. If he stays on the straight and narrow should be an all time great by middle age!

18.40 swara prasthAram is similar to that of Shreeman Balamurali Krishna Garu. I love this boy singing in such profoundness at such an younger age. I listen to his renditions frequently.

In this song Tyagaraja requests Rama not to make delay in showing kindness to him.He adds that Rama's greatness will not be reduced if He pities Tyagaraja. O Auspicious Lord rAma! Knowing long back that You are my protector in this World, should You delay this much? Raga Vasantha Bhairavi A janya ragam of Vaghulabharanam. The most famous song in this ragam is Thyagaraja Swamigal’s Nee Daya Radha. vasantha bhairavi is a minor raga. a minor raga is one which does not have much scope for elaboration. not necessarily it should have less no. of swaras. it may contain all the swaras but it is minor because the scope is less.
There is another dikshitar kriti 'venkateswaram' in this raga.
Credit goes to ilayaraja for using this 'nee daya raada' as it is, with tamil lyrics ' un dayavillayo' and making people to take notice of this raga.

At advanced levels, singing brings out the Singer's own individual 'mudhra'. Rasikaas must learn to enjoy the striking feature(s) of each Singer. With Abhishek I go with him in his 'explorations' of each of his ragas. Like a European Portrait Painter, using different colours and shades, Abhishek uses his brigas and gamakas to throw light on the border of each Raga. If a Rasika sees across to spot another Raga, so be it...... In exploring a 'border', occasionally, one puts a foot momentarily across the border into another Raga..... But Abhishek knows how to get back into the border of Raga he is singing......!!!!!

This vasantha bhairavi is suitable for female artists like late MLV but her direct sisyai Sudha sings flat . This boy uses lot of birgas like GNB which we have not heard for long, since his demise.Afterall this boy is excellent inhis attempt in lower note in alapana. Oneday he will be at par with Sanjay Subramanian as he has variety.

Bommaraju's words are harsh of course, but there is an element of truth in them. I am a great fan of Abishek, outstanding voice and talent,never miss a concert of his. However, it will be great if he can think about this aspect. I just finished listening to a Chembai song, and the contrast is stark. Good music is elevated to greatness if the singer can convey not only the composer's but his/her own Heart and Bhakti (for want of better words) to the listener.

His singing just isn't very smooth in this video, he's constricting his voice for articulation over a smooth delivery. Little harsh criticism guys, but then again it grates on my ears too.

I have been to his live concerts. I enjoyed thoroughly. I strongly believe that his singing had lot of effort especially vocal part and swara alapana. But honestly Meaning of the song list in his singing. Song meaning and Emotion is not carried in his singing.
Please correct Talladilla is a single word. You are breaking in between which is odd to listen. PL refer to bakamurali Krishna he always carry the meaning and bhava with his singing.

it is for the first time to hear this raaga elaborately sung very good but the kirtana should have been treated more melodiously without gimmicks as this raaga demands for
the violinist must have been given a chance to present Alapana, isn't that the tradition?

Alapana is excellent. But the krithi rendition is just mechanical without soul showing off only technical wizardry. May be its the age factor as pointed out by many.
Where is the Soukhyam in this?the kriti rendition needs plain expressions...like the alapana the song should have flowed...
Great singing but just got carried away with his ability to display his talent and eventually lost on sahityam and bhavam. Maybe, not having the knowledge of language in which the kriti was composed could have been the reason (with many who sing Sri Tyagaraja). Listen to Sri Nagaiah garu in the film Tyagayya. You could easily make out that he was immersed in bhakti when he enacted the role of Sri Tyagaraja

First of all to my knowledge no one has touched upon this much detail in Raag Vasantha Bhairavi. Hats off to Raghuram. I think you are commenting upon his phonetics. He splits Namadhi Dhalla Dilla Ka, which do you mean to say is not meaningfully correct. I do not think so. I humbly feel you may not be this much harsh in your opinion.
nice talent but seems lost in it-lacks sensitivity to the subject and the tempo is surely inappropriate for the plaintive words of Saint Sri Thiyagaraja
