- In today's workout I continue training for the dunk contests at the Olympics and Quai 54 in Paris. This is the last week of loading before I taper for the two comps, so intensity and volume are both pretty high!

I was just saying this. When started doing more Leg Extensions I swear I started jumping a little higher.
Makes sense! It works the knee extensors, and the knee extensors play a huge role in jumping.. law of specificity 💪🏼
@@IsaiahRivera1 well you could tell you messed with your lower back with you doing those ridiculous squats with chicken legs(don't get me wrong you got impressive hops) like yours. So you shouldn't do squats and if you do, do squats with what you could actually do and not show off. Leg extensions are perfect for jumping and they don't mess with your legs flexibility.

whats the point of lifting all year and be scared to get injured before contest and cut your seshs to jumping 1 time a week
less sessions per week = less impact on the joints = healthier knees for contest and no muscle soreness, i guess

Deloading man! The week before comps I always cut my lifting and jumping volume in half in order to peak for the competition. It’s called tapering and is very common in track and field
