The delivery of this joke was so good
To be honest, All Star is actually a superbly written song. It stays on subject the whole song, it develops metaphors for more than half a line, the meter and rhyme are on point, it's symmetrical from verse to verse, well arranged, unique music style, and not even a bad subject. Its leagues better than a lot of top 40 hits today. Anyway, credit where its due!

Perhaps the lesson we are supposed to learn is never be afraid to be yourself, perhaps the parts of you you hate the most might be the parts that someone loves the best. Something like that. It's so bad that I don't think I can get enjoyment out of it even if it were an Honest Trailer.
The first movie was a masterpiece, Meltdown was a decent sequel, Dawn of the Dinosaurs was pretty good, Continental Drift was kinda "meh" in my eyes, and I actually loved Collision Course unlike most other people. I, personally, would like to see an Honest Trailer for the first movie.

Honest trailers really need to go back to their roots and review bad movies - and actually capitalise on the premise. Stop making 5-7 minute reviews of solid movies using a trailer voice and actually make honest trailers. I say this with love.
Still feels the same to me. And they do good and bad movies alike since the beginning. Third honest trailer was titanic, soxth oke was dark knight, so you see, still pretty much the same ;)

They do whatever movie or game is most requested, so it's really the fans fault for requesting stuff they like instead of stuff they want ripped to pieces.
When they utilise the premise that's when it's great. I get that it's fan appreciation month but reviewing decent movies for 7 minutes is pretty common and it's just not what really works.
The fact that Shrek is number one says it all. I guess Shrek has become some sort of meme, but there is absolutely nothing about it that lends itself to an honest trailer. But legions of people mindlessly voted for it because of shrek memes. These fans shouldn't be the people making the decisions.

I agree. We need to give them time. I mean it's not easy to think of new, funny, and relevant lyrics to all those songs. I've found that to be my favorite part about the Disney Honest Trailers even if I didn't care for the movie itself.

Shrek is now in the National Film Registry of the Library Of Congress for being culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant. This is the first non Disney animated film to have been honored. Love it or hate it, Shrek was a game changer that showed that animation film studios can go toe to toe with Disney. While I won’t act like like there hasn’t been any wrong lessons taken from the success of Shrek, I still believe that Shrek 1&2 hold up rather well.
