I am sure that there is something deep in our DNA that make us feel great when swinging and axe.
Agree with this big time, just told my wife the other night i feel like it’s in the blood. Love these videos Buckin’
It really does get in your blood, I've been a timber cutter for 12 years now and do res tree service too and I am absolutely the happiest when I'm on a saw or swinging an axe there is a very simple satisfaction in it peace and love my friends
All Canadians know this feeling. And that maple syrup is the only syrup. And that the maple leafs suck. ITS PART OF OUR HERITAGE!
If by we you mean europeans then yes
@@greglyhoblit Im talking about all humans. Its from the stone axe days.
I did Karate for 33 years, used to be an instructor. So there are movements I do that are just natural to me; I do them without thinking. This is the same way BBR splits wood. That axe is just an extension of his spirit. I could watch it all day!
The laser beam was my introduction to the world of Buckin Billy Ray! What a fateful day in my life! Things have never been the same! And I’m glad! Love you Buckin and the Buckin army! Thanks❤️🪓
Those laser beam snot rockets at around 2:15!
Buckin, I sat down after an exhausting day at work in the hospital. 15 minutes into the video, I paused it to go out to split a few pieces of firewood. I’m still exhausted, but I’m invigorated!
Wouldn’t be a Buckin’ video without a good double “Air Hanky” aka Snot Rocket
yup....makes me lol every time... what you see is what you get... a living legend if there ever was one!
Love it...cracks me up everytime! Def a living legend
Ballparking it!
Here in Australia we call it a 'bushman's hanky'.
Im in the GA and we call em alabama shotguns lol
Tiger Woods called and wants his golf swing back...
What an awesome piece of hardware and talented operator.
God speed Buckin!
I'm at about an 11.5 on the gratitude and spiritual scale currently. I'm grateful for this channel honestly. It really just started synchronizing with everything not only because of the tree industry. But about the whole direction and style of business
That no one understands. It runs off karma. And one man. Helping his community with his lifeline and powersaw.
I've got to say this channel has grew my skills exponentially in all aspects of wood from axes, saws, wedges and overall mentality. Watching these videos every day how could you not learn something and not become better? I'm a wood splitting lover whereas before I hated it. Now I know why. I wasn't good at it and relied on strength and luck which tired me out quickly. I could go on for days about what I've learnt solely from these videos. Thank you Buckin for these consistent uploads and always sharing your knowledge with us. Seriously!
A big pile of split wood can make a fella feel rich in more ways than one. Love to you and the family buckin❤️
You have fast/deft hands. When the "Laser beam" bounced rather than split, you rotated the bit in your hands in your back swing. I try to learn something new every day, today that move was it. Thanks for what you do, stay safe in your journey.
Neighbor: Hiya buckin', you look happy today.
Buckin' - Yep, had a physical therapy session, feel great!
Neighbor: - Oh yeah, whats the name of your therapist?
Buckin': - Laser beam...
“I just like my axes man!”

My Wife was really into your tree falling videos until your your first snot rocket blow, I laughed so hard at her response......
Game Changer Buckin! we can’t wait to be able to swing the bullet! And it’s so amazing to me a fellow woodman, how I could literally just sit here n watch you swing those axes! Your knowledge, wisdom, and experience not just on wood and axes and so much more but on life and how to live is inspiring us all to strive to be better! Ty friend
My friend, I'm telling you the straight truth here! Your videos have created a whole new passion for me. Watching the work you do has driven me to get trained in operating power saws in an area where all falling is mechanized. It has led me to begin operating a small firewood business, and I have found a love for going out and cutting wood. My Arvika 5 star and I spend a lot of time together, as well as my 372 when I am out in the woods. Am I learning? You bet! Slowly but surely. Making errors along the way in sharpening both the saw and the axe, getting both stuck in the wood, but I am out there at age 48 learning by myself as I go. And for that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Love to all!
Your a legend the Buckin, just bought my 3rd axe yesterday. U have inspired me to start collecting and swinging splittin wood. Yeew
I’m excited about seeing the wood bullet in action, hope to be able to give it a go. Keep on Buckin
You are a great neighbor, love to see how great full folks are when you help them with splitting there logs. I know how good it feels to help them out. Love ya Buckin.
Hey Buckin', last weekend I was splitting to stock up my old Mothers wood store after the winter and I got into some bigger rounds than I'm used to, I'd have been there all week if I'd not seen your advice about chipping off the sides! You do great work, and like the rest of the community here, I appreciate you sharing your expertise, thank you.
Never underestimate the power of kindness. I think you could split wood with a hatchet Buckin! You are a surgeon with an axe and I love every minute of it. God bless you my brother!
