In this video I'm snowboarding at Californias biggest ski resort on a epic powder day. This was my fist big powder day at palisades and we met up with a local who showed us the best runs on the mountain. This was one of my best days of snowboarding ever. Thanks for watching!

Tahoe is such a beautiful place to ski and ride. Seems like it’s always BOOM or BUST for snow though. Some years dry, some years heavy.

I was also at palisades on this day…. best day of riding in my entire life!! The east side glades were all untouched and there was barely anyone riding over there. I can confidently say It’ll be a few years until I get another day like this. We absolutely scored.

Pretty small resort for the Alps, but in California I guess this is considered huge. Pretty unusual terrain as well.

@@mmontero15 For US maybe, but not for Europe. It has only 29 lifts. Here we have resorts with 130 lifts or 168 lifts. It has a lot of snow though, we have a bit less in Europe right now.

I have no problems snowboarding, however, I oftentimes have to pause in the middle of a run due to quad fatigue. I've seen good snowboarders connect smaller turns of maybe 10 degrees frequently switching from heel to toe effectively riding straight, presumably to avoid prolonging a wide turn across the slope which will blast your quads on the heel side especially. I can do this myself but it doesn't resolve the issue for me.
Another quick question ... how do you go about increasing speed while avoiding catching an edge? I've heard some say that riding flat based will get you going faster but as far as I know you're technically always on an edge even if the pressure is slight, and imo doesn't sound like a great idea on steeper terrain to just send it flat unless you're looking to wipe out.
@@malikbrahimi7504 i think you are doing well but just need more mileage on the board to get comfortable with speed, you dont always have to be on an edge, but in the beginning it may feel like you are about to fall
@@inmotion_snow Probably just need to do more squats and increase my capacity for fatigue by going more frequently haha. First day last weekend with a new bataleon board too so def need to get that mileage in, thanks bro

I was in Palisades for the week of Christmas and have to admit I wasn’t a big fan. Didn’t like the vibe at all, and as far as the mountain itself I like Mammoth a lot better. The Alpine Meadows side was nice though.
