Sara is doing her Ph.D. in behavioral studies, dedicating her research to Alzheimer's disease. Epileptic events during non-REM sleep in Alzheimer's patients can lead to memory loss. The connection between these events to short-term memories is part of her studies. One-day treatment during sleep of the patients could lead to a better life for them and slower degradation of the memories or brain.
