  • Two Belgians having fun at the NRD drift track.
The leader at the start is a Yokomo YD-2 SX (rwd). I chase with a Team Magic E4D-MF PRO (1.64cs). Later in the video we swap places.
We were drifting before filming and we went on when the camera stopped.

Interesting to see how you have these two vehicles matched so well. I would imagine the speed and angle would be very different between RWD and cs

Hi, thanks for your interest in my video. And correct, this wasn't easy to do. But as there are not much CS drivers anymore, i'm used to drive with RWD drivers. CS and RWD both have places on track where they go fast/slow, and that's different. Especially with CS as chase car, it's difficult to keep a narrow distance alle the time. Also keeping angle wasn't easy, because this chassis has only 1,64 cs rate. I also used a Yokomo DIB with 1.82 cs. More angle, but less stable at long straight lines.

do you recommend the E4D-MF Brushless version? ... it will be my first drift car and most likely will be used at home and for street bashing .... I mainly looking for on road street basher and when I saw it with some guys I loved the chassis layout and the fact that it is a AWD so it will be more stable if i installed touring tires on ... I'm interested in your thoughts about that and if you have any other recommendations

Thanks for your interest. This is the PRO version that came without electronics. I've put a cheap sensored brushless combo in it (Sky RC Cheetah) that fits the chassis pretty well because of the color (orange alu). But it's programmable with a card and does the job well. I also did some settings on my transmitter for better control and more smoothness.I use the stock shocks but with other springs and oil, and i use specific drift tires for carpet (DS Racing CS FFFF zero). After doing some setup on camber, shock position and front toe out it's really what i like. But what you like is very personal and my setup is for carpet drifting.I've driven a RTR version with brushed combo in the basement of a shop, but that's no big deal in my opinion. Go for brushless. The servo was also slow. But as many people are pretty wild with the steering, it's worth trying with that standard servo at first.I'm happy with this chassis how it is. But you will have to find a good setup to drive at home and on the Streets. That's up to you, whatever chassis you buy.A few disadvantages on this chassis compared to other ones: The availability and price of parts for example. I don't find many retailers for it. And no other brand have parts that fit this chassis, whereas other brands sometimes use the same size of parts. Only D-like has the same parts, because the EVOLV Soundmeister is the same chassis in fact. Talking about sizing of parts: the turnbuckles need a very thin key for setup. I have Yokomo ones on it and can use a normal key.If you want a RTR car, maybe the MST MS-01D is something for you. MST recently released a complete plastic version to reduce price. Thst chassis is long time on the market and the second hand market is bigger than with E4D-MF chassis. Parts are probably easier to find. And that's a good thing because the plastic rear spool breaks easily and need to be replaced by a alu one. I have a VIP version of the MS-01D but i like my E4D-MF PRO more
