this has been one of my comfort songs for years. after countless hospitalizations and treatments for mental health / substance abuse, i finally understand why: i was suffering with borderline personality disorder. it’s like a switch was flipped. my life finally makes sense. now that the problem is defined it can be defeated. i wouldn’t wish it on anyone. i know it’s such a cliche, but it does get better. keep fighting the good fight. here’s to never being that low again 💛

@@larqprod I know nothing about borderline but I’m 3 weeks clean now. I still feel like shit all the time but I wouldn’t ever go back. It’s been 10 years and countless relapses. I’ll never be done and definitely am not out of the deep water yet, but I’ve never made it this far and still been so dedicated to getting clean. Hope you’re still doing good! Live and learn

I have been struggling with major anxiety since the beginning of middle school to the point where it caused me to throw up every day for a week in the morning and I have been a fan of Alex G since the beginning of middle school and this song has helped me a lot. I always wanted to hear the words, “Everything is okay” and Alex G is the first person to say it to me and I forever will love this song. I never go a day without anxiety and I am tired of it. I alos have been suicidal since the age of 8 and I even started self harming in middle school. Then I brought it up to my mom and she said I didnt self harm and now I dont know if I did or not and It makes me worry because what if I did it all for attention? But anyways I just wanted to share stuff about me and my anxiety never leaves me not even for a day. I dont know if its normal or I have something but my family thinks its all in my mind. Anyways thank you for anyone who reads this and hopefully you hear from me again. 🫶

I've been playing some sad visual novels while constantly listening to this song and this is just wow. Really, this song is so emotional and it can improve the general atmosphere by a lot, strongly recommend buying the license if you're struggling to find a good melody for your work or simply give it a try and play some games or read books with a good narrative and a believable sad story with this song on repeat

i just finished watching a playthrough of the last of us ((((((SPOILER)))))) and i keep thinking of the part at the very end where ellie gets back to where she and dina and JJ lived and it's empty and she tries to play guitar but she cant because she's missing some fingers. imagine that. somehow i feel short of breath when i think of it. tlou is a fucking amazing game, go watch/play it. at least i have the tv show to watch lmao. it should be good

@BeeKats wow thanks ! I remember hearing about those but never played them thank you so much ! I usually like games with a lot of talking and I will definitely give them a try ! I remember some games I really like if you're still interested so that's up to you ! Last year I played life is strange 2, I enjoyed the first one but really grew tired of it, and I know the fan base can be boring but the 2nd game really gave me that Alex g vibe and it was worth playing it ! I also loved the horror game cry of fear, it's quite old now but since I really enjoyed silent hill 2 I thought it was similar, it's a shooter, but the story is really cool
To the moon is a rpg and an emotional experience too
There's also machinarium and samorost(1,2,3), they're simple games and the visuals are majestic, I found them relaxing and listening to Alex g while playing those could be a great idea actually
I usually check lists of indie games and pick some, you never know what you could find !

My boyfriend always says whenever I put on my music it sounds like death and makes him feel like he may aswell have a fucking gun shooting through his head so I suppress what I play outloud but he's asleep in the lounge and I'm comfy and I miss not achingly but comfortably the time of feeling free in whatever sounds surrounded my atmosphere and I fucking love this song and live for it and I was all in solitude at the start of lockdown nearly two years ago slicing my arms to the fat then slicing over the same cut injury days into it's healing then do it again it took months to heal and this song was there helping me vibe in the beautiful free sunny emptiness smoking my rationed ciggies in the playground next to where I lived