HAPPY YOU R HERE FRIEND
Subscribed, just because of the energy that oozes from him as he swings the axe and his not pretentious.
Hi people’s this man is amazing
On the axe 🪓 and he loves is passion , he’s one of a kind ,
This man is special in this world 🌎 I’m proud to be part of is community on CZcams Thank you to be you Mr Bucking Billy Ray every day i can’t wait to watch your video 🌎🇨🇦🪓❤️🌲😎👍👍🎶 and it’s always well✅ done with love ❤️ ☕️🙋🏻♂️
BERT YER VERY NICE TO ME ... THX PAL
Your videos got me back into hand splitting and I’m very grateful for that. I’ve got a big splitter, and I had been processing firewood with it, but for a couple of years now I’ve switched back to swinging and honestly I feel like it takes *less effort* at the end of the day. I’m smack dab in the middle of the woods and my firewood is often pretty far from the road. Now I just split it where the tree lays and load a wheelbarrow that I push to the truck.
Cheers, brother! I took down a 33” California Black Oak this morning and I got some swinging in! My hands hurt like hell, but I’ll sleep well tonight!
Thanks Buckin you've really helped me improve my splitting, but you've given me a problem, so my wife says, I have to many axes. She tells me how many do you need, I tell her just one more!
Buckin does it again. I settle down at night, watch the latest Buckin vid and the day just melts away! It always lifts my Spirit to watch and listen to this guy. Keep at it Buckin'. We're behind ya friend!
THX
love the content buckin, this video has compelled me to look at axes on eBay for a couple hours. Luckily I’ve found multiple candidates for a laxer beam of my own, I even found an old Kelly real similar to the wood bullet. I already have two plumbs but I don’t really use them for splitting on account of their thin profile and the lack of softwoods in my area. I’ll make sure keep y’all updated on any future projects. Love always and be kind my friends
Evening Buckin, thanks for the video!
Seriously looking forward to seeing the Wood Bullet in mass production. There will (eventually) be one in my wood shed. Thanks Buckin’ for all you do.
YOU BET
This is what Efficiency V looks like.
on a nether rite axe 😉
@@ecresci 😂
Can not wait till you start producing the axes to the masses. I know I will be buying. You are the "Man". Take Care, Stay Safe and Be Kind...
i would be happy to buy one of your new axes. thanks for the positivity and the busting. i feel like im there with ya.
I've been waiting all day for this
Pretty sure any axe in this man's hands is a laser beam.
Much love to you Buckin'. I needed one of these splitting vids today. Thank you.
WELCOME
Thanks for showing up for life my friend and then sharing it with us.
I love these long videos they’re super entertaining and are time consuming when your bored especially in these times.
That fancy footwork on the first swing of the Laser made me chuckle. Quite a swing in your step with that chopping jig👍🏻
Split show lovin this. love to see the wood bullet in different hands and see the growth of the greatest splittin axe one the planet. Thanks Buckin. Love to the fam and to the Buckin Army. 🌲❤🌲✊🪓
I just restored a Collins Homestead. I'm slowly gonna work back the bit to get a similar profile to the lazer and soon enough I should have a nice firewood chopper.
Your passion is contagious. Thank you.
Hi Louie!! From Charlotte NC USA.
That's one great work-out Buckin', you're an animal.
The axe isn’t a laser, you are. The ace goes exactly where you want it. Lol.
Laser beam gets hot for sure. Hugs from bohemian forest
I dunno what the woods like over there, but you should come split some Australian hardwoods, it doesnt go anything like this hahaha, have a good one.
North Americans are just built different man
Buckin, I'm surprised that you and I use the same handkerchief, my god man, you so funny! The laser beam axe is tremendous. You always make my day when you split timbers, it's something I never had to do. In fact, firewood is used in my town for esthetic purposes only, we use electricity to heat our homes. The was a time many years ago when I was dating my wife that her house was heated by a floor furnace heated by natural gas.
You are knocking out the firewood, each Axe you use handles the job perfectly.
I've been watching EC steadily from the start of his channel. I saw the bustin wood video the other day and then went straight to your channel. I had seen you the first time just a few days before ironically so it perked my ears up when he gave you that shout out. Lol
WELCOME FRIEND

Great splittin buckin. Loved the maul talk. Swing a maul myself; havent had much luck with axes unfortunately. Stay safe and keep on cuttin' and smilin' bud!
Yessss more laser beam action!! Weeeew!! I need one of those ASAP!!
