I still remember Sushmita Sen in 1994. Before the Miss Universe final night in Manila, she was one of my top five favorites. However, when she delivered her answer to the final question, she immediately went up to the top of my list. She is a beautiful and incredible woman. She deserves to be India's first Miss Universe. She has a strong zest for living and very honest about her successes and even her failures. Sushmita is a real person, a true human being.

I had the privilege of flying down Sushmita to India after she had just won the Miss Universe title.
All the other paxs on that flight wanted to meet her and take pictures with her.
I went up to her and asked her if she would oblige some of them.
Sushmita who was travelling in the first class, got up promptly and walked through the entire plane, meeting her fans, clicking pictures with them, signing autographs and sharing her pride and joy at being our country's winning ambassador at the pageant. She spent over an hour mingling with everyone on that plane and left them with such good memories. I never fail to appreciate this gentle, articulate, gutsy lady.

2009. During my time Air India was ranked as No. 2 airline in the world with Swiss Air as No. 1.
Alas, today with political interference and mismanagement, our once proud national airline has been brought to its knees. My best wishes and prayers will always be with my precious Air India.

If I ever get a chance to be asked who do I wanna be like, I would definitely say Sushmita Sen. To be noted not for the reason to be beautiful or tall its because I admire her talent of speaking her heart mind and soul out. She is such a wonderful person with such wonderful thought that i could repeatedly and keep hearing her all day long. People did criticize her for her acting but i would say that people will not be able to handle her thought in bollywood, may be that's the reason she couldn't fame out in movies.... I respect her whole heartily for whatever she does and I wouldn't mind if I say that I wanna be like her because i see a real person with real feelings.

Sushmita Sen is really a courageous lady. She meant what she said after she won the Miss Universe contest. During one of her answers she said " Children can bring in a lot of adventure into your life." And she proved it by adopting her first child when she was just 25 and then adopted another child. What a blessed woman she is! I love her. She's so humane and grounded. Have you ever seen Aishwarya Rai go on a campaign like this after winning Miss World? NO. She's so plastic, she only cares for fame and money. Now she's married into the illustrious Bachchan family of Bollywood because she's afraid she won't be remembered for long if she doesn't take on the name of an influential film family like Amitabh Bachchan's. She's so insecure and fake. She must learn a thing or two from her rival Sushmita Sen who's still single but going strong on her own merits.

I am an ardent Sus fan. She is the best. No body can match her in any way. Most important - her big heart and her vision. If more and more women could be like her and have the courage to be single mothers of girl child, I am sure our country will be a different one!
