Great video Chris!
Thanks!
Love my Hunter and already put 2k miles on it but that original seat was awful. I felt perched on the end with zero support on my upper thighs plus the sloped seat wouldnt allow me to slide further back so I swapped it gor their 'signature ' seat and wow what a difference. Its more supportive plus allows me to slide back to endless positions on longer ride. Best mod I did.
Dude. Appreciate the comment. I’ll check that out
Beautiful bike and perfect for the Philippines. I like RE 411 Scram. It is on my wish list. A bit more capable on poor roads the 411 cc allows for driving on all roads. Love your videos ❤️
Hey man. Thanks for watching and commenting. I too like the 411 Scram. Great bike
I was thinking about a bike like Sir Daot has. What’s your thoughts? That Suzuki 250.
My initial thoughts are it’s too small but I need to ride it.
Hi Chris , u mentioned registration too a couple of months ? What’s the effect of that? Can’t ride the bike ? Is that for new bikes only? What about used bikes? Is transfer of title easy ? Cheers
Yeah and it’s a pain. New bike and can’t ride it until it’s registered
Nice review! 👍
Thanks! 👍
Lil spinner! Congrats!
So much fun to ride
@@CarefreeChris That's awesome! Just please remember to strap on your helmet, Sir.
I got the reference 😂
Nice bike Chris. Haha still like my Honda PCX. Looking forward to your next road trip.
Great practical scooter no question
just asking I run a 1500 or larger in the us are their any bikes of that size in the Philippines'
No, not really. Most of the bikes are below 150 cc and the ideal motorcycle size in my opinion is between 300 and 500 cc.
Ive ridden bikes for years, all the way up to 1100cc. So I am reluctant to get a scooter. Having said that, I want to travel the islands and am concenred about the position needed riding a bike vs scooter for extened periods of times Given a second chance would you stay with Enfield (bike) or go with a scooter????
I didn’t feel good on a scooter so going with bikes 350-500 range
I never understood the one sided luggage, looks odd. The short wheel base does make it look cramped when you are seated.
Yeah, the luggage is a real pain, but I actually think I’m gonna have a guy make me a back rack.
My riding buddy has a Harley 883 air-cooled. With the super hot weather recently, he had overheating problems every now and then. His engine would simply stop and refuse to restart, like a stubborn mule. How about your bike? No problems with the heat or overheat?
I haven’t had any issues with it whatsoever. It’s been running just fine really.
@@CarefreeChris So this overheating problem seems to be Harley specific, at least for the older models.
Thats a nice size front disc for braking too, looks huge in the video. Seriously considering the 350 Meteor but also want to check out any v-twins they have over there. Personally think 2 cylinders are better than one but would rather have a quality bike, not a Suzuki or Kawasaki. Thanks for the 6k kilometer review, Chris...Jim
Hey Jim. Don’t have a ton of options out here but i dig the Meteor. Classic bike for sure. Big riding community out here with those bikes too
Nice bike and babe. What more does a man need?
Jack Daniels
Agree wholeheartedly
@@CarefreeChris You dont drink
@@1oldsoldier28 true but understand the world of it
His phone obviously.
Have you ever come across any ural motorcycles over there?
Yeah, I have actually. On my Instagram page there’s a couple of pictures of some wild bikes.
@CarefreeChris I'm a little slow. Following you there now too.
Cool bike!
I think so too!:)
good review. I think I heard somewhere you need 300 cc or more to go on the highway, is that true?
400 cc minimum to go on the express way. Highway is open for all
Yeah exactly. 400cc and up for interstates around the Manila area. Only that area through and everywhere else in the Philippines you’re good
Don’t forget the CCLEX bridge in Cebu has a lane to the far right for under CC bikes
@@thebeachoflife This seems to be the exemption from the rule. To my knowledge (and the express ways I used) there is no such lane on the other express ways.
Cool video Chris . Girlfriend seems so sweet and nice
I think so too!
I have a motorcycle but after my cousin died im scared to ride especially in the Philippines
I hear ya.
Waiting for the Hunter 450, or Guerilla 450..
Yes! Hope so:)
Hey Chris, I sent you a message on WhatsApp but not sure you have the same number. What do you think of the Meteor 350 or any other cruiser?
Great bike, especially if you’re in the classic bikes.
I’m a big fan of Royal Enfield and here in the Philippines there’s a pretty big classic following as well.
Nice bike 🏍
I love it
I'm looking at my first moto purchase in the Philippines. Sold a BMW 1250 GS in the states to help finance the move, but now looking at a Honda ADV 160 here, mainly due to budget. Huge downgrade. If I could go big, I'd look at another Adventure style bike, more modest engine size though.
Yeah, I’m really excited to pick up the 450 Himalayan here in the next couple months. I’ve already bought the bike. I’m just waiting for it to arrive. ADV 160 is a
very practical bike and works well for 90% of the country.
If you do any riding outside the city, consider getting a dirt bike. Outside the city, your most likely danger is a dog. An ADV 160 might mess you up if you hit a dog. A dirt bike will eat the dog. And in the province, when it rains, some roads are not passible in an ADV 160 but easily so with a dirt bike.
I think you’re on the right track. Honda CB500X, Kawasaki Versys 650 and maybe Benelli TRK502, look nice mid size options and if I was going smaller Suzuki SX 250 look well priced. There’s now way you need anything bigger in Asia. I like a ADV but I’m a similar build to Chris and don’t like the riding position of a scooter.
@@huckfan2603CB500x is on my short list. I’m wondering when/if the Philippines will get the new NX variant.
A 350 is a small bike. But at 400 lbs it's very heavy. For 2 up riding I would get a 650 water cooled bike at a minimum.
It’s a small big bike isn’t it.
I am thinking that that dress was designed by a man - zipper down the front from top to bottom. Don't even need two hands. Shoot, don't even need one hand. Teeth will suffice.
lol right.
it sounds like a one lung Triumph.
Looks like one too
For the PH the Yamaha "Serow" XT250 dualsport wins hands down. But it's nice to have a Click scooter also. NO Xynese garbage like Rusi!
If I encountered more dirt roads I’d look more towards a dual sport but 99% of what’s I’ve seen so far has been paved which is why I’m moving towards an ADV bike
@@CarefreeChris But then, if for example you want to ride over from Valencia behind Mt. Talinis, you can't becoz the R.E. is pretty limited off-road. While the Serow, or an XR150L (what I first used on my year long 18000 mile wiggle around all the PH) can also handle any "hi-way" the PH offers except the Manila-Angeles toll road, (400cc minimum). Buyt really, all that matters is being out there. Except for Rusi's which are CCP "tofu dreg" builds.
What it cost Chris ?
I can’t remember exactly how much I paid for it but I think it was around 370,000 pesos.
Cheers man. Great travel info. So jealous lol
Four bikes? How many girls now?
Lol
I love to see any bike review. That company used to make firearms. Your babarooni is a keeper. I fell in love w her sister.
They’re both pretty incredible no question:)
Buntag Chris
Yes. Good morning:)
It's to small. Get yourself a 1500-1800cc
lol it’s like a Ferrari on a go kart track