Your a good man Love your chat at the end brother
I'm here because of The Essential Craftsman. When he made that comment, I had to find out who Buckin' Billy Ray was. Glad I did.
AH i APPRECIATE YA SIR THX SO MUCH
Bless you Billy you're a good man.
Thank you four taking ur time too put something that I love too do thanks all ways will be a friend with me watched all ways
Great axe video. Louie my man. 💪🏻🪓💪🏻🪓
Like your idea about a sideways thumb - kind of like a neutral "verdict" 😊, and again looking forward to be able to buy a wood built at some point - would love to have one👍
Checkin in home of the knotty oak
big sharp maul
but put me down for bullet
if only for my wall !
Love the channel friend
Always amazes me how a guy can split fir over and over again and never seem to get tired of it. Green fir splits like butter more often than not. The only wood that I think splits easier is green alder or green maple. Fir is always tougher at the base of the tree to split. Buckin never seems to get tired of this stuff 🪓.
Thanks Buckin just put in a request for this axe on your website... thank you for what you do sir 👍
WELCOME FRIEND
Keep up the great work mate it's very good
Some beautiful axes Buckin 🤙 Gday from Australia Louie! Far North Coast NSW ❤️
LASERBEAM!
I like my fiskars X27, never disappointed me while splitting wood of deciduous trees.
Kind regards from The Netherlands, Bernard.
you remind me of the old days not forgotten
nice video watching it from Greece . i love the content and the quotes in beetween make me think about life
Thank you for the amazing video.
Hey Billy, nice vid as always. I hope u can make a good one speaking about and testing a fiskars axe (x25/27), could be interesting seeing differences from "modern" axes and old school laser beam axe. Keep going mate, cheers from Italy
Ur kidding me! A buckin billy ray video oh heck ya buckin beautiful work buckin
You have a following here in northwest Georgia USA as well. I'm telling folks to watch and subscribe all the time. Nearly daily. Thank ViceGrip Garage again when you think of it. He sent me too you and I'm super happy he did everyday.
Hey Buckin! Just recently fully subscribed to your channel but have been watching it blow up for a while now. I wanted to thank you for being such a positive friend and giving me the boost I needed to start refurbishing old axes. The timings great too bc I just moved up to Montana. I was wondering if you could do a video on a proper maul refurbishing/sharpening. I don't think I've ever seen you do one and watching your 500i vs 426 video I noticed your old man's mauls got some DANGEROUS mushrooming goin on. I'd love to see a video of you knocking the fragments off and putting a deadly edge on em!
You are the man buckin
Your a very wise man I love it
Good chopping there fellas, be kind! 👍
When you drop into the mc game with an efficiency 5 diamond axe.
You make it look so easy
Love the way you blast out the snot 😉😂 cool axe
I just took down a shag bark hickory...Love to see what a true axe would do with it...CRAZY SPLITTIN Brother !!!!
Be safe out there and God Bless :)
23:18 I use the Fiskars X25 and I wear mechanics gloves while splitting so the plastic handle is a non-issue. I've tried the X27 and found the balance to be off and a lot more vibration up to my arms than with the X25. You guys got me wanting to try that Wood Bullet.
Love that double bit it's insane great splitting axe welcome all new COMERS everyone have a great day
Your neighbors are happy to have you
Hello from Marion Illinois USA that will make a young man old and a old man young.
Nice man you make splitting wood easy. Here in the northeast it's crazy oak and hickory is insane to split
Thank you for sharing.
Greetings from Poland great video great axes.
This ones my favorite!!
You are an extraordinary man sir love your channel.
This is what I found with the newest Fisk long handles. It's like really! No more maul! Nice
Master at work!
I stared for a good 5 minutes and was only able to see the name Wendy along the bottom of the tree. Great tattoo!!
great ax splitting video.
Thank you for the video
I really like hickory handles and some fiberglass. Fiskars X27 is a splitting axe, they have an eight pound Isocore maul too. Well worth the $60 price tag for the X27. Husqvarna has a line made by Gardena in the European Union (EU). I also have the Husqvarna S2800 splitting axe with a 27 1/2 '' handle and five pound head. It retails for $99 and you can pound aluminum bangers with the oversized poll, its well worth the price again especially if you split a lot of balsam fir for campfires, like I do. They can't replace the nostalgia of the "Old Hickory" but the heads have a more modern design, specifically for splitting purposes and stick deeper than a traditional felling axe.
This guy makes it look easy
Hey buckin. Glad to watch you and wanted to know how I can get one of the bullet axes
hey buckin'
25:31 looked like he stepped into his own swing but what do I know nothing. Learned a lot on this video
