Celje Railway Station is one of the largest railway stations in Slovenia, serving the city of Celje. It is located on Krekov Square at the eastern edge of the old town centre.
The two-story railway station was built in 1846 when the first train arrived to Celje. The construction of the approximately 570 kilometres long railway line connected Celje to Vienna and Trieste, this constituting one of the first milestones in the development of the city's economy.

Great video. It has been almost 180 years since the railways came to our nearby Celje, but the speed of trains to Ljubljana is still almost the same today.
Well, but you have to consider that the terrain from Litija to ljubljana it's a difficult terrain, it would need a very very big investment to make a high-speed line to Ljubljana.
@@railtrainspotting Sure, it would require funds, only here in Slovenia the problem with such matters is corruption and theft of state money... In 2024, you need 6 hours to go from east to west Slovenia by train, for 300 kilometers...

well they are renovating the line from ljubljana to zidani most and the line from ljubljana to divača also the second track from koper to divača its almost done so i think they will shorten the time of the trip by quite a lot but we will see what will hapen i personaly realy like traveling with train yes it is not the fastest but you see a lot more of our country from a train then from driving on the higway. @@ZDRAWC
