For #2, I also have this problem A LOT. What usually helps me with that is writing these ideas down as best as I can! That way I can draw them later when I do have the time and/or motivation :D
I can't draw but i have a friend who does he will often show me his drawings, i was and always is completely honest about what i think of his drawings, he's not bad but definitely not great, he draws a lot but doesnt have a lot of knowledge, i like learning things for the sake of learning them, so i actually taught him things like perspective, i always critique his work saying what i think is good or not, but i always make sure to compliment him not because i don't want him to feel bad, but because i genuinely feel like what he does is great(not necessarily in terms of quality), and because it's way more helpful to point out when someone does something good then when they do something badly. you can be infinitely wrong but there are few ways to be right. either way, i think you should try and support anyone who tries to do something creative, because when they are good enough they will create something only they will, and i think that's beautiful(please do not give this comment a heart)

I am an art kid and in my first ever relationship, my ex would say he couldn't even look at my art sometimes just because of the personal style I used. He would push a very semi realistic style onto me, when actually I'd prefer a more stylised look. Any other styles that were just different, he'd make a fuss over and shit talk them. It made me terrified to share what I made and the stuff I loved because I knew he'd just tear into it. Moral of the story is: It can be hurtful, and it's good to recognise that art is never perfect and sometimes need a few improvements, but you should never have to feel hurt because of it. People like my ex sometimes don't understand how their words could hurt us artists who spend hours on our work, and if they can't see that then to not waste time on people who just make us feel shitty. If you can, find the right people to surround yourself with- who will love you no matter what your ability may be, and when they do give advice it's from a place of care and alongside complements. If you find the right people to share your work with, it can make all the difference. Keep strong and don't give up your art because of those shitty comments. ^^
Thankfully i didnt let myself go down the black hole and i found people who are my true friends, thats why, with their help and comforting words i got to this point and never gave up! Thank you for your words btw haha😄☺
A 14 year old artist from the Philippines, i can relate to most of your experiences (except the groupchat and "can you draw me please" part). Your voice sounds so pleasant you can be a voice actor for a movie, or a video game

Honestly, even as a university student, my art is still the same from high school. Even I went to drawing classes, I still feel behind from the rest of the students who were a lot more experienced. But, I think because artists suppose to build different.
I've been drawing for practically my whole life. I know how ya feel. Although I've always done it as a hobby, I've always done art for fun. I like doing it, so I do it.

Hey I'm a serbian artist too :)) I just found your channel but I like your art! The atmosphere/mood for the landscapes at 4:41 were really nicely done. I'm a highschool art student so I kinda have to do realism there everytime, unless the professors let us do our own thing once in a blue moon. I don't mind it too much though even if I loveee to stylize since it helped me understand the fundamentals better I experienced a lot of the problems in the video too, although it doesn't happen as much anymore. Now i struggle with other things, like unfairly comparing myself to people with metric tons of experience lmao. Still tryna break out of that rut; everyone learns at their own pace in their own journey after all
3:10 I hate when people go "use a reference it won't be so wonky!" yeah I am? I'm not copying it piece for piece either though, and with other people's styles, some don't go perfect joint for joint on each finger, sorry. Look at styles like old cartoons, they have basic anatomy, but it's stretchy and soft too, with little to no sharp edges. (which for back then, it had to do with animating the characters, as sharp jagged edges were/are harder to animate) Many styles take from that, and don't have to be perfect anatomy to be good.

Exactly, i made a drawing back in highscool from a reference pose and my frienda kept telling to look up references, and looking back at it now that im a lot better in art, the anatomy was totally fine, i dont even know what they saw that looked weird with the pose and it made me even more angry about them 😩
I understand the pain I am a young artist and I was a pretty decent work but I can’t decide an art style so all my work looks like on cohesive when will be cartoon one will be realism the next page everybody’s like no way this came from the same person and I have got accused of stealin art

I can a bit relate but the most with me there is a bully and he will take my drawing a way and there is like i was talking in with my friend and he was drawing and i thought he thought that that drawing was mine so he took it and i say "yo where is the drawing" and he say " idk" and i say " but you're the one who takes it its not mines its my friend's " then i say "where's is the drawing" he said "idk" that's why i didn't count him as an friend more like an obstacle for my anger problem
I mean I think his main goal is to annoy me but it did but by took away my friends paper drawing my friend is pure gold golden retriever heart mealting friend I ever have and he doesn't mind tho
Bruh you look kinda like me in the drawing the only difference is the jacket color I wear one it would be rainbow or light blue because it's my fav color
The (CAN YOU DRAW ME) I hate it so much cause I always hear that word in my school they always say hey can you draw me of course I can but when it's to much I get a little bit angry and sad and tired but I don't show it to them... Only 10% of the class there are actual artists and and people wanting to get into art. The rest are just kids trying to get an easy grade for one of their electives.

It always happens if we draw badly or the design looks a little ugly. It happened to me, but as a child I only drew stick monkeys.
