I think those handles are his own brand, that he just created, so maybe it was some kind of "gift", although the timing and context made him look like a total cheeky asshole.
Yes Alizhan is creating his own handle and he wants to give Ermes one as a gift. Ermes is one of the first persons to receive one. Furthermore he gave the gift because of kazakh´s world known warm hospitality. Thats what I think. We saw during the press conference Levans and Devons "gifts". Those were total disrespect and there is no use for such things.

I'm from Russia. My friends and I also didn’t like how Muratov gave the handle. If there was at least an engraving, it would at least somehow look like a gift. But this was unworthy of a professional athlete. I’m glad that Ermes is not afraid to try, and accepts defeat and victory with dignity. Good luck and no injuries!

You are trusting the translation of a Latvian armwrestler, who is not a native russian, and he does not speak well in russian. The translation was totally reversed, the meaning was changed. The exact translation was: "This is a gift. A gift that his wrist be strengthened, that he can win his future opponents (he meant that in easy way, to win easily). As you see in the interview, Ray just said 5 words as a translation, what do you expect? Just to be sure, I tried to help them (organization) with translations, to be a volunteer, to bring more valuable and reliable English-Russian-Kazakh speaking translators, that non of a single word would be missed, however they did not even answer for that, as result we have this shit translation, which caused misunderstanding in the community and unnecessary hate. Do not trust anyone, who is not certified, or recognized by a community (like Pavlo for example). Bring a translator, buy them or something, or ask the community for volunteering. We do not need money or anything, and everyone will be happy!
