S1 was amazing and what Marvel animation should be. Clearly, Apocalypse will be a focal point for S2 and I think Forge and Bishop will be mobilizing some of those mutants on the board who are available to help rescue our core team. Iceman, Havok, Magik, Psylock, Dust, Colossus and Emma Frost were all available, not to mention Sunspot, Jubilee and Cable. There are a lot of characters to work with for S2 and rumor has it that Beau DeMayo already had S2 written out before this season even aired. Absolutely love your enthusiasm, energy and excitement 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😎
I read that Beau did finish season 2 but they were "re working it". I really hope they don't mess this up. After seeing season 1 and how great the show can be, if they put out crap, I'm going to lose my shit. I will always reserve judgment until I see the finished product. Thank you for the compliments. The enthusiasm comes from being a life long X-Men fan and finally seeing a true rendition of the X-Men.
@@The_X-centric_Collector Mr DeMayo clearly had a good team and at least the blueprint for S2 was already outlined, so hopefully🤞🏾things will remain top notch. I’m a bit of a comic book nerd…no shame, but now that I’m older, I don’t have as many people who get as excited. Marvel comics has always been my interest, but The X-Men especially have and continues to connect with me on a superficial level, like the costumes, but definitely on a deeper level on so many ways. I am looking forward to following your channel and S2 can’t come soon enough…EXCELSIOR 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😎

My thoughts exactly.
Antarctica is in the South Pole. Magneto used the point in the North Pole to implement his EMP. This show is amazing.😎

Exactly. Magneto was right about a few things but when it came to his retaliation he was way off. They never say how many people died from that EMP but I'm willing to bet it was way more than the mutants in Genosha.

S1 was perfect. I like the 3 way time split. Hopefully they get the pacing right. Might be hard to balence but i trust them. It would be cool if this somehow ties into secret wars and doomsday. If not no big deal but i want to see this bleed into live action. Wolverine looked so good in costume now i want to see the rest
Bro! if they could find a way to mix 97' into secret wars some how... That would be crazy. And seeing Wolverine in the full costume was so epic. He looked fantastic.

Thank you. Just you wait. I got a whole lot of cool figures and displays coming. Also, I am doing a bunch of Deadpool and Wolverine stuff since the movie comes out then I'm going to start Legion for you.
Favorite outfit has always been the yellow one. My introduction to the x men was the 90s show so that is how I see him. However, the brown one has grown on me, and I honestly like either. Love the short king representation with Wolverine
The blue and yellow will for ever be my favorite as well. In regards to the short king. HELL YEAH. No disrespect to Hugh Jackman but I hope whom ever becomes the new Wolvie in the MCU is much shorter. Even if they have to pull a Hobbit like they did in those movies with forced prospective or CGI. Respect the short kings!
Cable's "babyness" i think is due to now having people who are trying to be the parents he never had, his tone really sounds like he is a teen with a new mom after his dad got remarried.

The Nightcrawler and Wolverine fight was so cool. Classic team up. I had to slow it down to watch the fight - the animation is incredibly detailed and Logan and Kurt trading off and fighting back-to-back. I hope this show gets some awards. This is Disney's best Marvel project from the last couple of years at least.
That Nightcrawler and Wolverine scene WAS AMAZING! Possibly my favorite fight scene of all of season 1. I hope it's some awards too. I saw today it was nominated, so fingers crossed. Also, I totally agree. It's Marvels best project in years for sure.

I need all the support I can get just starting out. Also, going forward are there any X related movies or shows you'd like to see me react to? I am going to do all the action figures I own but the reactions are up in the air at this point.
I may not read a lot of comics, but Kitty Pryde has been my favorite superhero for a very long time now, to the point where I even picked up the first few issues of Excalibur just for her. I remember first falling in love with her powerset and personality thanks to the X-Men Evolution cartoon. There was another miniseries that had her in it, but I forget its name. The main things I remember from it were Kitty beating the crap out of Emma Frost as revenge for screwing with her head, and the series ending with Kitty phasing a planet sized bullet through the Earth and across the cosmos. I also distinctly remember reading through Deadpool kills the Marvel universe, and Kitty being the only hero he couldn’t find any way of killing, electing instead to use a magical artifact to trap her. I’ll always see Kitty as amazing, simply because of the fact that if you don’t have any form of magic on your side, she’s virtually untouchable. Plus Lokheed is amazing too! :D My only wish is that there were more video games that have her as a playable character. I realize she’s probably hard to balance around, but still! It doesn’t help that Marvel Heroes Omega and Avengers Alliance, two of the only games I found with her as a player character, are both unplayable now.
I totally forgot about her phasing that huge bullet through the planet. That really shows how powerful she truly is.
@@The_X-centric_Collector Yep! And that was BEFORE she got her hands on the Black Vortex during her time with the Guardians of the Galaxy, giving her a significant boost! Apparently she can now “phase through different planes of existence and ascend to a cosmic plane,” whatever that means. (I may not read the comics, but I’ve scrolled through Kitty’s wiki page multiple times)
If you just rewatched the OG series maybe not do the whole thing but insted pick out some of the highs, lows, significant story arcs, characters you enjoyed etc. If you are only asking if i would watch then the answer is yes.
Someone asked that I watch Legion so I may be doing that next. I never saw it and to be honest it may be a hate watch. Fox didn't do a whole lot that I liked when it came to X-Men.
@@The_X-centric_Collector that was me. I have only seen tbe first season and a half out of 3 of legion but i loved it. I was interested in your reaction to it because i am assuming you know the character. It is really well done. I just got off subscription (hulu) and never finished it. I would love for a good reason go dive back in and finish it. Hearing the opinion of someone that knows the charcter would do just that. Hate watch lol. Been there Fox x men movies did us dirty besides a few exceptions. I have watched a lot of the hulu stuff but not all seasons. The netfix defender stuff was better done. Legion stands as an exception. Speaking only of s1 as i havent finished s2 or started s3
Oh I am very familiar with David Haller. Xavier's psycho son is the reason we got the Age of Apocalypse. I'm pretty sure I'm going to react to that next. I'll shout you out when I do.

