The only sane solution is for Christians to take a stand against being used and distorted this way. So, while I don't believe they should be pushing for any candidate, I also believe that supporting a candidate that more closely lives according to Christian values is a wise decision... at least until we can remove politics from the pews.

Religious groups should stop trying to get the government to enforce their beliefs on the rest of us and start doing things that make people want to follow their teachings. I love an evangelical that says the goal is to break down the walls dividing us. I completely agree and even as an agnostic would volunteer some time with his group. I have been volunteering for Harris and Walz. I think reducing the importance of the divisions, because most are minor issues, and working together is more important than an individual candidate. I am behind the candidate that I think is doing the best job in uniting all people of America. In this election those candidate are Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. You can feel their concern for the common person and not for just those in the 1%.

I don't consider myself to be an evangelical, but I've been a lifelong follower of Christ and I've been horrified by how Jesus has been misrepresented by the MAGA evangelicals. They have used His name and symbols as a means to their political agenda. Seeing a Christian flag used to hit a police officer on January 6th was just unbelievable. Christ was the Prince of Peace. 1. Prosecutor Kamala Harris will take on the price-gouging corporations. 💙
2. Kamala will give new parents $6,000 for the first year of their child's life.💙
3. Kamala will built 3 million homes every year, using Biden's infrastructure plan.💙
4. Kamala will provide $25,000 down payment to first-time home buyers.💙
5. Kamala will raise 25% income tax on billionaires like Elon Musk to support her economic plan. 💙

1. Currently 85% of them donate to her party so lets see. Although price fixing is a China policy.
2. Ok that covers almost nothing, but will be very expensive nationwide.
3. A step in the right direction, but currently would only supply homes for even 30% of illegal migrants. Not to mention legal and young adults coming of age.
4. Also immensely expensive between this and the child thing will make inflation go up another 20% in a few years.
5. Is that only billionaires or millionaires as well? They generally just leverage their income into more assets and holding companies anyways, so I don't see how this would be an increasing source of revenue. Currently 85%+ of that class backs the DNC as well.
Seems like it's just promoting bad habits. There will be more working class losers from these policies than gainers. More shuffling money around with China style controls, but nobody really gains anything except the government employees running these programs.

Trump's pre-COVID economic performance was mediocre (that's how he bankrupted 6 companies, using his "instincts" instead of doing actual analysis and listening). His plans included raising tariffs with Mexico to make Mexico pay for the wall - shot down very quickly because, just like his other import tariffs, punishes Americans. Biden inherited worldwide post-COVID inflation and higher fuel prices.
Harris is focussed on the middle class and will consider advice from competent advisors. Seems like good habits. Trump doesn't listen to anyone, doesn't read much, cares only about himself and ratings. Trump loves trade wars with China so that is his nr 1 policy for Trump's America Season 2. And his tax cuts will benefit his friends that seem to be manipulate him with flattery, like Elon Musk will do.
