Exceeded every expectation i had by far
It did. On every level. Can they keep it up is the real question. I kept waiting for season 1 to fall off and it just kept hitting.

I had many of the same reactions. I love how the new show started right from the end of the original series. But the quality was already top notch. The story telling was great as well. As someone whose knowledge of the x men is spotty at best, I was excited and intrigued with the reveal of Magneto taking control of the xmen and was very hyped to see where that leads them all, and how long ol Magnus would be able to walk the straight and narrow path Charles laid before him.
Btw, I watched this with my 4 y-o son on my lap, and he was transfered. I think you introduced the x men to a whole new generation. I will be watching these with him as you release them let's see how much he likes them.
I couldn't have said it better, the stuff with your son is AWESOME! Teach the next gen. Although, beware the later episodes with blood and death.

It is interesting if you listen to the wording the people use throughout the series to describe the villains motivations, Trask calling it the mutant agenda, Sunspot often calls the very aspect of being out "rubbing it in people's faces". These are conscious decisions by the writers to draw parallels to real life.
It was very well done. All the foreshadowing that is done as well. It's crazy to rewatch it and see them telling you right to your face what they are about to do.
Glad I found your channel. I came across your reaction to episode 5 and going through others now. Love the incorporation of the action figures. Also always love when a creator has love for Legend of Zelda too
I'm glad we connected too! I had to add the action figures. They are my strongest connection to the X-Men. I see them every day and I build displays based on how I feel at the time or books that I read or episodes I watch. It only made sense to incorporate them into the reactions.
@@The_X-centric_Collector It honestly makes me want to go get mine out. I keep like everything, so I have a box of them. Though I lost my favorite when I was a kid. It was Weapon X Logan with red wires. But watching these made me realize I can probably find that and more online!

The volume gets better in episode 9. Unfortunately I learned a little late but it does get better and when I react to season 2 the whole thing will be tight.
@@The_X-centric_Collector all good. You are off to a great start. Have you seen the series "Legion" (3 seasons, Hulu)? I would love to see your reaction to this if you have not watched it. I never read comics so it would be cool to hear your perspective you are familiar with the character and have not seen tbe show.