I'm glad we connected too! I had to add the action figures. They are my strongest connection to the X-Men. I see them every day and I build displays based on how I feel at the time or books that I read or episodes I watch. It only made sense to incorporate them into the reactions.
@@The_X-centric_Collector It honestly makes me want to go get mine out. I keep like everything, so I have a box of them. Though I lost my favorite when I was a kid. It was Weapon X Logan with red wires. But watching these made me realize I can probably find that and more online!
Bust those figures out and display and play man!
This is the episode i was most waiting for you to drop!!! I watched this the morning after it released and was immediatly impressed with it. I could tell there was something new going on. It just felt like a huge step up in production quality as far as pacing, music, and narravive. I kept saying to myself "man, this is cinematic as shit! We so need a live action version of THIS!" And as the episode progressed, it just kept getting better. By the end i had cried a little and found myself grinding my teeth with how powerfully they made this episode hit. I know it is a common comic book troupe to bring character s back to life, and i wont be mad if they find a clever way of doing so without it feeling cheap, but stories only have power when actions have consequences. When you negate the consequences, you negate the actions that led to it. Much of what defines peo0le is how they react to tragedies they cant fix. Things like that turn andels into demons and demons into angels. Its very relatable as we have all had to experience it in our lives. As much as i would like to see more from Gambit, i kinda would like his passing to drive a powerful story forward.
Such a powerful episode for sure! If the MCU can bottle this energy up and put it on the big screen I firmly believe it will eclipse most of the movies that came before. Let me ask, is this your favorite episode of X-Men 97'?
It was great to see the xmen interacting on the universal scale again. I know they did it in the original animated series with the dark Phoenix saga, but now they have familiar characters like Ronin showing up. What I really enjoyed about this episode is Storm's journey that seems to have empowered her(literally) by embrasing the parts of herself that she fears.

Out of all the X-Men with checkered histories, Gambit became one of the greatest heroes.
"Not as good as the last one but what could be" so well said I think storms hair grew when she changed into OG outfit. The dividing in half really hurt mojo/lifedeath. I agree the back and forth of this one was better. That by default puts these on the bottom. Still this episode had some top tier scenes. The voice actiing for storm really shines. "There was that lie" and "I can't feel you" (previous ep) are two of my favorite lines in thr series. Storm has best music theme for sure. I also really liked seeing Jubalee my age because she was about my age when I watched the show in the 90s. Season is 9.5 out of 10. Lose .5 for not droping new episodes on saturday mornings.
I agree with everything you just said. Everyone I talk to thinks the episodes should drop on Saturday mornings. My favorite Storm line from this episode was "Let them thunder for I AM LIGHTNING!"

I get that the watcher shows up in moments in time that are "fixed" a certain way like Christine dying in the Dr. Strange what if. I know dead is dead but I also know X-Men. All the years I've read the books, There is always a way to bring someone back. May not be time travel but the top X-Men are always coming back.
@CarvLife I greatly appreciate the stopping of spoilers. I hate when people do that. BUT, I recorded my reactions the night each episode dropped. So I know how it all ends. I wasn't ready to put the videos out at the time, I was still building my formate. When season 2 drops my videos will come out either the day after airing or the week after. Again, I appreciate you trying to prevent spoilers.

Unless the event was only possible because of someone else traveling in time ( Mr.Sinister? Hmmmm?) To create the divergent event from happening in the first place and Cabel will just set the timeline right. That's just my theory.
Enjoyed both episodes so far. My only critique would be the figures spin a little too quickly; particularly when unboxed. Lots of detail that's challenging to see while spinning 🙂

Bro! Thanks you so much for the kind words. That's some high praise man. I am planning on releasing the videos the day after the episodes drop in season 2. Season 1 crept up on me which is why it took me 4 episodes to figure out what I was doing. I feel like I finally started getting it right at ep.5, which drops on Thursday. I did. I think it's awesome that they are including the older voice actors that didn't reprise their old role. Cable's new voice is the old Gambit and Val Cooper is the old Jean Grey. eXcellent!
