2009 Panasonic 60” Ceiling Fan | 2024 Remake!

- Last time I showed this giant sluggish fan, it was installed in a much bigger room with taller ceiling. As a result, I can't feel much of the airflow. Now that I'm testing it in my dining room, I can start to understand why Panasonic gave this fan a weak motor, and I'm still mad.
This is a 2nd iteration Panasonic F-EY153. This is a fan that can trace its roots to Malaysia. The motor's internal components is shared with many Malaysian Matsushita ceiling fans, so as the oddball blade bolt pattern. Malaysians have a weird habit I can't yet understand, of mounting 60" ceiling fans in their small bedrooms, livingrooms or whatever. If that's Panasonic's target market, then this fan does its job brilliantly. But because people also use these fans in their restaurants, businesses, public areas etc, these modern sluggish Panasonic fans never fail to disappoint me.
Let's start with the motor. First iteration EY153s are powerful. They have bulkier motors with 6 spoke cast metal bottom plate/rotor. They spin pretty fast, and the so-called stencil blades are fairly durable. With the 2nd iteration, Panasonic did away with the Malay old school ceiling fan motors, and came up with a creation so disappointing that I'd throw mine in a trash compactor if I don't have any moral values. Comparing this to the last true old school Matsushia ceiling fan in Indonesia; the Panasonic F-EY149-2, this fan feels more like a squirrel breathing down your neck.....no, that's not fair to the squirrel. Point is, this fan & the next gen EY1511 is such a large departure from the 149 era, so much that it makes some Matsushita knockoffs feel like they're made better.
@@coolpoint4568 yes
bahkan aku merasa yg versi KDK nya aja, si WZ56P maupun WZ56W, dia punya kecepatan putaran yg cuma setara dgn kecepatan F-EY153 awal produksi, which is memang sih kenceng, untuk ukuran kipas 60 inch, tapi gak terlalu kenceng untuk ukuran kipas 56 inch.
i remember seeing similar fans to these in malaysia and indonesia back in the 90s and 2000s, and identifying their design as " malaysian design" by that motor cover design
I believe this is where the current generation Matsushita fans traced its roots, replacing the sandwich skeletal motors with this ribcage style
Personally I like the idea of a 56” - 60” fan in a bedroom as long as the blades have enough clearance from the walls. At least 2 - 3 feet I guess. I’d just go with a better fan. An acquaintance has an SMC K56 in their bedroom and it’s crazy in there when it’s on high. But that’s just me lol
On a smaller condo bedroom, I much prefer small - medium sized ceiling fans. Fullsize ceiling fans work better in larger living spaces
Same here, Panasonic has this 3-blade fan with quite low capacity of about 50W, so it doesn't feel cool, the fan capacitor is often damaged, replacing it with another one will run stronger.
Matsushita sells this fan is one form or another in mosy parts of the world. Their quality has definitely declined since the 90’s
Si legend yang tiada matinya 🔥🔥
Walaupun cat sudah dilalap tahun masih kuat kayak badak
Ini lebih ke EY149 deh
Well, when I visit clothing store, I saw Panasonic Ceiling Fans there. And it was spinning silently, even at Max Speed 😅
there have been a godawful number of F-MY153 (the malaysian variant of this) copies booming around shopee. its basically an oem product i suppose? the most popular one is Milux if im not wrong
Yep I know. Are any of those knockoffs more powerful than Panasonic’s?
@@TheFanUniverse havent seen one running irl. should be about the same or slightly stronger
In south america, this is i think non existent. The closest thing was the KDK M56LG, because Panasonic left the country for some reason. We also didn't get a 60 inch, only a 56 inch. I love these fans and love to see the regional differences
Edit: comparing this to an older Panasonic F-5609L (National F-EY149) this is pathetic. I don't know why your ceiling fans from KDK and Panasonic are so bad yet they're so good in South America.
The 56” KDK variant of this fan which is also for sale here is honestly much better. They spin at much higher RPMs. I believe the craze for 60” diameter ceiling fan came from Malaysia, which I think is where most / all modern Matsushita fullsize ceiling fan motors are made
Is it really that weak or is the motor capacitor wearing out?
I’ve never seen any 2nd iteration units spin faster than this
Niceeee bang akhir nya di remake juga.
Yoi
Legend tapi awet, warna pudar tetap kenceng ya si panasonic ini. Btw Mesinnya gacor kangg🔥👍
@@TheFanUniversetpi ditempatku kebanyakan udh menguning semua tpi masih kenceng banget, org tidur disana aja betah
@@TheFanUniversebtw thanks infonya😅👌
Versi regulator lengkung sama baling versi lama terbaik sih, soalnya punya keduanya, klo dibandingin versi lama sama yang segitiga gtu, lemah banget yg versi segitiga padahal jarang nyala
Versi lama yg balingnya tdk bergaris & regulatornya gemuk memang jauh lebih kencang
My 2nd favorite fan!
Edit: how did u know the prod. Date?
I learnt to decipher the production code
@@TheFanUniverse how?
the panasonic ceiling fan made in malaysia
Yes
kayaknya salah nulis tahun nya deh kan ini 2024
halo baaaaaang 🗿
aku di tempat masjid ada kayak gini tapi dia regulator nya panasonic orbit fan
Menarik
Gk salah kan tuh bang 2023 remake?
Hmm, ini video direkam pertengahan thn lalu & rencananya rilis Oktober 2023, ternyata ditunda segini lama & ku lupa ganti 😬
